[The scene opens up to the MPW arena where TNT is set to take place in less than 24 hours. We are inside Trey Baxter's locker room where we see Trey sitting and watching Drake Hunter's most recent promo. All of a sudden there is a knock on the door as the promo is coming to an end. Trey turns the TV off as he gets up and walks over to the door and pulls it open.]
Trey Baxter: About time Ash. How long does it take to...
[As he opens the door he see's Tasha Jordan standing there with a camera crew.]
Trey Baxter: Oh Tasha...I thought it was Ash.
Tasha Jordan: Hey Trey. How are you?
Trey Baxter: I'm great Tasha. Just like I always am. A camera crew huh? I'm guessing you're either here to shoot a porno or to interview me.
Jordan: Don't be a dick...
Baxter: Hey don't act like we haven't basically done both of those.
[She blushes for a moment as he gives her a little smile.]
Jordan: Well I was actually hoping to get an interview with you. Nobody has been able to get one with you since you lost the title.
Baxter: I think people seem to think that I'm hurting because I lost the title to Johnny Clash at Uncivil War. But the truth is: I'm not. If anything Johnny is the one who hasn't even competed since our match. I think it's safe to say he's still feeling the ill effects of a match with the greatest wrestler in the world. And yes, Tasha, I am the STILL the best damn wrestler in the world and I don't need a title to prove that. Even though it is MY title, and there is no doubt in my mind that as soon as I can it will be mine again. No matter who I have to beat.
Jordan: How about the fact that you can't compete for the title for the next 3 months?
Baxter: It doesn't surprise me really. The only thing that surprised me was that Johnny was smart enough to pull it off. It was a really smart move by him. It means his chances of holding on to that title are a lot more likely than they would have been if I would have been getting my rematch whenever I wanted. But I've got a plan. A plan to get that title out of his hands.
Jordan: Ash Soulsfate?
Baxter: That could be the plan. He's definitely 10 times the wrestler that Johnny Clash will ever be.
Jordan: Is that why you two have joined forces?
Baxter: That's part of it. I think it's obvious that when we're in the ring as a team there isn't a damn team on this planet that can even compete with us. The way I see it is we will keep knocking down tag team after tag team until we finally get a shot at the tag team titles, which we deserve more than anyone else in this company.
Jordan: So that's the goal? The tag titles?
Baxter: The goal is to be the best. Apart we are the two best wrestlers in Millenium Pro Wrestling. Together we are the best team wrestling has ever seen. We are talking about a team that consists of the two best wrestlers in their prime. As far as I'm concerned there are only two wrestlers in Millenium Pro Wrestling that deserve to be the MPW World Heavyweight Champion and that's Ash and myself. We are the best of the best. And since I can't compete for the World Title at the moment I will compete for the Tag Team Titles and Ash and myself will become the greatest tag team in the history of wrestling. And at the same time Ash will go on to win the World Title, whether it's by getting a shot he deserves, or by winning the Army of One match and then going on to win the title. Our dominance will be felt shortly and we will be loved and feared at the same time.
Jordan: So does this all star tag team of yours have a name?
Baxter: That's a work in progress Tasha. As of now you can just call us the best. If anyone is ever talking about the best they have to be talking about us after all.
Jordan: Good to see you're still as cocky as ever Trey.
Baxter: You call it cocky I call it self confidence. And quite frankly the truth. I've more than proven my worth in this company. I'm the god damn face of this company. I'm what the fans pay to see. I'm the one headlining every single show no matter what. I'm the one who puts it on the line every single week and almost always comes out victorious. Unlike Johnny Clash who can't even lace up the boots but once or twice a fucking month.
Jordan: I'm assuming things between yourself and Johnny Clash aren't over?
Baxter: Not even close. Him and that goon Andre Dixon.
Jordan: That was actually my next question. Do you know why Andre Dixon has been attacking you recently?
Baxter: Because he's a fucking puppet. Johnny says jump and he asks how fucking high. I'm not even sure if that guy has a brain or can even speak for that matter. Has anyone ever heard the guy speak? I'm pretty sure I've only heard him grunt. He's obviously not that intelligent if he thinks he can attack me and get away with it. There's only so many times that you can attack somebody from behind. There's only so many times that he's going to be able to catch be off guard like he has been. It won't be long till I get my hands on him and then things are going to be a whole lot different than the last couple of weeks.
Jordan: Last week Ash and you were able to defeat the current tag team champions relatively easily. Was that a statement?
Baxter: It was. We wanted to go out there and show everyone that we are the best tag team in the MPW and that we can and will beat everyone that's put in front of us and that includes the current tag team champions. We made it quite clear that they aren't on our level and that it's only a matter of time until those tag titles are ours. We are about to take the tag team division to an entirely new level and we are willing to take on anyone and everyone who wants a shot at the best. First was Ian and Taufik. Next up: Age of Arrogance.
Jordan: Which was actually my next question. Ash and you will be competing in the main event at TNT again this week and this time against a team who claims tehy are the best tag team in the MPW in Age of Arrogance. What do you think of the matchup?
Baxter: Honestly I think it's a mismatch. A huge one. But at the same time every single match Ash and I have will be a huge mismatch. We are just that good. I'm glad this matchup is happening this week because we want to beat every single team in the company. After Thursday we can mark off Age of Arrogance and move on to bigger and better things.
Jordan: You have a small past with Drake Hunter. Have you guys resolved your problems?
Baxter: By a small past you mean I beat his ass a few weeks ago, right? My only problem with Drake Hunter is he thinks he's better than he is. He keeps coming out here with that whole Millenium Punk Wrestling and thinks that people are going to take him seriously. But the fact is the guy hasn't done shit since being here. If we were going to name this company after somebody there are at least 5 people that come to mind before he does. Him and Cable have a sort of arrogance that hasn't even been earned. They think they're god's gift to the MPW when, like I previously said, they haven't done a damn thing to back that up.
Jordan: Would beating Ash and you be good enough?
Baxter: Of course it was. If anyone is able to beat Ash and myself then that will be one hell of an achievement. The thing is...nobody will. I personally can't wait to prove it either. I can't wait to show everyone that Age of Arrogance doesn't hold a candle to Ash and myself. This is a new era of Millenium Pro Wrestling. The AshTrey era...
[All of a sudden his phone begins to ring. He ignores the call.]
Baxter: Sorry about that. Where were we...
[All of a sudden his phone beeps letting him know he has a voicemail. He listens to the voicemail and after a few moments his face turns from happy to what looks like concerned. He hangs up the phone and puts it in his pocket.]
Baxter: Sorry Tasha. I've got something I've got to take care of.
Jordan: Everything OK?
[Trey doesn't even respond as he walks off and the scene fades to black.]
