As always I enjoyed your writing it keeps getting better and better. I especially like how you work in the time of year, with the cold air and references to home, witout falling into, what I would call the christmas trap.
if I had to give just a slight critique of something it would be the fan reference, thought it broke a little with the character, but thats maybe just me over thinking stuff
but as always great work
