Finally the day has come, tonight I once again step through those ropes and into the ring where it all happens.
I feel excited and in a good mood, my higher power has brought me here and with a purpose, I am gonna teach every single one of these attention craving, spotlight hungering kids the error of their ways....
As I walk through the corridors of the arena, I am remembered of how it use to be when I tagged with David, he would be so over energetic every time we entered a place like this, talking about all the spots he was gonna do.
Slowly a melancholic shadow drifts over my thoughts, the memory of the days with David are good, but clouded with the regret of not being able to help him when he got injured.
I keep walking down the corridor, passing Real Steele on the way, exchanging a few pleasantries. I trained with these guys, they know me from before and while the sickness had its vile hands clinched tightly around my neck, but that's over now, I'm a free man and with new purpose, as Dynamo Crunch will learn tonight
The shot opens with Tasha Jordan standing in the locker room, behind her Jimmy Fatal has just put down his back and is taking out his ring gear
Tasha: Hello everybody and welcome to the US Airways Center, where Thursday Night Takedown will go on the air later today, I am Tasha Jordan standing here in the locker room to try to get some comments from the wrestlers on tonight's show, and I see the first has already arrived, its the re debuting Jimmy Fatal, who tonight will face off against Dynamo Crunch... Jimmy do you have a second to share your thoughts on your match tonight?
He looks up from his gym bag, he hates interviews, but today is a different story, cause he has a lot he wants of his chest
Jimmy: Well certainly Tasha
Slowly he rights himself up and comes closer to the camera asking for the microphone
Jimmy: Tonight has tremendous value to me as it marks a rebirth of me as a wrestler, as it has come to almost every ones attention, except my opponent tonight apparently, I've been fighting with my personal demons and finally conquered them through the help of A.A and my higher power, so when I came to MPW I was sober and clear minded. Sadly I hadn't found my purpose for being here, I thought it was to help my tag team gain fame, but now through looking at guys like Dynamo I found my reason to step in the ring again.
He takes a second to think before continuing
Jimmy: You see Crunch all you see in this business is the glamor and spotlight, you haven't noticed the underbelly of the beast, you haven't been side lined with injury, haven't been forced to eat dozens of pills just to be able to stand or fallen for the many other vices.
You still live in a rosy world thinking that moves, holds and attacks win the game, but let me enlighten you, strategy and ruthlessness is how the game is played. I heard what you had to say to me and all I could think or rather envision is you coming running on your chubby little legs with a Monopoly board clinched between your hands on your way to play a game of chess.
You compare me to Stone Cold Steve Austin, which in itself I can't take any offense to, but you choose to take the one trade which I haven't in common with this man and point it out, try looking up the terms sobriety, recovering alcoholic or A.A... also called Alcoholics Anonymous, and you would know I would not sit back with a Budweiser, which I wouldn't do even if I drank alcohol,m I like beer not beer colored water.
He chuckles a little at the remark noticing Tasha doesn't and puts his game face back on
Jimmy: Crunch you hear the words higher power and jump to the conclusion that I talk about physical strength, but my higher power lies beyond your reach as it is a spiritual power guiding me through life and it is all to apparent that brain power isn't your strong suit, so let me try to explain it in simple words. My higher power is GOD, that is what the praying is about, you should try it sometime.
Now tonight I am gonna teach you a lesson about respect, you cry and moan that I don't respect you, meanwhile you show no respect to others. Jared Reynolds, a jobber as you so often put it, who gets paid to make you look good and let you win, you time and time again claim you dominated and that he wasn't worth anything and so. How can you disrespect a man who makes you look good in the ring?
So Dynamo when we step into that ring tonight, I won't show you any mercy, I'll cut you down like a tree bit by bit and then when you are about to fall deliver that Fatal Blow that will take you down. Cause while you were running around learning new moves and holds, I spent my time training my body, mind and spirit to prepare for the task at hand.
He hands the microphone back to Tasha and turns back to his gym bag
Tasha: You heard it people this match should be an exciting one to watch as two very different individuals clash in the....
Fatal comes up from behind with a pack of Capt'n Crunch
Jimmy: Do you know how bad these are for you? I mean so much sugar are you trying to kill the people you hand them to or what?
He walks off as the shot focuses on the confused Tasha who looks after him before it fades to black
Again Jimmy is walking through the corridors of the US Airway Center, he feels on edge and is pumped after the interview, he head into the arena, where different technicians are working on the ring. Being brought up in the business the way he is he goes down and lends a hand, he loves doing these things although most owners do not encourage it due to the chance of him getting heard, but this helps him focus.
After they are finished he walks backstage again, looking for a place where he can sit a little secluded and read in the book. Finally he finds himself a corner and sits down, opening the blue book and starts reading "The Story Of Bill" he knows it by heart but finds some kind of reassurance in it, reassurance that he is on the right path, and as he finishes he silently starts resiting the serenity prayer.
God
Grant me the Serenity,
to accept the things I cannot change,
The Courage,
To change the things I can
and Wisdom
to know the difference
As he finishes he takes up his 24hours Medallion and stares at it meditating on the words of the prayer he just said and which is inscribed on the back side of the medallion
He smiles as he slowly fills with joy and slightly doses off into his own world
