scene start: Backstage after TNT.
Andrews was watching the entire show on the big screen plasma tv in his locker room, all in all it was a really impressive show, MPW seems to improve by the day, but there was one segment that Andrews was less then pleased about, and that was Taufik's promo segment. It made Ian sick hearing Taufik say that he carried the team, yet, why is it that Ian always got the win? If Taufik carried the team why did he depend on Ian to win the belts in the first place?
Oh well that was in the past, Ian didn't need Taufik any more. In fact next week Ian was facing one of the new Tag Team champions Chris Cable, one on one.
That just seemed to easy, Ian get's a shot at one half of the tag team champions just like that, this has bad news written all over it, but he wasn't going to pass up a shot at one part of the Age of Arrogance, if he could beat Cable, Andrews would move on to bigger and better things. Like the X-core division, or the Sin City division.
But there was still that nagging feeling in the back of Ian's head telling him that this was a trap, a set up either by AoA, or maybe even by that traitor Taufik. He had to put that in the back of his mind and focus all his attention on Cable, other wise he would lose yet another opportunity to show MPW what he can do.
Just then there was a knock on his door, breaking Andrews out of his thoughts.
An MPW camera crew, maybe they where lost, Andrews went to talk to them.
Andrews: "I think you guys are lost, Ash Soulsfate's locker room is a little further up the hall, and Drake Hunter already left."
Jay Wyatt: "We actually aren't lost, we came to talk to you."
This was a surprise, Andrews didn't ask for any interview time, yet here was Jay Wyatt trying to talk to him.
Andrews: "Well okay, guess I'll talk to you guys then."
Wyatt: "Excellent, here stand next to me so you can be in the shot."
Andrews stands next to Wyatt as the camera come to life.
Wyatt: "Hello MPW faithful, Jim Wyatt here backstage with Ian Andrews."
The camera man turns toward Ian.
Wyatt: "Ian what are your thoughts on what Taufik said tonight? about him carrying the Tag Team?"
Andrews: "Honestly, I don't know how to feel about that, Taufik and I where a dominant team, yes, but he didn't carry the team at all, if anything we worked together as well as we could, besides who always got the wins for the team?"
Wyatt: "You do have a point there. my other question is, how do you feel going into your match against Chris Cable."
Andrews: "Tough one, well I do feel confident, but I also have this suspicion in the back of my head."
Wyatt: "How so?"
Andrews: "I don't know why, but I feel like I'm being set up by someone, but I don't know who. It could be Cable's buddies in the AoA, or it could be Taufik and his manager Jamal trying to set me up. But there is also a possibility that maybe I'm over analyzing the situation, nevertheless, I will wrestle to my best ability against Cable next week, but if I am right and I'm being set up. I just hope that whoever turns out to have set me up is ready for a whole new world of pain."
Wyatt: "There you have it folks, Ian Andrews ready for the showdown next week, against Chris Cable."
(scene fades to black.)
