[Jordan Storm wasn't usually this nervous about a match. Usually, Jordan would be cool, calm and collected and would go about his usual routine and go on the thinking that "it was a just another match" But this match, the match Jordan would be having in a few days was, by far, the biggest match of his short career in MPW. Never in Jordan's wildest dreams could he have imagined that just a month into his career, he'd be competing for the X-Core Championship. It hadn't been that long since Jordan had held some gold around his waist, but the championships he'd held had been in minor companies, companies that very little people had heard of.
However, there was one big title that Jordan was currently in possession of. Jordan opens the large travel bag on the bed behind him and pulls out a championship belt, with the Australian flag in the middle. On it are written the words "Australian Wrestling Association World Heavyweight Champion" Below this flag, Jordan's name was inscribed. Storm had to smile. He carried this title everywhere he went, as a reminder of where he'd come from and where he'd started. It was also motivation for him, motivation to push as hard as he could and fight with everything he had. This championship had a huge story behind t. It was a story Jordan felt every MPW fan should know]

["Living in a Dream" by Finger Eleven blasts through the loudspeakers. The crowd goes wild as Jordan bursts through the curtain. Yellow fireworks go off as Jordan stands atop the entrance ramp, with the AWA World Heavyweight Title tightly secured to his waist. Storm high-fives a few fans, before rolling into the ring, mic in hand]
Storm: I'm sure you're all wondering just what this title is. This title is the now-defunct Australian Wrestling Association World Heavyweight Championship. Why do I have it? No, it's not because I bought it off Ebay. No, it's not because the Australian Wrestling Association is now dead.
"The truth is the Australian Wrestling Association is still alive and kicking. In fact, it was the wrestling company where I was given my first start. It's the company that trained me to become a professional wrestler. It is also the company where I've had the most success"
"You see, I was in the AWA for 3 years, the last two of which I was their World Heavyweight Champion. That's right, I held this title for two years straight. I beat everybody that company threw at me. Everyone guy that came in and demanded a title shot, I granted them their wish and I kicked their ass. I was the most dominant champion in Australian wrestling history. I brought people back to professional wrestling. No-one gave a crap about wrestling before I came into that company. Am I saying I was the sole reason for that company's success? No, but you can't ignore the facts and the fact is since I became their champion, attendance grew drastically"
"After my third year with the company, I was told by the bastard of an owner, Shaun Swan, that I needed to lose my championship to people who, in my opinion, didn't half a quarter of the skill I had. He wanted someone fresh and wanted to create a new star. But, the fans of the company were still 100% behind me. I wasn't dropping that title to someone who didn't deserve it. So, I left and took the title with me"
"Now, I may seem like a jackass for doing it, but in the last 3 months of my time there, people backstage were talking about screwing me over and forcing me to lose the title. I wasn't standing for that, so I took their title away from them. I haven't had any communication with anyone from the AWA since I left, but I've heard through family and friends that the company has gone downhill"
"Why do I bring this up? Well, because according to some people, I'm just a young punk in this industry. In particular, Ash Soulsfate, who reckons I've just been around five minutes. Newsflash for you, pal, I'm the guy who's held a championship for 730 straight days. Even when people were trying to screw me, I kept fighting. When the challenge seemed too much, I kept fighting. Now that I'm in MPW, I'll keep fighting like I have in the past. I'm willing to do anything to gain a championship. X-Core Rules don't scare me. You don't scare me."
"This isn't about being the best, because I know I'm not. This is about the X-Core Championship. This is about this so-called "young punk" making a name for himself in one of the biggest wrestling companies in the world. I told you last week, I'm ready to step up. I'm ready to fight with everything I've got. I hope you ready for a big fight, my friend, because with me, that's exactly what you'll get from me, your Australian Wrestling Association World Heavyweight Champion"
[Storm unstraps his title belt and holds it high, as the crowd explodes with cheers]
