(the scene begins with a Flash back to the Greco-Roman Wrestling finals final period at the Beijing Olympics.)
Bob Costas: "this has been a greet match so far, the USA Wrestler, Ian Chapman is just one more period away from the Gold medal, but the Japan Representative has been tough and forced this 3rd period with a five point german suplex in the 2nd, Chapman cannot let that happen again if he wants the gold medal."
Andrews, as he was unofficially know among the USA team took to the mat for the final round against Kazuki Yoshida of Japan, Andrews stood on the line.
The refs whistle blew to start the final period and right away Andrews went on the attack, hooking a body lock on Yoshida in an attempt to throw him to win the match, but Yoshida countered with a throw of his own, a five point move, the match was over, Andrews had lost the gold medal in a matter of seconds.
Bob Costas: "What a heart breaker for this young man, just when it looked like he was going to win the Gold, Yoshida of japan crushed his dreams of Olympic stardom."
(back to the present.)
That day still haunted Andrews memory, he was so close but in the end he couldn't win on the biggest stage of the world. That was in the past and Andrews knew that but for some reason he couldn't let that loss go, he was no longer an Olympic wrestler he was now a Pro, coming off his biggest win in his Pro career thus far, yet what happened in the Olympics still haunts him to this day.
Since that day Andrews has always said he would make it big in the pros, and now here he is in MPW, but he still feels he hasn't accomplish much, yes he was one time Tag team champion and yes he has won on the grandest stage in all of MPW Road to Glory, but that just wasn't enough, he needed to prove to himself that he could shine in the spotlight, but so far when he has been in the spotlight it was just like in the Olympics, he would make it so far just to blow it with his aggressiveness.
He had promised his family back then that he would come back with the Gold. And he let them down, yes they where still proud when he came home with the Silver, but Andrews was still crushed, he felt like he was in hell for weeks following his Olympic loss.
Andrews: "No I can't dwell on the past, I have to look forward to my Future with MPW. I am no longer the kid that blew it in Beijing, I've grown up, and I've trained to hard for that to happen to me again."
