*Followed up from MPW Takedown segment*
Taufik, sits down on his sofa but this time he felt as though a small weight has been lifted off from his shoulder and for the first time in the whole week, he felted relieve. After moments of silence, there’s a knock on the door. He takes a look at who it is as he opened up the door and it’s none other than one of the MPW road agent as he starts to speak.
Road Agent: Good evening Taufik, I’m here just to informed you about next week show.
Taufik: Yea, what about it?
Road Agent: You’re going to be wrestling in a Tag team match and your partner is none other than Nathan James.
Taufik: Nathan Jones?
Road Agent: No, Nathan James.
Taufik: You know what, I don’t know this jobber that I’m teaming up with and I don’t like tag team matches at all, how many times to I have to say that? Does any person around here actually have ears or they have a hard time understanding?
Road Agent: I’m not the one whose making the matches, I’m just here to tell you that you will be going to be in a Tag team match…
Taufik interrupts as he continues to speak
Taufik: I don’t care who’s in charge of this asylum, you can tell them to shove their tag team match straight up to their ass because I’m not going to wrestled and that’s final.
As he was about to close the door, the Road Agent spoke something that caught Taufik’s attention as he listens.
Road Agent: Taufik, your opponent for next week tag team match will be the two members of New Generation Superstar faction.
Taufik: I’m listening, go on.
Road Agent: The two members will be none other than Rye Payne and the man that beats you at Road 2 Glory, Ian Andrew.
A smirk comes out from the face of Taufik as he’s delighted with the news
Taufik: You know what? I will wrestle in this match; it’s time to redeem myself. I’ll see you next week.
Taufik then shuts the door as next week; he has something to prove while the mind of his is consumed with the thoughts about next week tag team match filling up his mind as he takes his luggage and heads to the parking lot, heading the direction to the hotel that he is booked in as the scene fades to black.
*A few days later*
He’s training in the gym alone for the first time in a few months as he’s waits for two wrestling partners that he have paid for and when he was carrying weight, his phone rang. He was surprised as it’s been days that his phone last rang when he checked it was on who is and he was surprised that it was his father as he immediately picks up.
Taufik: Hey dad, how have you been doing? How’s Singapore by the way?
Dad: It’s been good my son. I’ve watch Road 2 Glory and last week TNT and it seem you looked a bit troubled after losing to Ian Andrew and I guess Jamal deserves to be fired after the way he treated you. But back to your troubles, I’m sure it must be bugging you even just a little bit?
He speak to his dad in a calm manner but his voice soon became more rough and rude.
Taufik: A little bit dad? A little isn’t the correct word. I was caught off guard and I lost to someone that I’m not supposed to lose. I’m not troubled by it dad, but I’m disturb about it. Everywhere I go, I’ve seen nothing but Images of Ian anywhere it’s like I’M OBSCESS in getting my hands on Ian and I am getting it this week. Even though it’s a tag match, but I still got Ian where I wanted him. I don’t care about Rye Payne or my partner Nathan James, I could take both of them on alone if I wanted to.
His dad then stops him from continuing to speak.
Dad: Stop it son! Didn’t you hear yourself? You know yourself that you took lightly on Ian at Road 2 Glory and now you want to do the same mistake with Rye Payne? I know you’re having problem in accepting the fact that you LOSS to Ian is still bothering you, but DON’T EVER MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE AGAIN son.
His dad went silent as Taufik continues to talk in a calm manner.
Taufik: I’m sorry dad; I will make sure I won’t make the same mistake again. It’s just that the thought from Road 2 Glory still stings even though it’s been 2 weeks now, I keep having nightmares every night because of that loss. I just need to get my head in the game. I know I have a match against him this week but I wanted him in a one on one but not a Tag team and especially to someone that I rarely heard of. I still some beef with Rye Payne as I have a score to settle with him after what he did to me with his groupies attacking me in a cowardly assault last month.
Dad: There you go, you got two things to accomplished and I’m sure you want to kill two birds with one stone, but at the same time, you have to remember that this is not a normal match, it’s a tag team match and you have a partner to be there for you so make sure you make full use of this opportunity and not be reckless like you’re planning to do.
Taufik gives out a sigh as he agrees with his dad words as the person that Taufik paid two people to be his partner have arrive as he continues to speak
Taufik: Yes dad, I understand. Ok, my training partner is here right now and I better start training now, talk to you later dad.
He puts down the phone as he approach to the person that are students from a wrestling school that is held in the gym as he has paid them to be his partner as they shake hands and proceed to the ring that has been set up in the gym as they enters the ring and start on the warm up.
15 minutes later…
Taufik and a wrestling student that he have paid for finished their warm up and was about getting ready to do a mock match where Taufik began seeing Ian Andrew and Rye Payne in respective partners as he shake it off as they start to speak.
Partner 1: Hey man you ok there?
Partner 2: Why did you shake your head man? Are you feeling well?
Taufik looks at them with determined eyes before continues to speak.
Taufik: I’m ok, let’s just go on.
They then proceeded with Taufik to do the mock handicap match but in the middle of training, he saw the same images on the both of them again and this time he miss cue a move and the student punched his face and it drop Taufik to the floor. The both them went to check on him.
Partner 1: Are you ok man?
Taufik: Do not touched me Ian Andrew
Partner 2: Ian Andrew?
Taufik snaps and goes for variation of suplexs on them as he gives a beat down why the other guy tries to stop Taufik from inflicting more pain but instead he too fails as he got beats down and got toss around with every suplex he done. Once he has done doing the damage to them, he snaps out of it. He sees the things that happened to the guys that he has paid to be his training partner and goes and check on them. He called 911 and asks for a couple of ambulance to bring them to the hospital. He can’t believe that his obsession on redeeming himself against Ian Andrew actually makes him see things as he speaks to himself.
Taufik: Ian Andrew, I know that I take it easy on you because to me you were an easy opponent that I could dispose of but I was wrong. I was overconfident and this has happened and all I can do is to accept the fact that I’ve lost to you and I need to redeem myself and it starts tonight. I don’t care much about Rye Payne but he will get his just deserts as well because of his involvement and cowardly attack on me. I will make sure he too suffers tonight and Nathan James, you better make yourself a good partner and even though I hate Tag Team wrestling and I was force to team up with you just to get my hands on Ian, I want you to stay out of my way and tag in when I told you to do so.
He gives out a huge sigh before he heads to the showers when the ambulance arrive as the scene fades to black.
