It's been a weird week. I don't really know what's been going on in MPW, it seems the whole place is just going crazy. I openly challenged my partner for her title, we defeated the AOA, and we both got hit with a steel chair for our troubles. And the AOA apparently is growing in numbers.
Wonderful.
Drake spoke of an insurance policy, but Kuk Killswitch doesn't really fit the bill of "insurance" but I guess empty promises from a crazy person speak volumes these days. Kuk, I have oceanfront property in Arizona to sell you if that's the case. But none the less, Bliss and I emerged victorious, albeit by disqualification, which seems to the be the way people like to end matches against me these days. People are figuring out that I'm not going to just lose without making you work for it. I guess no one wants to put in the work. Did I expect Kuk to do what he did? No. Am I surprised? No. Drake knows that he needs help and he's got to go to extreme lengths to get it. No pun intended. Kuk was his choice, and he'll have to live with that. It only displays the desperation that Drake is covered in, as he knows that it's only a matter of time before he loses at Road 2 Glory and he goes back to the drawing board and to build a better mouse trap.
But, as I said, I'm guilty of acting out, as I challenged Bliss for the Sin City title. Why I chose to do it right before we teamed was a strategic choice. That way, Bliss was a little more focused on the match and was useful in the fight. She knew my intentions, and she knew that I would wait until after the fight to go after her. And that will start soon enough, we have a while before then. But now she knows. It's why I did what I did.
Of course, it could also be the fact that I haven't been sleeping much, and when I do, Sydney is watching me for the first signs of trouble. Thus far, it's been quiet, but I know Clint. I know he's there, inside my mind with my thoughts, and fears. And soon, he'll be there, and there won't be any more avoiding it. I just don't know what I'm in for, and I hate not knowing stuff. It's why I am a master at Trivial Pursuit, knowledge is true power. But I'll have to face him, on his turf, in his realm. He knows this. So do I. I just hope that what I think, will help me in the long run.
This is quite possibly the most dangerous thing I'm ever going to do. Monsters, mutants, madmen, psychos, criminals, all of them simply blend together I've done battle with so many of them. And I've always known that I can come out on top, because if I need the Guild they'll be there. I know that I'm not alone in the fight for the greater good.
But against Clint. I am alone.
There's so many things going on in my head that it's become hard to focus lately, and I've really been off my game. I haven't been me. Even though we're closing in on a month since I lost the TV title, and lost a match for that matter. I feel like I'm not...there, just yet. Just kinda going through the motions. And it's because Clint is still hovering over me like a dark cloud of doom. Sydney's been carrying this partnership, because she doesn't have these problems. But if Clint isn't stopped soon, she may just start having problems. If I can't, then who can?
So, needless to say, I'm not really in the mood for this, this week. I've got bigger fish to fry, much less Chris Cable.
Yes, Chris, I don't consider you important, deal with it.
I bet your feeling really proud of yourself after last week, when you did all of nothing and got to stand with two people who did. At least Kuk swung the chair, and Drake masterminded the whole thing. You? You were the bully's friend from all those '80's movies. The guy who after the bully shoves someone in a locker just says "awesome man." And nothing else. That's you Chris. How does it feel to be the odd man out of your group? You're not the brains, you're not the brawn, what are you Chris? I'll tell you, you are the hired henchmen who proceeds to get his ass kicked because he thinks he's helping. You're the guy who tried to play leader, but you don't have it in you. In fact, if the AOA was Andre, Drake and Kuk, no one would notice you not even being there. You're not even number 2 anymore.
And you're being replaced by a guy who doesn't even care about the group that much. How does that feel, Chris?
But there you are, waving the team flag even though you guys lost last week, yes, Kuk hit both Bliss and me with a chair, but we were well on our way to winning anyway, so you guys needed to save face. Well now, it's you and me Chris. You get to deal with me, after you brought up the rear last week. So, if you want to try that same strategy of trying to save face, just don't even bother coming down to the ring.
Because if you do, I'm going to tear you apart.
I figure it like this Chris, I'm going to beat you within an inch of your life, then take your limp carcass and throw it at Drake's feet. You think that because you're on the team, that means you get to come in for the big win? It doesn't. You're not a starter, bro, you're like a practice squad guy. A guy the AOA needs to be a tackling dummy. That doofy guy they let in the group out of pity. The simple fact is Chris, you and Drake were not good enough to beat me and Bliss. And Drake, was not good enough to beat Bliss. So, honestly, do you think I'm going to let you beat me? Do you think I'm going the AOA get one more victory over me? Even if I was even in the mood to deal with it?
I'm going to beat you Chris. I'm going to break the AOA's stranglehold on the good viewers of this show's television time. If it means I've got to break you piece by piece, starting with you, I will do it. But I want you to do something for me, Chris. I want you to call for Drake's help in this match, when you realize just how screwed you are. I want you to see if Drake will come out to help you. Because without it, you are dog meat.
Then again, with the way I feel right now, even with it, you're dog meat.
You and Drake can continue to shill your stupid Age of Arrogance, whatever you like. Whatever helps you through the day. But deep down you know Chris, that when it's over and Drake fails to win the world title, and someone takes the tag titles of you, and the AOA is left looking somehow even more stupid then it does now, you'll have no one to blame but yourself.
That is, if you make it through this match.
Yeah, if I were you, I wouldn't even worry about trying to win, just stay conscious. I got a taste of that elbow last week, so let me retort by giving you my foot upside your head. Right after my fists. Or, I could just choke you out. I haven't really decided yet. But, I will try and make it quick. Not painless, but very quick.
You wanna prove something to the world? prove that you have something resembling balls in between your legs and take this beating like a man. Because you're going to get beat up Chris. And it's going to hurt. A lot. I promise.
Now, it's time to take care of other things, before I take out the trash on TNT.
[ Roxi and Sydney stand inside the guild's medical bay, with Dr. Lord. ]
Dr. Lord - Okay, Lady Bedlam, let's hear why you needed to see me so urgently.
Roxi - I'm sorry, Doctor Lord, But this is important.
Dr. Lord - So...what's going on?
Sydney - She has ghost Aids.
Roxi - Shut up, Z.
Dr. Lord - What?
Roxi - Nothing, don't listen to her. I have a problem and I know you can help.
Dr. Lord - So, what is it?
Roxi - There's...a man in my dreams.
[ Dr. Lord arches a brow ]
Roxi - No, no, not like that. Clint Renner. Clint has invaded my mind somehow, and he's...been trying to kill me in my sleep.
Dr. Lord - ...So, what do you want me to do?
Roxi - I need you to hook me up to that machine that can see dreams.
Dr. Lord - That machine is not a toy.
Roxi - I know, I need this...I need you to see what I'm up against.
Dr. Lord - I'm not sure what you want to accomplish here.
Roxi - This is so I can prove to you, and myself, that I'm not crazy.
Dr. Lord - This is against my better judgement...
Roxi - Please?
Dr. Lord - Say you are telling the truth, what happens then?
Roxi - Then, I face him in my dreams, with you all able to monitor it, and...pull me out?
Dr. Lord - How do you know it's going to happen the next time you fall asleep?
Roxi - I don't.
Sydney - It's been a few weeks since she's slept properly. I think it's really getting to her.
Dr. Lord - But there's no indication that he will ever come back, if he's there at all. You have no way of knowing.
Roxi - I'll try to draw him out.
Dr. Lord - That could take days, that machine is not designed for that.
Roxi - I need this Doc, otherwise, I'm not going to ever be rid of this.
[ Dr. Lord looks down and sees that Roxi is actually clinging to his shirt, her eyes look fearful and yet, hopeful. He removes his glasses and sighs.]
Dr. Lord - *sighs* Alright. I'll fire up the machine, and we'll take a look. But I'm not leaving you there all night.
Roxi - That's good enough for me, doc.
Dr. Lord - Wait here, I'll call you when we're ready.
[ Dr. Lord walks away, and Roxi looks over at Sydney ]
Roxi - Well, that went well.
Sydney - Better than expected?
Roxi - Yeah, actually.
Sydney - He would have been more receptive if you had gone the ghost Aids route.
Roxi - I. Don't. Have. Ghost. Aids.
Sydney - Alright, alright, sheesh. I am hungry. Sweet, Aunt Annie's pretzel's.
Roxi - Get me one!
Sydney - Only have money for one.
Roxi - Dammit.
Dr. Lord - We're ready for you now.
Roxi - I'll be right there.
I'm acting irrational again. But this, this isn't a normal thing I'm dealing with. This is something different. And I've got to face it.
It's now or never.
[ Roxi lays down and is strapped into the chair, and hooked up to the machine. ]
Dr. Lord - There. I'm going warn you right now, if anything goes run, I'm pulling you out.
Roxi - That's what I want.
Dr. Lord - Okay, I'm giving you a mild sedative.
Roxi - Thank you.
[ Roxi is given the sedative and soon is asleep, the montior catches her dream. Sure enough she awakens in a soft white bed.]
Roxi - I'm here. Dr. Lord, I hope your watching.
[ Now clad in full costume, she stands and looks around cautiously .]
Roxi - Come out, Clint. Stop hiding, let's settle this.
[ From the shadow's Clint emerges, smiling at her. ]
Clint - Hello gorgeous.
Roxi - Clint.
Clint - You asked, you shall receive.
Roxi - Let's get this over with.
Clint - Oh, you're ready now?

Clint - But you didn't. It's why I'm here, and you are alive.
Roxi - It wasn't my fault Clint.
Clint - Yes it was. And now, you'll pay me back for it.
Roxi - So...you just plan to keep me here?
Clint - No. I simply need you to give me what I want.
Roxi - Which is?
Clint - You, will act as a vessel for me.
Roxi - What?

Clint - Flattery will get you nowhere. Now, let's get on with it.
Roxi - I can't do that.
Clint - You can, and you will. You owe me your life.
Roxi - That's too much. I can't carry a child for you.
Clint - If you want me out of your mind, you'll let me into your body.
Roxi - I can't.
Clint - What a surprise, once again you fail to save those you try to hard to.

[ Her eyes widen in surprise ]

Clint - Child, I am aware of where you are, and what you're doing. Outside this little world, you've got your friends watching.
No...
Clint - And now, since you won't help, I'm about to start torturing you.
Roxi - I'm not afraid of you.
Clint - Ah, bravado. But I can hurt you more than ways than physically.
Roxi - What are you talking about?
Clint - You'll see.
[ With that, Clint steps back into the shadows, and disappears. Roxi is pulled out and slowly comes around. ]
Dr. Lord - Are you alright?
Roxi - Yes....Did you see him?

Oh...no...
Roxi - ....You think that's who he meant?
Dr. Lord - I don't know, But if anything happens, you need to return to me at once.
Roxi - I will.
[Roxi departs, and runs after Sydney ]
Is that what Clint meant? Oh no! He's going after my friends...Just stepped in it pretty deep Roxi. But he's not going to hurt Sydney. Or anyone else. I've got to stop him.
