I was bored, bored of doing the same thing every week. Bored of coming down to the ring for months on end and have nothing change. Something needed to give, it was either me or my career and it looked like my career was. I was on the verge of retirement after weeks upon weeks of losing, getting the shit beaten out of me and so on. Every week cheering for the fans got me nearly killed. I was sick to death of being a puppet for people to pull my strings, dictating my moves. But now I'm free of those shackles and I can do as I please because no longer have to do everything they say. Now it's all about me.
I thought my career was over until an old friend, Drake Hunter came to me and said something which had motivated me, he told me of how much better I could be, how I could start winning gold if I followed him in a chance to wipe away everyone else and only worry about ourselves, and so the Age of Arrogance began and with that the demise of Millennium Pro Wrestling, and the beginning of Millennium PUNK Wrestling!
I walk out of my new Boston Massachusetts apartment into one of the most vibrant cities in the world. I moved here because it represented something that was happening, things are changing, changing into a new direction with some old things still standing but the majoirty is and already has changed. Boston is like MPW because now MPW has changed with a new era beginning and the start of something that will consume the whole wrestling world as the Age of Arrogance becomes stronger and stronger.
I was arranged to be in the main event of a local show in Boston where at the news Chris Cable would be showing the show was sold out which i wasn't surprised at because who wouldn't want to see the guy that with the Punk will change MPDub forever!
=============Later that night==========
I walk with a new spring in my step as I park in the hall's staff carpark where looking back seeing my Aston Martin among cheap ass volkswagons and toyotas make me laugh of how much better I was then all these wannabes. There might be a question why I turned up tonight and it was all because I needed to come here to tell people of the Age of Arrogance and begin the movement where else except my new hometown.
I get to the door to a bald headed guy who looked familiar. I couldn't remember who he was but he looked angry as he walked towards me.
Man: Yo Cable where have you been dude? The show starts in 10 and you up first.
I realise while he talks he is Bryan Johnson who is in charge of Boston Wrestling Association or BWA, I only had a second to think before I heard the words "You're up first" which shook me to the core.
CableL What? I'm first? You told me I was in the main event, I mean that's why I am here right? To be the star attraction tonight.
Johnson: Well Cable after you're actions recently and the attitude you have shown, in the way you contacted us over the last couple of weeks and showing up here an hour late is why instead of putting you in the main event we thought why not let the crowd wait and put you first.
Bryan had an annoying smirk on his face which nearly made me elbow him right in that shiny bald head but I realised that I had better things to worry about.
Cable: The attitude I've shown recently? I haven't changed one bit, all I did was stop thinking about everyone else and only care about what I think because of people like you, who I spent an entire year pandering to for only a couple of bucks.
Bryan looks like he is getting a little mad before he realises the time
Johnson: Well because of our little talk Chris you are due out there now, so unless you want to wrestle in your street clothes I suggest you hurry up and change your gear.
I back off before looking back at Johnson and laughing
Cable; Don't worry I don't need them.
I drop my bag on the ground and don't look back as I walk down the corridor to the stage where the announcer has introduced my opponent where ironically just as I get ready to go out he is about to call my name.
I hear my name as I go through the curtain to my new music "I Will Not Bow" By Breaking Benjamin hits and I walk down the stage ramp on showing much emotion, just taking in the boos which fill the 1500 people in attendance. I walk down to the even bigger chorus of boos to the realisation that I had a leather jacket, jeans and a Rolling Stones T-Shirt on as I walk to the announcer where I grab the mic from him
I wait for the crowd to get a little quieter before looking at the wrestler in the ring who looked obviously pissed off that I wasn't dressed to wrestle.
Cable: Oh shut up all of you! I am sick to death in only a short couple of days I have got more abuse than in my whole career. I apparently "turned my back" on you people and "betrayed MPW, joined the darkside" which is all bullshit! I haven't changed one bit, all i did was stop listening to you people and starting doing things by myself! You people, every single one of you told me what to do, how I should act. I was a goat to all you and now I don't want to! I have spent the last year going around pandering to you, high fiving, signing autographs but where did it get me? I had my brother and mother in hospital, I was beaten up nearly every week and guess how many times I won a title? I won NONE!
The crowd start jeering as they chant "You suck!"
Cable: Ask your mum, I don't suck, i blow!
The fans go crazy as I laugh at the boos.
Cable: See all you people are the ones that turned your back on me. Like I said before I won no titles, me a guy that is a 3 time world champion and an 11 time! 11 time! Tag Team Champion! Did you losers hear that 11 TIME! I did everything for you people and got nothing back and that's for all you no for good nothing people who think that C Double has changed!
Cable: And now I get here tonight where I here that Chris Cable isn't in the main event for tonight but first on the show against someone who i've never seen before! I came here tonight for a challenge, to help show you all why not caring for anyone else but yourself gets you places, that one of the biggest misconceptions in Pro Wrestling and that is we wrestlers care about you! Everyone that does fails, everyone who doesn't has success in the world, that ladies and gents is why I am going to help Drake Hunter reclaim the world championship, for myself to win titles and tear this company apart in the meantime i am not going to waste my time here anymore.
AND THAT IS GOSPEL ACCORDING TO CHRIS CABLE!!!
My music hits as I leave the ring.
Nothing satisfies me more than an elbow strike which cleans up and opponent. Breaking peoples jaws bring a sort of calm to my head when I get fired up and that's exactly what I did there. No one can avoid the Age of Arrogance and my elbow which will along with some sweet dreams destory MPW and bring a new age of pro wrestling.
