Here I stand, still the Sin City Champion. That might strike a nerve with a certain person, but that doesn't matter. Now she's at the back of the line. You wasted your rematch, and now, you're going to have to wait. Oh well.
Is that what you wanted to hear? Am I gloating enough for you? Do you want me to rub it in a little more? Well, then tell me how the back of the contention line looks? I'll be waiting if you manage to make your way back up.
But, as I said before, that was merely one small battle. One tiny skirmish in this war. And TNT will be no different. Me and Drake, falls count anywhere. Boy, that doesn't sound like a stacked deck or anything does it? A match that can literally go anywhere and be as unpredictable as any match in wrestling. But It doesn't take a being a superhero to smell a trap. But in this case, it certainly does help.
I'm not dumb Drake. I know what this is. In fact, I'd be insulted if it wasn't a damn trap. Because you know you're going to need it. You want to sick your girlfriend on me again? You want to have your boys beat me down and hope that I'll go away afterward? It's not going to happen Drake. I've said it before, I'm not going to stop until you and your cronies are no longer in power. No longer on control. Doesn't matter if it takes 3 days or 3 years. I'll be right here, right in front of you, annoying you, pestering you like a bug. I'm not going to stop, not going away, not going to give up. So you can save any speech you have planned for me about how great and powerful your group is, and how you're doing the right thing. It's genetically impossible for you to do something good. It's why we are polar opposites. But I'm sure it won't stop you from saying it.
But then, what are you going to say? That I'm crazy, right? I'm a mental patient, and some other fine points that you will put out there because you think you know me. It's cute, but it's not an advantage for you. Because you don't know me. And you never will.
I stand to fight people like you, and I always will. No matter the name, the gender, race, creed, doesn't matter. What matters is that no one person is allowed to have too much power. "Absolute power corrupts absolutely" As Lord Acton once said. Tyrants cannot be allowed to rule, otherwise everyone suffers. It has happened to all the great empires and nations who've tried. It's one reason I am here. One reason I stand and fight against the people who try such acts. It's who I am. You can call me a hero, or brave, or stupid, or crazy, I know I'm doing what's right. And I know it's worth it to fight for the greater good. I know where I stand, and I know where you stand, and neither one of us likes the others position.
But, then again, I'm not your concern am I? No, I'm just Roxi Johnson. The crazy little superhero that you aren't going to pay any attention to, right? Just going to ignore me and spend a good chunk of your time talking about Trey, or Bliss, or Ash, or anyone who isn't me. No that it bothers me, it just serves another sign of you simply wanting me to go away. Get out of your life.
Because unlike your girlfriend, I see through you.
I see what you are all about, and the bravado and facade that you put on are simply masks. Masks of the real you. The selfish, arrogant prick who wants nothing but control of everything and everyone. You may have the others fooled Drake, but I wasn't born yesterday. I can see a megalomaniac from a mile away. And you fit the description to a T my good sir. It's one of the many reasons to not like you. Because you are so fake and phony, it makes Bliss's remark about being someone your not all the more hilarious. It makes me think if she subconsciously was thinking about you when she said it. Maybe there's a hint of a coherent person inside of her that you haven't corrupted.
But maybe that's hoping against hope. Maybe that's me trying to see the good in everyone. Which is another reason I oppose you. Because I see the only good you have in you, is simply for the purposes of manipulation. I would class you as a sociopath, but that would be too good for you. Also, there is a difference between you and them. They are unaware of people's feelings. You are aware, you simply have contempt for them. You only wish to use them to help your own ends meets. It's bordering on psychopathic for you. The end result is still the same, you are a person who must be stopped.
Arrogant, selfish, douchebags like you have to be put in their place. I am fully aware that it won't be after TNT that you see the error of your ways. It's going to take time. And, for all the effort being put in, it may be a lost cause. But that's okay. I'm got nothing but time, and the slight reward of punching you in the face repeatedly while I'm trying is cause enough to try. At least I think so. The idea of beating you at this early stage is a good starting point, but it won't change anything right away. This is still a war, and wars are won over time, by achieving victory whenever you can, and using defeat to better yourself, and learn all you can about your enemy.
I feel like I know so much about you already Drake. I feel like I have already learned a lot and now, I need to put it to good use. This falls count anywhere match is just a teaser for what lies ahead. You can deny it all you want. You can brush me off and tell me I'm crazy, and foolish for opposing you. Heck, after I beat you on TNT, you can still ignore me. It simply means that like I did to Bliss, I've entered your head. I'm getting to you. And you might be a tough nut to crack, but eventually, over time, with enough force and pressure, it cracks like every other nut. And I've got nothing but time right now.
Be it this week or the next, or whenever it strikes you, you're going to start to pay attention to me and this war. People like AJ Stark may find along side me, or I may go at this alone. It doesn't matter how many join my side, or if any more join your side. I'm prepared to suffer losses Drake. Because I know in the end, I have to win. And to me, "win" simply means by any means. If you want to bring the crew at me this week, so be it. If you me to run through every single one of them in order to get to you, then I will. No matter who you send Drake, one at a time, two at a time, or all 5 of you. I'm ready. I'll be standing right here, in your way the whole time, ready for whatever comes next. Falls count anywhere match on TNT? Sure. I'm game, I'll be there.
And I'm ready for the rest of the crew to show up as well. I'm counting on it Drake. You know you need them, and they certainly need you. I'm ready for them to show up, I'm ready for them to try to stop me. To help you gain the edge you've lost since I took down Bliss. Listen to her and have her tell you how much you're going to have to do in order to stop me. Because she needs you to. She can't do it, so she's relying on you. But I want you to understand something:
She couldn't take this Sin City title from me, and she wanted to destroy me. She wanted to put me out of action, out of your way. Out of the picture. And she couldn't do it, because I'm not just fighting for myself or a small group of people. I'm fighting for everyone who isn't you. All she wanted was this title. And I was ready to give up a lot to keep it.
Can you imagine what I'm willing to do to win this war?
What I'm willing to, or more importantly, WHO I'm willing to sacrifice in order to acheive my goal? Are you prepared to deal with the heavy losses your forces are going to suffer? Can you be a leader and lead by example this week? Can you truly ever be safe from me, and what I'm bringing to you, full steam ahead? Are you really ready for war?
I want you to think about that as you stroke her hair as you gaze into her eyes and tell her that you are going to get revenge on me, put me in my place. As you tell her that everything is going to work out, and that you have a plan. As you dedicate this match to her and motivate yourself to beat me.
And as she gets off her knees and wipes her mouth, you can try saying it without distractions.
I'll see you in the ring Drake, and everywhere else you want this fight to go. I'm ready. I don't have a choice. As Publius said
"Si vis pacem, para bellum"
"if you want peace, prepare for war."
I'm coming to your doorstep Drake, and I bring you war.
[Roxi and Sydney sit in their apartment, Sydney staring at Roxi. ]
Sydney - You can't be serious...
Roxi - I'm thinking about it.
Sydney - You can't.
Roxi - Why not?
Sydney - Why not, because you hardly know this guy.
Roxi - We've been on two dates, and he's really nice.
Sydney - But this is the ultimate step. Once you do this, there is no going back.
Roxi - I'm aware of that.
Sydney - I think think it's a terrible idea.
Roxi - Why?
Sydney - Because you're taking too big of a risk.
Roxi - It's a chance I'm willing to take.
Sydney - This is a really stupid choice.
Roxi - I trust him.
Sydney - Maybe a little too much?
Roxi - Maybe, but I can't just keep going on like this if I'm with him.
Sydney - Roxi, you cannot tell him who you are.
Roxi - You worry too much.
Sydney - I don't think you worry enough. What if you guys break up, you could inadvertently create an enemy who knows your true identity. This could be Clint all over again.
Roxi - I don't think Ted has any superpowers.
Sydney - That's not the point. He'd be armed with information. Something that could lead to a lot of bad stuff.
Roxi - I just don't want to go through life hiding anything from somebody I...like...a lot.
Sydney - You were about to say "love" weren't you?
Roxi - Maybe. I think we're close on that.
Sydney - I still think this is a bad idea.
Roxi - If I can't trust Ted with this, Am I ever going to be able to?
Sydney - Rox, this is a silly idea.
[ The apartment buzzer rings. ]
Roxi - That's him. I gotta go, we'll talk about this later.
Sydney - *Sigh* Just don't do anything stupid.
Roxi - Syd, It's me.
Sydney - I know...
Roxi - I heard that.
[ Roxi and Ted are now in Ted's apartment, after a nice dinner and movie date. ]
Ted - Well, that was fun.
Roxi - It was, I had a really nice time.
Ted - So, what do you think?
Roxi - I think so.
Ted - What?
Roxi - Hmm? Nothing. What were you saying?
Ted - What do you think of this place?
Roxi - It's nice. What's the rent?
Ted - I think it's about 8.
Roxi - Wow. For all this? That's quite a deal.
Ted - Yeah....So, would you like anything to drink? Coffee? Water? I have some wine in the fridge.
Roxi - Uh...some water is fine...
Ted - Okay. I'll be right back.
[ Ted walks into the kitchen. ]
The man keeps wine in his fridge? He's either a drunk, or he's done this before...
Ted - Here's your water.
Roxi - Thanks.
Ted - So, anything new and exciting in the world of pro wrestling?
Roxi - Well, I just won a cage match.
Ted - That's good right?
Roxi - Yeah. I think so.
Ted - I still can't get over the fact that you do something that dangerous.
Roxi - Well, I guess I'm full of surprises.
Ted - Like what?
Think of something...quick!
Roxi - ...uh...Maybe you can find out.
Ted - Oh. Those kind of surprises.
Well, now you sound like a slut. Way to go.
Roxi - What I mean is...I am really flexible...
SLUT!
Roxi - No, I...I used to be a gymnast and a cheerleader...
WHORE!
Roxi - No, No... I mean...I've just been really athletic all my life.
Ted - Nice. I tried weight lifting, I was good at it until I turned 21.
Roxi - Oh, what happened?
Ted - I switched to 12 ounce curls.
Roxi - ....
Ted - I started drinking.
Roxi - Oh...
Ted - But, I've been sober for a long time. I only drink on occasion. Such as being with a beautiful woman like you.
Roxi - Aww...that's really sweet.
Ted - So, can you still do all those flips and stuff?
Roxi - I...think so.
Ted - Why not do one right now.
Roxi - No. That's okay.
Ted - Come on...
Roxi - I really shouldn't.
Ted - Shouldn't? Or can't?
Roxi - I can still flip, I just don't want to.
Ted - What are you, chicken?
Roxi - I am not.
Ted - Then do one...I BET you can't.
Roxi - ....
Ted - Bwak...bwak...
Roxi - Alright fine. What do I get if I win?
[ Roxi stands up and readies herself ]
Ted - Win what?
Roxi - This bet.
Ted - If you win...I don't know, I'll let you pick.
Roxi - Really?
Ted - Yup.
Roxi - Alright.
[ Roxi of course does the backflip with little to no effort. ]
Ted - Wow, that's impressive.
Roxi - I know.
Ted - So, what does the bet winner want?
Roxi - Hmmm... How about you, give me...a lapdance.
Ted - A lap dance?
Roxi - Yup. Now put on some music and drop those drawers.
Ted - Really?
Roxi - Get on it.
Ted - Alright...
[ Ted puts his drink down, and puts on some music and proceeds to do the lap dance. Fade on that. Because nobody wants to see that. ]
[It's hours later, and Roxi is in Ted's bed. Asleep. She rolls over still with a smile on her face. ]
What a night....I can't believe I did that. I think that this is really love. I wonder...I...I think I'm going to tell him.
[ She opens her eyes to find him at the foot of the bed, clothes already on. ]
Roxi - Hey...
Ted - Hey.
Roxi - I have something...I want to tell you.
Ted - Listen, I...I have to go. I called you a cab.
Roxi - Where are you going?
Ted - Out. I have some things I need to take care of.
Roxi - ...It's 2am.
Ted - Have to get an early start. Sorry. I wish I could talk, but I have to go. If you could...let yourself out?
Roxi - ... Yeah...
Ted - Thanks.
[ With that, Ted gets up and walks out the bedroom door, Leaving Roxi to sit up on the bed and wonder. ]
What was that? I should follow him...No...what am I, a stalker? But what if he's in trouble? I don't know what to do...I want to trust him, but that was so strange...
No Rox, calm down. He's a grown man...going out at 2am...
