Really solid show, exceptional all around (except for bloody henry vs ryback). Cena 4 ever!!!! So happy he won, great ending but the punk vs taker match stole the show. Just awesome.

I agree. Punk/taker was one of the best but actually I loved the Triple H/Lesnar Match... although would have been better if the bastard tapped.

The show was a solid...."Meh"
Everything happened just the way it was supposed to (aside from Mark Henry winning, which made no sense since after that, Ryback just got up and hit his finish anyway.) No real surprises.
- I thought Fandango/Jericho was solid, but was hurt by the lack of moves Fandango actually did. He had a very basic offense but is clearly capable of more. I would rank this as the 2nd best match of the show behind Punk/Taker.
- And while I'm at it, I am so sick of people calling Punk kicking out of the tombstone a "Wrestlemania moment" already. Otherwise the match was great.
- Triple H and Brock was fine. It told the wrong story, but it worked. I reject the idea that Triple H could hang with Brock in a fight, At least this wasn't an MMA match where HHH beats Brock. And if he made Brock tap, I would have stabbed a kitten. True story.
- John Cena had a real chance to make history at this show, but they didn't pull the trigger on his heel turn. Had he just cheated and won and flipped off the fans or something, We would be talking about this as an top 10 all time Wrestlemania easily.
But instead, this is just a ho-hum Wrestlemania not good, not bad. Just...there.

The thing is though if Cena pulls the trigger who is going to be the face of the WWE? Sheamus? I don't think so, there is no possible way that he can turn heel yet. The match itself was ok but nothing special but apart from that I thought it was a really solid show also the jericho vs fandango match was one of my favs because whiling selling the huge upset with Jericho losing also made him look strong with most of the offence which means he can leave now and come back still strong

I was biting my tongue when Cena was teasing smacking Rocky with the belt at the end, (or did I just imagine that?) It didn't happen though, so whatever, Cena's still Cena and that's what he's good for. Fandango stole the show for me, and major props to Jericho for actually working to put him over, an opportunity Jericho himself wasn't given when breaking in. The Punk Taker match was great, albiet it felt a bit shorter than I wanted it, but maybe I'm just used to having epic battles of epicness whenever Undertaker's involved. Rock vs Cena II was much better than the first one, though it did feel like it was mostly just finisher after finisher after finisher... Oh, and Cena's smirk when he faked the peoples elbow was classic.
Swagger may have destroyed himself with that DWI, hopefully they'll give him a chance to bounce back after this, he's still got talent in the ring, and with Dutch as his mouthpiece, he's got a lot of potential to be a really hot heel.

Cena will not turn heel, not when Rock may not even have a year left in him. Cena's the future of the company, like it or not, and he won't be turning heel. It was a smart finish from the WWE to get Cena some respect back from the fans. Love him or hate him, he's one of the best and he deserves his WWE title.
Punk vs Taker stole the show, in the end they needed the 8 man tag to separate punk/taker and hhh/lesnar. Looking forward to seeing Cena's next move, but the only thing they really did wrong was ziggler. Not having him cash in and having him lose to the flying goat (lol) was a dumb move, he's lost all momentum and now his cashing in won't be nearly as exciting as it will if he did it on ADR at Mania, but ADR vs Ziggler will be a great feud. Something tells me swagger will face christian when he returns, and Cesaro will face sin cara like he was supposed to at Mania. Shield will go for the tag team titles and orton will feud with big show, then turn heel i reckon.
Overall, awesome mania. Again, except for Henry vs Ryback

Well said drake finally someone with some sense
Although part of me was hoping to see a massive swerve like the shield attacking the rock and then cena revealed as the mastermind behind them the whole time. But I knew it wouldn't happen. Cena is the #1 draw in wwe whether anyone likes it or not. He makes them a very very good chunk of revenue and turning him would blow that revenue up. There needs to be someone that could step into his place right away for that to happen and there really isn't anyone on the roster that can connect with the kids and adults the way he does at this moment.

I want to say solid show all around. There were some obvious botches, most seemed to be people over jacked and just over shooting targets. Punk v. Taker was the best match of the night hands down.
As far as Cena goes I have a few thoughts. A. He needs to heel turn, the character and he himself needs a refresh. However B. If Cena turns who is the face, there isnt one. Rock looked he might retire possibly/ Punk well bestwrestler but he is more of the Anti-Hero at the moment. People like him as a Heel and thus he is Punk. Tell me who can step in.. the answer nobody. Thus Cena remains, whether you like him or hate him, noone creates as much pure noise either boos or pop then Cena.
I would have loved Cena being behind the Shield, I still say it should have been the Rock and that swerev done at the Rumble... but thats my opinion.
Rock Cena was decent, but the end felt to choriographed... I think they should have done a bit more filler between finisher after finisher... the fake out was good.
As happy the 8 man mixed tag didnt happen, we needed something to bridge us as once punk take went on, energy just left and I didnt feel it kick back in really until Cena one and the Rock made his curtain call.
Happy to share other thoughts later if people want to hear them.

I don't kno why everyone wants a heel cena. When he debuted he was heel and IMO it was horrible. Cena probably will never go heel. 10 + years with the same thing and its still working. ...yea when he does retire he will still be the same guy. why chg what works? there is no reason to have him go heel
I am not really a cena fan but im not blind to the crowd reaction he gets.
I found cena rock not that exciting. liked the hhh/lesnar better
and I kno ppl like this fandango guy but im not impressed. the five minute entrance had me rolling my eyes and groaning. personally I think jericho shouldn't have been the one used to bring him over
again these are just my personal opinions. I didn't think this was the worst ppv event but it wasn't the best either

I agree a solid show withgood matches, Punk vs Taker taking the crown for me
And will say that although, likje everyone else said, the Fandango vs Jehrico, was a great match and Jehrico has to get praise for putting Fandango over. that win somehow stole the mania feeling of it all for me. I just cant wrap my head around why Fandango was so high up the card, at mania of all shows and in his "debut" match... maybe I'm just getting to old for this lol

Am I the only one disappointed of the entire show?
The Undertaker vs CM Punk match was the only highlight for me, I was 50-50 of the result but everything else in that match was spot on.
The other main match I was interested in was Brock vs HHH and of course that was ruined for me, Brock should have won to make him more of a threat towards the WWE title, it would have been the perfect way for HHH not to wrestle and just run the company, but no HHH had to win. They've brought him back on a multimillion dollar contract to only a few appearances each month at least make it mean something.
I can't believe the likes of Barrett, The Miz, Cesaro, Cody Rhodes, Sandow couldn't get on the show yet we had Mark Henry vs Ryback, come on two no neck big men is going to be a intermission break for the fans, simple.
I'm a huge Jericho fan and I can understand why he puts people over, but when he returned the first time he should have been pushed and not held back. I think he should have won the rumble.
Dolph Ziggler hasn't been booked right for months now, he had a few matches with John Cena on raw and one with a cage match, yet Super Cena still wins. The booking is completely messed up and don't know how to build stars.
I knew John Cena would win, it was obvious. It was just the same match as last years with a few different things, both The Rock and John Cena knew at the end when they were shaking hands that John Cena should have turned heel, it would have been the same reaction as when Hulk Hogan joined the nWo in the 80's. The crowd was dead for that match a few pops from the front row but that was it.
The rest of the show I didn't care for but feel kinda bad for Jack Swagger if only he didn't get that DUI a few months back and then he would be WHC. I hate Alberto Del Rio but like Ricardo Rodriguez.
Glad The Shield won their six-man match but I want Rollins and Ambrose in singles action now.

So why didn't he tell the people who had him involved in the first show back, that he was going home and that they'd have a few hours to re-write the entire opening script? He knew that he would be in the opening show, WWE had already advertised him for the raw and the writers had been discussing the feud with him and lesnar starting on tonight's raw. This is simply a big ego getting in the way of the writing and the Rock thinking of himself as bigger than the show.
