What, and miss this? I don't think so!
[The scene opens with Emi and Kenji making their way through the docks. A gray sky clouds over them and the tide makes its presence felt with loud and restless waves. Emi and Kenji are both in their winter coats. Kenji is not very enthusiastic.]
I just don't think this is a good idea. I mean don't you think it's a little strange how only you were invited to this?
[Emi pouts.]
Not really. I just thought I had those free tickets cuz I'm so cute!
But why'd you have to drag me along?
Because Cami has her own things to deal with. Don't you ever listen?
Well if she thinks that she's throwing any parties in my flat then she can forget it! But umm...who did you say you got these tickets from?
[Emi shrugs.]
I dunno. Some ginger guy with tattoos all over his body...
Great...
[They arrive at the correct docking bay. They both gazed at a small cruise ship tied to a rope with a bridge already set up behind a welcoming sign. As Emi bounces up and down in excitement Kenji tilts his head down in disappointment.]
This is it? This is the S.S. Cruzah!? This is the supposed luxury cruise ship? You've gotta be kidding me...
Oh my god... This is going to be sooooooo cool!! It's gonna be like a swashbuckling pirate adventure!!
[Emi takes Kenji's hand.]
Come on! What are we waiting for!?
*sigh*
[Emi pulls Kenji forward as they approach the docked ship. Emi skips across the bridge and already finds herself aboard. Kenji however is not so keen as stops himself from going any further.]
Emi, I should warn you before I come aboard. I get sea sick real easily...
[Emi looks back at Kenji who is still not aboard. She looks cross.]
Would you stop worrying Kenny? Everything's gonna be fine. Just hop on board and you'll see!
[She is clearly not paying attention as Kenji takes a deep breath and reluctantly steps onto the ship. As soon as he steps on however he immediately leans on the railing on the side of the ship, desperately trying not to feel sick. Emi finally sees him and puts her hands on her hips.]
Honestly Kenny, you're like a child sometimes...
[Kenji's eyes suddenly widen.]
ME!? You're the one who...
[He is suddenly interrupted when a tattooed figure suddenly emerges from the interior of the ship. He has a devious smirk on his face as he welcomes Emi and Kenji.]
Hey, it's you again!
Yes, and I am so glad that you could make it. And just in time. We are about to begin with our cruz...
Cruz? I thought it was a cruise...
Yo, dis be a cruz cuz he be hippity hoppity gangsta innit?
[Kenji looks confused.]
Umm yes indeed. And now that you're here, then we can finally begin...
Hey before we go, can you say all aboard?
[He clears his throat.]
ALL ABOARD!!!
[Emi giggles hysterically as the tattooed man unties the rope. He heads back inside to steer, and as Emi waves at random people from the docks the ship finally sets off. The cruise has begun.]
[The first few hours pass by, and already it's night time. Emi and Kenji are together in their room. While Kenji is lying in his bed pondering, Emi is still excited, now humming sea shanties to herself as she sits on her bed. Kenji finally cuts her off.]
Don't you think that something fishy is going on here?
[Emi turns around and faces Kenji with a cheeky smirk.]
Well there are fishes in the sea...
[Kenji face-palms.]
I mean don't you think that this is all strange? That captain was a little forward with you wasn't he? And what kind of cruise ship is this? I mean we're the only passengers here, I've only seen one member of the crew and that was the captain, and there's nowhere to relax. The galley is too small and there's no sign of a casino or a bar. Heck, this is probably the only guest room on the entire ship!
So what's your point?
This is probably the worst cruise ever!
I think I liked you better when you were throwing up all over the place. Take off those wristbands...
No. Cami gave them to me to keep me from getting sea sick...
Fine, then go to sleep. Maybe you'll feel better after a good night sleep. We can play pirates in the morning then!
Oh I can't wait...
[Kenji rolls his eyes before drifting off to sleep. Emi later does the same after finally tiring herself out. In the morning, Emi is the first to wake up. After slipping her clothes from yesterday back on she skips up to the top deck, but is instantly disappointed at the sight of dull gray clouds, a dim boring sea and fog as far as the eye can see.]
But...but where's the blue sky?
[She turns around and notices the tattooed captain approaching her.]
Don't worry cutie, there'll be plenty of sunshine in the future for both of us...
[Emi steps away from him.]
Whoa now, what do you mean both of us?
Oh, I thought you knew. This isn't an ordinary cruz. You were chosen and you accepted. We're going to get married tomorrow!
WHAT!?
[Emi is horrified.]
Let me explain. My associate is getting married later this week, and he instructed me to do the same so I don't have to be left out and I can prove myself to be affiliated with him...
That's insane! Your associate sounds like an idiot! You don't have to do this...
Oh but I want to. Think about it, we could be unstoppable together! I've seen what you can do...
Really? Did you see this?
[Emi suddenly knees him in the groin. As he collapses in agony Emi rushes back inside the ship to try and wake up Kenji. As soon as she finds him she viciously shakes him until he finally wakes up. He looks furious.]
Emi, what the hell are you doing?
Kenji, we need to get out of here!
[She tries to pull him out of bed. He stops her.]
Hold on. What do you mean we need to get out of here?
You were right. The captain's a freak! This was all a nasty scheme and we need to get back home now!
Wait a minute. Could you say that again?
We need to get back home...
No no, the first thing you said...
...you were right?
[Kenji smirks for the first time since stepping onto the ship.]
Okay, let's move!
[So Kenji gets out of bed and gets rushed into his clothes before following Emi back to the top deck. They make their way towards the life boat but they are suddenly cut off by the tattooed captain, who has recovered from his earlier blow.]
Oh no you don't! I paid for this entire trip! You're not going anywhere until I get what I want!!
And what exactly is it that you want?
Forget it! I'll never get married to an ugly troll like you!!
Wait, what?
Come on shortstuff, it's the only way I can make a name for myself...apart from leeching off my associate...
Then stick to that, because clearly you don't seem to be any good at anything else! If this is your way of proposing to someone then being an icky leech doesn't seem so bad for you! Now get out of my way you creep!
No...
[He then suddenly charges at Emi. She ducks just in time and he flies over the rail, off the ship and into the water below. Emi looks down to see where he went, but she couldn't see him. Kenji is still confused.]
Wait...what just happened?
[Emi turns around.]
That freak wanted to marry me! What kind of a sea captain is he? Blackbeard must be rolling in his grave right now...
So, was this like some kind of mutiny or what?
[Emi suddenly lights up with a smile.]
I guess it is. You know what that means?
I can hazard a guess...
[Emi suddenly opens a nearby chest. She pulls a pirate hat out of the chest and puts it on her head. She then assumes a pose.]
Avast ye scallywag! I be your new captain now! Ye may call me Captain Butterfly! Now weight anchor and hoist the mizzen! We make our way for adventure!! Yo ho ho!!
[Kenji rolls his eyes as Emi hops to the front of the ship. She stares into a dull view before her, hoping that this trip will be for nothing.]
[After a whole day of sailing aimlessly across the sea, Emi Yamamoto, now wearing a full pirate costume she found from the same chest as before, looks worn out as she leans over the steering wheel. Kenji, after feeling sea sick once again, enters the bridge where he sees Emi dozing off.]
Aww...
[Night falls, and now Emi is fast asleep on the wheel. Kenji decides to carry her to bed, although he struggled in doing so. After tucking her into bed Kenji heads back into the bridge and takes control of the ship himself. He spent the rest of the night steering the ship aimlessly through the thick foggy night. He too started to doze off, but he tried his best not to fall asleep. However as dawn broke, it was too much and Kenji fell asleep at the wheel himself. Later in the morning, the entire ship rocks, and Kenji falls half way across the room. He wakes up with a headache, and as he does Emi suddenly runs back in with a smile on her face.]
KENNY KENNY KENNY KENNY!!!
What? What is it? Wait, have we stopped?
Yes! Now come quick!
[Emi pulls Kenji back to his feet and drags him by the hand to the top deck. The first thing he notices is a bright blue sky high above, with little to no clouds, and a gentle warm breeze in the air. Emi pulls him to the front of the ship. He looks down and sees that the ship had docked onto a beach, overlooking a tropical paradise.]
Wow!
I know right? Aren't I a great pirate or what?
[Kenji smiles.]
You're the best Emi...
[Emi smiles and gives him a quick hug before leaping over the rail.]
EMI!!
[Kenji looks down and sees that Emi landed on the sand safely. She looks up at him.]
Come on Kenny! It's not that far down!
[Kenji reluctantly jumps off, and he too lands safely on the soft sand. They then both look out into the paradise ahead.]
Wow it's hot out here...
[She suddenly throws her entire outfit off, revealing a bright white bikini. Kenji blushes and looks away.]
You've seen me with less than this Kenny! Now come on, maybe we can find some treasure here!
[They start walking across the beach.]
Where do you think we are anyway?
Well, a treasure island obviously! We're gonna dig up some shiny booty!
If you say so... We need to find someone who can help us...
[Just as he says that, they suddenly notice something far ahead on the beach. They make their way towards it, and once they get there they realize that they had just walked in on a beach drinking party. As "I'm On a Boat" by the Lonely Island echoes, a group of partiers notice Emi and Kenji and welcome them.]
Hey ragazzi! Benvenuti alla festa!
Pardon?
Oh, you speak English? He said hey guys! Welcome to the party!!
[Emi pumps her fist as Kenji is still in disbelief.]
WOO!! PARTY!!
I can't believe what's going on here...
STOP WHERE YOU ARE!!!
[Everyone turns to the sea, and they are shocked at what they see. The tattooed man from earlier emerges from the water, but he is not alone. He is riding on top of a giant purple octopus. He looks furious as he screams at Emi and Kenji.]
You can't beat me that easily! Emi, I'm gonna give you one final warning. Either marry me or my friend here will crush you!!
[Emi steps up.]
Sorry fish breath! I've beaten you once and you already know that I can and will do the same again! I will never marry a smelly creep like you, and there's not a thing you can do about it!! You can bring in as much help as you want, in the end you know that you will never defeat me! So there!
[She blows a raspberry at him.]
Very well...
[He orders the octopus to attack. It launches a tentacle, but Emi manages to dodge it. She dodges another tentacle and suddenly finds herself within an arm's reach in front of the eye of the octopus. She smiles at it.]
What is that big meanie doing to you?
[She rests her head against it, confusing the octopus who freezes in place.]
Poor little Jenny. You don't want to hurt me, do you? I'll never do anything nasty to you. Not like that big meanie. If you want we can be friends? How about I text you my phone number?
[The tattooed man looks down in frustration.]
What are you waiting for? Finish her off dammit!!
[He furiously stomps on the octopus. The creature suddenly snaps and turns against him, throwing him off its head.]
Whoa now...what are you doing? I thought we were friends...
[The octopus charges at him, and chases him back into the water. They both disappear as Emi waves.]
Talk to you later Jenny!!
[Emi turns around and returns to the party, where everyone is flabbergasted at what they just watched. Emi shrugs.]
What?
Che cazzo era?
Wow shortstuff! That was cool! Wanna drink?
[Kenji steps in.]
Sorry, Emi's not old enough to drink...
But this is Italy! You do know that the legal drinking age here is sixteen, right?
SIXTEEN!?
[Emi shoves Kenji aside and grabs the jug of beer.]
Avast ye scallywag! Captain Butterfly has found me shiny treasure!! Yar har har!!
[She drenches herself with the beer and merrily begins singing sea shanties as she joins the group of people playing beach volleyball. Kenji stops one of the people.]
Hey, do any of you know the way back to America? We actually have to get back before Thursday...
Don't worry, I have a ship of my own. I'll take you back first thing in the morning.

[Kenji smiles.]
With pleasure. I guess this trip wasn't a complete waste of time after all...

[Two days later, Emi and Kenji have returned home. They look completely refreshed as they make their way to the third floor of the flat.]
I hope Cami wasn't bored without us...
Nah. I'm sure she's been fine on her own...
[They arrive at the front of their door. Kenji opens it, noticing that it was unlocked, and as soon as they step in, Emi and Kenji are in shock. Their flat is an absolute mess. Then suddenly a goat walks in from Kenji's bedroom, wearing some of his clothes as well as his favorite beret, with a text book in its mouth. Cami finally comes in, with her hair in a mess, fighting with the goat, trying to get the book out of its mouth.]
Give me back my kinesiology you...damn...goat!!
[She stops as soon as she notices Emi and Kenji standing in the doorway. She looks like a deer caught in the headlights.]
Kenny...Emi... I can explain everything...
