(The scene opens with Jason Xavier looking deep into the camera lens, a MPW banner draped behind him hanging on the wall.)
Jason X: It‘s that time of the year again, isn‘t it? Everyone is excited, fresh off Christmas and running through their New Year’s. Together with friends and family, society is excited to put 2012 behind them and prepare for a bigger and better 2013. It‘s the same shit every year, isn‘t it? Everyone says they are going to do things differently once the calendar starts anew, but it‘s always the same. They build hope on broken dreams and promises, lying to themselves time and time again; whores say they‘re going to find a better job.. Drunk assholes say they‘re going to stop beating their wives and kids... cutters promise they’ll stop slicing themselves... the list goes on and on and while everyone prepares to succeed, they all come together as one at the end of the year: a group of fucking failures. It‘s depressing at first, but as Christmas arrives, they begin focusing on the next year -- and of course, the cycle keeps repeating itself.
The reason for this is society is built on mediocrity. People are willing to settle, they choose the easy path because... well, it‘s easy, and it‘s because of this that they are habitual failures. I don‘t allow myself to fall into this pathetic group. I don‘t align myself with others to celebrate the holidays. I don‘t make life altering decisions simply because it‘s January. It’s one of the many reasons society disgusts me. But contrary to how it may seem, I try to look at these sorts of things in a positive light. Let’s look at Jake Cage for example...
(Jason smirks before continuing)
Jason X: Jake Cage is the perfect example of a circle repeating himself because the last time I faced off with Jake Cage it was for the number one contender for the MPW Television championship. And as everyone knows that is MY right at Army of One. But Jake Cage since then has been oblivious to the world. For the better. His absence has been for the better because we don’t need to watch the pathetic that he carries around with him. He hopes and dreams of being someone but yet, he fails every time. Just like society. He truly is the perfect example of what society is. I’m hoping his absence is permanent but that would be dreaming sooner or later he will show up with a new fresh way of thinking he can succeed .But I’m above it all. I am different than him in every way possible. First thing first is at Army of One I get my shot at Roxi Johnson for the Television championship. Then 2013 will be better for everyone and it will raise my stock here in MPW. Jake Cage keeps dreaming of being successful but yet this week on Takedown I will crush your dreams. I will show everyone why I am the future Television champion.
(Jason looks past the camera for a second before speaking)
Jason X: 2013 is going to be my year, my year when everyone will take notice. Jake Cage is the first of many in 2013 that will lose to me. Jake I hope you do arrive for the first show of the year but I’m not holding out for your arrival. I bet you don’t even show up but never the less I’m here. I’m ready and waiting to kick 2013 with a good start and to kick off the month of January leading into Army of One with as many victories I can have under my belt. Jake Cage I am ready. I’m ready to kick you’re damn head in and have you under my boot.
(Jason looks deep into the camera)
Jason X: 2013 is going to be a big year for MPW, but not for you. You Jake Cage will be like how society is, you will settle for anything. You will fail when it comes down to the big matches because of it. But me. I’m heading for championship status in the form of the Television championship. I will be a breakout star of 2013 and I will beat you this week on Takedown, I hope you show up Jake.
(With that being said the cameras fade to black)
