I did it. I took down the biggest thorn in my side so far. It wasn't easy, but it sure was fun. Well, as much fun as one can have when she let two people die.
Even if it is a person who would've killed me, I still would have saved him if I had time. I know when I didn't have powers I said that it sucked. But even with the powers I have now, I've still lost people. There's nothing worse than having power and still not being able to help. I could only stand and watch as people died around me. And then I had to go stop a crime, because evil doesn't sleep.
I beat Bloodhound and thought I would finally be rid of him once and for all, but sadly, I'm not. Once more I have to go into battle against him and beat him again. A little tag match revenge. It's kinda sad I'm not hearing those threats anymore. I think I may have just took the starch out of him. Oh well. His loss is my gain in more ways than one. So one more time I'm going to beat Bloodhound up, and get him out of my life for good.
But this tag match is weird. Sure Bloodhound a grade-A douche bag, but Taufik isn't. And my partner TJ Pain make a concentrated effort to be a douche bag. So I kinda feel like the teams are just...all wrong. Taufik seems like a decent human being, and generally a good guy. But then again, he did threaten me just like everyone else. You wanna threaten me Taufik...get in line. There's seemingly no difference between people in MPW these days minus height, weight, and gender. Everyone just goes around being an A-hole because they can. I've grown apathetic to it.
Then, there's TJ. Who, as I said, made a point to show everyone he's...a douche. Painfully clear. And somewhere down the road, He and I will face off for that Television title. But Thursday, we're partners. Cute. I figure we can handle this, since he beat Taufik and I beat Bloodhound. But...I can't just...assume that he's going to be cool about it. It's not going to be easy to keep my eyes in three directions, but it's what I have to do. [/i]
[ Roxi sits in her apartment, staring out the window, and not really paying attention to anything in particular. Vision is on the screen behind her, but she doesn't notice. ]
Vision Hey...
Roxi - ...
Vision I got some news about...the other night.
Roxi - I don't want to hear it.
Vision You may want to...
Roxi - No. Is there anything else going on? Crime maybe?
Vision We're clear for now.
Roxi - Too bad.
Vision I think you need to hear this news..
[ She turns towards the computer, eyes narrowed. ]
Roxi - I'll tell you what I need Vision, I need you to lay off and give me some useful information. I tell you what, just because you didn't have any reported crimes, doesn't mean there isn't any. I'm going out.
Vision Roxi ...I...
Roxi - No. I'm done listening to you Vision. Until you tell me where I can find the next two-bit punk, small time hood, or grotesque super-villain, I don't want to hear anything.
Vision ...I..
Roxi - I'm through.
[ With that, Roxi switches off the computer screen and goes to change. ]
The last thing I need is a reminder of my failures. I need someone to take out all this pent up aggression on. Something I can beat on...Or someone. Sadly I have to wait until Thursday to beat up people for money.
But right now, I'm not looking to do it for money. I'm going to hurt someone, just for fun.
[ Roxi swings across rooftops and walks around, almost in a deranged state desperately searching for...whatever it is she's searching for. Finally, she finds what...or rather who, she's looking for. ]
There you are.
[ From above she spots a young man in a dark alley, making a transaction with another man. A drug deal no doubt. Roxi wastes no time leaping into action. She lands a foot away from the user who is shocked. ]
User - What the?
[ She grabs the user and tosses him into the wall. She holds him up by his collar. ]
Roxi - Give it to me! Now!
User - What?
Roxi - This is not a good day to push me!
[ Like a flash, Roxi shoots a knee right into the poor guy's crotch. ]
User - *Cough* Okay, *Cough* I'm...I'm sorry.
Roxi - Go home, and if I ever see you around here again, I won't be so nice.
[ The user starts to limp away, when she elbows him in the ribs, before turning back to the dealer, who, frozen in fear, witnessed the attack. ]
Roxi - You!
Dealer - Oh my god.
[ He turns to run, but is quickly snared by Roxi's grappling hook. She begins dragging him around before picking him up. ]
Roxi - Drugs? Drugs? You're slinging in my city?
Dealer - I...I...
Roxi - Scum like you I can't tolerate.
Dealer - Please...please...I'll never...never do it again.
Roxi - I know.
[ She throws him back on the ground, then gets on top of him. ]
Dealer - What you....what do you...want?!
Roxi - I want...you're boss.
Dealer - What you....what do you...want?!
Roxi - I want...you're boss.
Dealer - I...I can't! He'll kill me! I'd rather go to jail...
Roxi - Who says you're going to jail?
Dealer - What?
[ Roxi then grabs the dealer's arm and snaps his arm above the elbow. He screams in pain. ]
Dealer - AGHHHH!
Roxi - That...was your humerus. You see, there are 206 bones in the human body. That's one. You've only got 205 more, and I have plenty of time.
Dealer - Please....
Roxi - The NAME! Or...we move on to the femur, or the clavicle.
Dealer - I can't.
Roxi - Fine by me.
[ Roxi slowly grabs the dealers leg, and begins applying pressure ]
Roxi - Your patella. I heard knee pain is just the worst.
Dealer - Okay! Okay! I get my stuff from a guy named John Paul He's running the show.
Roxi - Where can I find him?
Dealer - I don't know.
Roxi - Really? Because if have to move on to your coccyx...
[ His eyes widen in terror. ]
Dealer - 48th and Grand....I swear it's all I know.
Roxi - Are you sure?
Dealer - (Flatly) ... I wet the bed til I was 15....
[ She arches a brow under the mask, before elbowing him in the face. knocking him out. She quickly leaves the scene. ]
It didn't really mean much, the name...Jean Paul. I didn't really care. His name could have been Mike for all I care. Names and faces just blend together nowadays anyway.
I will admit that it felt good to just...hurt that guy. No doubt he'll recover physically, but it'll serve as a constant reminder of how I operate. And what will happen if he continues. Maybe I was too hard on him, maybe I went just a bit too far.
Or maybe, it's exactly what I needed to do.
Maybe it's what I need to do to Taufik and Bloodhound, to get the job done. Taufik says he's going to treat me like a man, so I say that's fine, I'll treat him like one too, if it means breaking a bone here or there, to prove I'm deserving of a television title match, then so be it.
It's time that I make up for my mistakes.
[ Arriving at 48th and Grand, finding only a few run-down buildings, Roxi chooses and non-stealthy approach and kicks the door in. She searches and finds a group of men milling around, as if they were waiting for her. ]
Roxi - Let me guess, the one with the broken arm told you I was coming?
[ Some nods and devilish grins confirm her suspicion. ]
Roxi - Whatever. Let's get this over with.
[ And with that, the 6 men attack, and one by one, she cuts them down, a broken jaw here, a cracked femur there, soon, they're all writhing in pain on the ground. She quickly goes through a door where she finds who she's looking for. ]
Roxi - You must be Jean Paul.
[ The man smiles as he puffs on a cigar. ]
Jean Paul - Very good. There is something of a brain to go with that body.
[ Roxi makes a fist at her sides. ]
Jean Paul - You must be the one causing all the problems for me today.
Roxi - Do me a favor will you? Spare me the bad guy monologue. I've got two choices for you. One is you come quietly, and you go to jail. Second is I hurt you, then you go to jail, maybe. Please choose. Choose option 2.
Jean Paul - You think you can muscle in on my operation? I got a good thing going here, and I'll be damned if some big-titted bimbo is going to take it away from me.
Roxi - I'll take that as option 2.
[ Jean Paul screams as he picks up a broadsword laying nearby. He holds it in front of him, poking in her general direction. ]
Roxi - That's a big sword. A little compensation?
Jean Paul - Die bitch!
[ Jean Paul lunges over and over, swinging with everything he's got, but he can't really hit anything. Finally tiring of it, Roxi throws a surikin out of her belt and it sticks in his hand forcing him to drop the sword. She jumps on top of him and punches him once. ]
Roxi - You're through around here, but first, let me give you something to remember me by...
[ She leans over and looks as it she's about to kiss him, when she uses her arm, and drives an elbow into his clavicle. She gets up and leaves, but not before pulling a fire alarm, thus bringing the police. ]
That...felt good. Good to break some people. Crush them. Just like I plan to do Thursday and beyond. I am the number one contender to the TV title, and I plan on winning it. Now, it's no more ms. night-girl....
[ Roxi enters her apartment again, and turns on the computer screen after a few moments. ]
Vision - Feel better?
Roxi - A little.
Vision - Heard about what you did.
Roxi - So?
Vision - You don't have to hurt all those people.
Roxi - Those people are murderers, rapists, drug dealers. They're scum. And playing it safe isn't my style anymore.
Vision - Because of your new powers?
Roxi - ... Y...yes.
Vision - Really?
Roxi - Yes. Now, anything new going on I should know about?
Vision - Only if you'll actually listen this time.
Roxi - I don't want to talk about that.

Roxi - Why?

Roxi - If nothing else, ..... I'll have some closure.
