"Vincere qui ibunt invictum."
Latin for: Conquer those who go unconquered.
"My family is Native American. We hail as Cherokees from the south of this nation. My ancestors were moved west due to the “Trail Of Tears” expedition in 1838. My people were forced to move out of their home land to somewhere they weren't supposed to be. Growing up in the South, my grandfathers and grandmothers would study to become smarter than the “white man”. To know the language from which they speak. But the trails of the language. They learned Latin as a tool to communicate with the English. To fight back. They were always warriors. Then, generations past, my great, great, great grandfather came up with the saying in Latin in 1897 and told my great, great grandfather in 1898, who told my great grandfather in 1956 who told my grandfather in 1975 who told my father in 1980 and then my father told me in 2000, at the turn of the century. I will tell my kids, who will tell theirs and so on. This quote is what the Nytrus kids live off of. We thrive off of this saying and push it to the limit. The “unconquered” is the MPW. The conqueror is yet to be found.. If you want to be someone and you wanna get somewhere in this business, look at me, do what I do. People are too dumb to realize what they could be. They have power and strength and brawn. But brains will always win over brawn any day. And it doesn't help when the brains, has the brawn as well."[/color]
The words from Brandon Nytrus who had recently had a backstage interview with Jay Wyatt after TNT last week. The speech he made about his family's past, distinctively ties into his upcoming match at this week's TNT. With his favorite holiday being coming up... He's more than happy to address his opponent...
-------------------------------------------
The scene fades up on Brandon Nytrus' feet, and panning all the way up to his face. He's in a graveyard. There's fog hovering in the background and at his feet. There's an eary feel. There's a semi-full moon in the sky. There's no one else around. There are grave stones all around him.
Brandon: Death.
There's a pause.
Brandon: Death is the symbol of the end. There is nothing more traumatic than death. It is the most horrifying and awful thing that could happen to any mortal being on the planet. But, death is also so interesting. What is death? Where do you go when you leave your place on Earth? People die everyday and we have no idea where they go. Religion is something that comes into mind when talking about this subject. The Christians believe you go to Heaven or Hell for your actions in your mortal life. The Buddhists think that you become reincarnated until you reach the all holy, Nirvana. Muslims believe Allah will be there in heaven, awaiting your arrival, if you decide to be good in your life. Death is the most interesting topic to discuss, in my opinion. Listening to the beliefs and the concepts people can come up with to rationalize this irrational subject bewilders me. There is but one way to find out where you go when you pass on. And that is to experience death yourself.
Now, death doesn't have to mean the death of a being. Death can also mean the end of a period. The end of anything, really. And Primal? This Thursday, on TNT... It will be the death of your chances at ever becoming a champion here. You see, the concept of death depicts the end of all things. Never turning back. Which is what I intend on doing to you on Thursday. Killing your hopes and dreams of hoisting any sort of championship above your head. I am the apex of MPW. I am the "top dog" and I am the "New Era". Trey Baxter got lucky when he defeated me in the first match of this New Era. But, you my friend, aren't going to be so lucky. When that bell rings and the fans in the arena settle in their seats, it begins. The changing of the winds begins. And I am at the reigns. I will defeat you so badly that you will have no choice but to bow before me. You said you want to unlock me from the chains and show me the new light? Primal, I don't think you quite understand who and what I am. I am the light. I am the thing that makes people understand what their right in the world is. If you are lucky enough to defeat me, then you know you have made it somewhere. But if you have the unfortunate epiphany that you cannot and will not ever defeat me... Then you know, you will never be championship material.
My names are not something I hide behind. "The Duke of Extreme", "The Hardcore Icon"... They are the motivation I use to keep myself moving. To continue the path of destruction I have begun. With Blood Runs Cold behind me, that path will only become longer and longer. And it starts with you. I know you're scared. I know you're terrified at the thought that Terrin, Bliss, Nikki and Justin could come down at any moment and tear you limb from limb, leaving you nothing but dirt and trash you could find on the sidewalk of the Las Vegas Strip... You should be. That's what Halloween is about, right? Being frightened... That's why it's my favorite holiday. I look into peoples' eyes and see the terror deep, deep inside them. For me, Halloween could be everyday. For me, nothing will suffice for me only to see you cower like the little child you think I am, but that you really are. Be prepared, my friend. This fright will only become worse. You will find that not only will you suffer on Thursday, but you will lie in agony on that floor and wonder why you put yourself in the position you did.
You will never see or feel a force that is about to hit you, until you meet me.
The camera pans out and looks at Brandon who begins to laugh. He puts his hood up. And looks back at the camera.
Brandon: Vincere qui ibunt invictum. Vincere qui ibunt invictum... Once more for emphasis Ah, just rolls off the tongue... Don't it?
He chuckles and walks out of frame. The scene waits an additional three or four seconds to capture the eary aroma and sight of the dark, unforgiving graveyard. Seeing the dead leaves on the ground, rustling from the wind coming from the east across the grave stones and where the once-loved ones lie for the rest on eternity. The dead tree that sits next to where Brandon had been standing before.
Death, agony, suffering. Vincere qui ibunt invictum... Just rolls off the tongue, don't it?
