{ This was to be my 2nd roleplay, but it was agreed that we'd only do one. So this is just story stuff, so there's no continuity errors. }
[ Picking up right where he left off, Roxi continues to stare at the Adrenaline needle in her chest. She pulls it out in one motion and starts to stand up. ]
Hooded Man - It brings us joy that you are awake.
Roxi - Me too. I thought he was going to kill me.
Hooded Man - What do you mean?
Roxi - ....
You know, at this point, I don't even know anymore. [/I]
Roxi - ...Nevermind.
Hooded Man - Yes, well...Ah, here is the master.
[ A shorter, older man, in grand looking Robes appears. ]
Master- Ah, you are awake.
Roxi- Yes.
Master- When we found you, we feared that
your wounds may have been too great.
Roxi- I'll be fine.
Master- You went into shock. You lost a heartbeat.
Roxi- I'll live.
Master- I see. I can sense you have many questions.
Roxi- Who...
Master- We are all students who work, study, live, and pray here.
Roxi- Where is here?
Master- This is our temple.
Roxi- How..?
Master- Our students found you, apparently sleeping in a dumpster. But you were groaning and appeared to be injured. So they brought you here.
Roxi- Well, I... appreciate the help and all, but I've really got to be going.
Master- I don't think that is such a good idea.
Roxi- What? Why?
Master- Because you are injured.
Roxi- I'm fine.
Master- You were injured. Did you fall from the
sky or something?
Roxi- Something like that.
Master- You need rest, child.
Roxi- I don't have time for that. I have
much to do.
Master- I'm afraid I cannot allow that
Roxi- Excuse me?
[ From the shadows, four of The Master's men grabs Roxi's arm
while she's distracted and hold her in place. ]
Master- I hoped you would choose to stay of
your own free will. But I see that must be broken.
Roxi- What the hell?!
[ Another student sneaks up behind her and jams a syringe into her neck. ]
Master- Now, get some rest.
Roxi- No...no...no...
Roxi- *Inhales*
[ Roxi looks around confused again, looking at her surroundings, she has no idea where she is now. She struggles to get up. ]
Clint- Wake up, sleepyhead.
[ She instantly recognizes the voice, and sits up. ]
Roxi- ...Clint.
Clint- Correct again.
[ Clint pulls a chair around backwards and sits down in of the
soft white bed that Roxi is laying in. ]
Roxi- STAY AWAY FROM ME!
Clint- ...Heh. Welcome back to your dream.
Roxi- THIS ISN'T MY DREAM!
Clint- It is now.
Roxi- If you come near me....
Clint- You'll do what? You can't hurt me
here. But when I kill you in here...you'll die.
Roxi- ...
[ He stands and begins walking towards her, as she readies herself. ]
Clint- But, I know I tried to kill you last time, and you got saved. But I think we got off on the wrong foot and -
Roxi- Hiya!
[ She kicks him hard in the crotch. But, to her shock, it has no effect. ]
Clint- Ouch. Like I was saying we got off on the wrong foot. I think we can actually help each other.
Roxi- I don't want anything from you. Get out of my mind!
Clint- I don't want to be in your mind. I'd
like to be in your pants.
Roxi- Go to hell.
Clint- Been there already. Kinda nice this time of year. But seriously, think about it. I help you, you help me.
Roxi- I don’t want your help.
Clint- I think you do.
Roxi- I don’t. I don’t want or need anything from you.
Clint- No?
Roxi- NO!
Clint- Well, let’s look at it this way, you can either help me, or you can join this little cult that’s got you right now.
Roxi- Shut up!
Clint- You know, I’m being really nice here. Patient. After all, you killed me.
Roxi- I…I didn’t kill you.
Clint- Yes. Yes you did. It’s why I’m here now. But I am willing to forgive all that. All you have to do, is help me.
Roxi- Never.
Clint- Alright then, Have fun being a mindless, drooling slave the rest of your life. And when you fall asleep, I’ll still be here, ready to torture you.
Roxi- …
Clint- Yeah. Oh, you can try to stay awake for a week again, but you will fall asleep and I’ll be here…waiting.
Roxi- There’s got to be…
Clint- A way out? You’re sedated sweet thing. You’re going to be out for a while.
Roxi- You mean I’m stuck here?
Clint- Oh yeah. Plenty of time for you to reconsider.
Roxi- I’m not helping you.
Clint- I can get you out of here right now if you want.
Roxi- What?
Clint- Yeah. I can. You just to have agree to help.
Roxi- …
Clint- Or not.
Roxi- …What do you need me to do?
Clint- (In a Godfather voice)Someday, I will call on you to perform a service for me. What you must do, I will tell you when the time comes. Until then, I will help you.
Roxi- I would like to make a request.
Clint- What’s that?
Roxi- That until you need me, until that day comes…you leave me alone.
Clint- And you will do this favor for me, without question?
Roxi- …Y..Yes. I will.
Clint- Very good. Then I will leave you until then. Now let’s get you out of here.
Roxi- *Cough* What…what?
Clint- I’m choking you. They’ll see you choking and wake you up. Then it’s up to you…
Roxi- *gag* c-c-c
Clint- You’ll thank me later.
Roxi- *INHALES*
[ She wakes up, back in the temple. She quickly spots a window, and crawls out, before running away. ]
SOME TIME LATER…
[ Roxi stands in her apartment, looking out her window again. ]
Roxi- What a nightmare.
[ Vision appears on the computer behind her. ]
Vision- Hey…
Roxi- Hey…
Vision- Look, I uh…need to talk to you.
Roxi- If it’s about the sleep thing, I know. I know you were just worried.
Vision- Well..
Roxi- If it makes you feel better, I got some sleep. More than I wanted that’s for sure.
Vision- It’s not about the sleep.
Roxi- I was kind of rude to you…
Vision- It’s not about that either.
Roxi- Well, what else did I do?
Vision- Roxi, I had no choice but to report all this to the Guild.
Roxi- …
Vision- I’m sorry. But I think it’s for your own good.
