(((We open up to Time Warner Cable Arena where Ruthless Assault will take place in a few days. We are currently outside of the locker room of one of the newest members of the MPW Lucas King where we see MPW Backstage Interviewer Jay Wyatt standing with a camera crew. After a few knocks the door swings open and out comes Lucas King wearing his wrestling attire and a black shirt that says "This King" on the front. He turns and shuts the door behind him as we see the back of the shirt saying "Is All In...".)))
-[Jay Wyatt]- Lucas King. Just the man I was hoping to talk to. I'm Jay Wyatt and I...
-[Lucas King]- I know who you are and what you want Wyatt.
-[Jay Wyatt]- You do?
-[Lucas King]- You want an interview right?
-[Jay Wyatt]- I guess my reputation precedes me.
-[Lucas King]- Lucky for you I've got a lot I need to get off my chest. So let's do this thing.
-[Jay Wyatt]- Well first of all congratulations on your big win last week against the former TV Champion Jason-X. A lot of people didn't think you'd be able to pull out the victory...
-[Lucas King]- A lot of people don't know who I am...yet...
-[Jay Wyatt]- It was still a very impressive victory and seems to have gotten you pushed into the spotlight already. I guess your actions have opened the eyes of the front office to the type of talent you can be. Do you think, considering your lack of wrestling experience, that this title shot at Ruthless Assault might have come to early?
-[Lucas King]- It is early. I'll give you that. I'm sure there aren't many guys out there who can say they stepped into a wrestling ring and a month later they were given they're first title shot. So yeah it might be a little early. With that said though I feel like I've already proven that I can be a force in Millenium Pro Wrestling for a long time. My 3-0 record, meanwhile not against the greatest competition, is unblemished. Not only that but last week I beat Jason X, a man many considered to be the top contender for the MPW TV Title. So if he is one of the top contenders for the belt, and I beat him fair and square, then why shouldn't I also be given the same opportunity as him?
-[Jay Wyatt]- You beat him and that was impressive but he has also paid his dues and earned his TV Title rematch.
-[Lucas King]- That he did, and he's still getting it. It's not like I came in and stole the guys TV Title shot because last I checked he was still in the match as well. I can't help the fact that he's not going to be able to win because I'm in the match. I'm not the type of man who is going to lay down for anyone especially not somebody I know I'm better than. Whether you, or anyone else for that matter, thinks I deserve this shot is irrelevant to me. Because come Ruthless Assault I will beat all four other men and I WILL be the KING of the Mountain. Fitting isn't it?
-[Jay Wyatt]- What is?
-[Lucas King]- This being a King of the Mountain match. Who better to win it than an actual King?
-[Jay Wyatt]- I guess I didn't even think about that. Before we continue on about this match. How does it feel to be a part of the MPW, which is quickly growing into one of the biggest wrestling organizations in the world?
-[Lucas King]- It's like a dream come true. It's almost surreal at times. Competing in the same ring and in the same company as some of the greats is amazing. Watching some of these guys compete makes you want to improve your own skills so that you can one day get to the same level that they are on. Which is definitely one of my biggest goals in the wrestling industry.
-[Jay Wyatt]- Which is?
-[Lucas King]- To be the best of the best. To have everyone watching me and wanting to be me. And at the same time having everyone target me and want to take what I have. I know I'm a long ways away from that stage but I will continue to work hard so I can one day get to that elite level and say that I am one of the best to ever do it. It all starts this coming Thursday at Ruthless Assault in my first ever title shot.
-[Jay Wyatt]- You've been here for about a month now. Have you made any friends or enemies?
-[Lucas King]- I haven't made any enemies yet. It is still early though and I feel like I'll have plenty of time to do that. As far as friends goes I think we both know that there are a lot of things that go on backstage that aren't seen on TV and by the outside world. I've made a few alliances, I don't know if I'd call them friends yet though.
-[Jay Wyatt]- Which brings us to basically your first Pay Per View here in Millenium Pro Wrestling. Ruthless Assault has one of the best cards we've seen in a long time. Is there any match that you're looking forward to?
-[Lucas King]- You mean besides my own?
-[Jay Wyatt]- Yes...
-[Lucas King]- I guess I'd have to say either the World Title match or the X-Core Title match...
-[Jay Wyatt]- Why's that?
-[Lucas King]- They both are matches where two teammates will be forced to compete against each other for a title. In the X-Core Title match we have two AOA members in Kuk Killswitch and Chris Cable. Will they put it all on the line? Will one of them take it easy on the other? After one wins will the other be able to put the hard feelings aside and still be able to work together? I keep hearing that Age of Arrogance is taking over but at Ruthless Assault they're going to have to worry about each other more than they have to worry about others. WIll they make it through? And if they do will they still be as strong as they claim to be now?
-[Jay Wyatt]- What about the World Title match?
-[Lucas King]- That ones probably even more interesting because you have AOA members vs. AOA member but at the same time you have boyfriend vs. girlfriend. Will Bliss let her boyfriend and leader of the AOA win? Will Drake let his girl win so she can get what she oh so covets? There are so many questions associated with that match it's not even funny. What happens if Drake wins? Will Bliss have hard feelings? Will she dump him, and AOA for that matter? Same goes for him. He's the so called leader of Age of Arrogance but what happens if he loses to Bliss? Will he be able to handle that? The fact that his girlfriend is better than him and holds what he's fought so hard for? Will he kick her out of AOA? Will they continue they're relationship? It's like a damn soap opera if you ask me and after I win the TV Title, which I will, I'm going to sit back, grab some popcorn and enjoy one hell of a show. Because no matter what happens I'm sure it's going to be one hell of a night and I'm sure it will keep all of us very entertained.
-[Jay Wyatt]- Those are some interesting insights on those matches. I think everyone will be tuning in to see how things work out in those matches between the members of AOA. Let's get to your big match at Ruthless Assault on Thursday where you will go up against Shaun Cross, Taufik, Jason X, and TV Champion Tyler Rose in a King of the Mountain match. What do you know about the King of the Mountain match?
-[Lucas King]- At the moment I only know a little bit about it but I am working on learning everything there is to know about it and plan on watching all the past matches like it or close to it. I will be prepared come Ruthless Assault.
-[Jay Wyatt]- Let's go ahead and start talking about your opponents for the match and we will start with Shaun Cross. Do you know anything about Cross?
-[Lucas King]- I know that he is the only other person in this match besides me who hasn't won the TV Title, or any title for that matter. Me and him look to go in and become a champion for the very first time. I've seen Cross in action and he's not half bad. He just doesn't seem like the kind who can get the job done against one guy much less against four other guys who are obviously better. I know it's probably too early to say I'm better than him but I am. I haven't proved it yet but I will soon enough. I know that at Road To Glory Cross had a chance to win the TV Title and he fell short as Tyler Rose ended up winning the match. So that makes two straight pay per views that Cross will be going for the MPW TV Title and you straight pay per views that Shaun Cross will fail to win the title. I almost feel bad for the guy. If he can't win it this time then where does he even go from there? I have to admit that being in a match like this, with so many people, isn't really the same as losing one on one. Which is another reason he has no chance. Maybe, just maybe, if this thing was a one versus one contest he would be able to beat that one person and walk out as champion. But beating 4 other guys? No chance that happens.
-[Jay Wyatt]- Don't you think you're selling Cross short here? A lot of people are saying that he will walk out as the new TV Champion at Ruthless Assault.
-[Lucas King]- I'm just going off what I know. I know that Cross is basically the weakest link in this grouping if you go just based of achievements. I know that you can't always judge it that way because if you did then you could go ahead and count me out of this match as well. The thing is I think I'm better than every single person in this match. No...I know I'm better. I will one day go down as one of the best wrestlers the MPW has ever seen meanwhile most of these guys cap is possibly being the best TV Champion of all time. I have a lot more I want to accomplish after I'm done with this division meanwhile I'm not sure how many of these other guys will ever even make it out of this division.
-[Jay Wyatt]- A little cocky today?
-[Lucas King]- Sorry...I had some Wheaties this morning and that shit always makes me more confident. But what you call cocky I call confident. What do you want me to do? Come out here and say that I'm going to lose this match? Come out and say that I'm way too inexperienced to beat these guys? Hell no I'm not going to come out here and say those things. For two reasons. One because I'm not that type of person. I think I'm going to win no matter what the situation is and no matter what obstacles I have to overcome. And second because it would be a flat out lie. I know damn well that I can compete with these guys. Don't worry though, I'll be a fighting champion. I will give anyone a shot at the belt anytime they want it as long as they give me a weeks notice at least.
-[Jay Wyatt]- Alright well let's go ahead and move on to the next of your four opponents. You will also be going up against a former Tag and TV Champion in Taufik who looks to become the first 2 time TV Champion. Any thoughts on Taufik?
-[Lucas King]- You mean the guy that nobody can really even understand?
-[Jay Wyatt]- Yeah...
-[Lucas King]- What's there to say about this guy? We actually teamed together a few weeks ago and got the victory so I can't hate too much. Do I think he has a chance to be the first ever two time TV Champion? Maybe. Will it be at Ruthless Assault? Hell no. At Ruthless Assault we will see a brand new TV Champion. But when I'm done with the belt I'm sure that Taufik might be able to win it again and become a two time champion seeing how he will still be in the same division by then meanwhile I will be moving onto bigger and better things. I'm interested in seeing what Taufik will have to say about me, or more so if I will be able to understand whatever it is he will say about me. Either way there are no hard feelings in this thing. I'm going to come in and do my job and after its all said and done I won't give a shit about any of these guys especially Taufik. I hear he goes by "The Savior"...is that true?
-[Jay Wyatt]- That and The Franchise, yes.
-[Lucas King]- What exactly has he been saving? I really can't understand people and they're nicknames these days. I'm sure he thought it sounded cool to be "The Savior" and "The Franchise" but if this guy is supposed to be our savior then we are all royally fucked. And if he's a franchise then it's got to be the worst piece of shit franchise ever. I'm actually pretty sure he doesn't know what either of those words really mean and that he just thought they sounded cool because the only person in this match with any chance of being a franchise is me!
-[Jay Wyatt]- That brings us to another former TV Champion and a guy you beat last week, Jason X. Do you think you will be able to beat him again this week?
-[Lucas King]- Of course I will. Not sure if you remember but he was also in the tag match that Taufik and I were in a few weeks ago. So if you think about it I've beaten this guy twice since I've been here. If you think about it I own this guy. If it wasn't for me joining he would be well on his way to possibly becoming a two time TV Champion and now he's having to share his glory with a bunch of other guys and on top of that he has to deal with a guy who he's obviously not better than in me. I've beaten him over and over again to the point where I'm sure he's thinking about it. I almost feel bad for the guy but at the end of the day, in this business, it's always about taking care of yourself. I have no time to worry about or feel bad for other people.
-[Jay Wyatt]- So you think Jason X has no chance of winning the King of the Mountain match?
-[Lucas King]- I wouldn't necessarily say he has no chance at all but I will say he has as good of a chance as the rest of these guys do and it's not a good one. I'm the type of guy who always thinks about odds and who has the best chances of winning and what gives them the best chance of winning. If you were to take me out of this match then Jason's odds would jump through the roof. He would be one of my favorites to win this thing, and if I were going to bet, I would have probably put my money on him. However, unfortunately for him, I am in the match and that brings his and everyone else's odds of winning down a great deal. I'm sure some people won't like the way I'm up front about things but that's just who I am. I'm not going to sit here and sugarcoat it just because I'm a nice guy. I'm a realist. I'm going to be real about everything. Plus, if you think about it, it would be fucked up of me to give these guys some fake hope. And I'm sure all of these guys will be just as confident as me and maybe even more so. They should at least. I've yet to accomplish anything of substance in my career yet meanwhile all of these guys are more experienced than me in every way. This is my first title shot meanwhile these guys have probably had multiple title shots. They've been in the gym longer. They've been in a ring longer. If anything I should be the underdog in this match. A throw in.
-[Jay Wyatt]- So you think they put you in the match because they needed someone else in it?
-[Lucas King]- I think its possible. That and the fact that I did just beat one of the top contenders one on one in a fair match. I think if these guys aren't as confident as me then there is something wrong with them. In this business you have to believe in yourself because if you don't then nobody else will. Nobody is going to go out there and win this match for me; I'm going to have to go out there and win it by myself.
-[Jay Wyatt]- That brings us to the current MPW TV Champion Tyler Rose who won the title last pay per view when he beat Jason X for the title. What makes you think you will be able to end his title reign this Thursday?
-[Lucas King]- I have to. It's as simple as that. There's no other way for me to look at this thing. I'm not going to go into this thing and think I'm not going to win. I have to win. It's the only option as far as I'm concerned because if I can't win this match, and this title, then maybe I'm not as good as I think I am and maybe I don't have as big of a future here as I thought I did. Tyler Rose is an interesting guy but nothing about him screams champion to me. Nothing about him shows that he has what it takes to hold onto that belt after he won it. Maybe if he just had to defend it against Jason X then he would possibly be able to squeak out a win but even then I'm not sure if the guy would have successfully defended. I just don't think he has what it takes. I think he's the type of guy who was happy to just win the belt. Unlike me who not only wants to win the belt but wants to go down as the best champion the belt has ever seen.
-[Jay Wyatt]- So you don't think that Tyler will be able to rise to the occasion and pull out one of the toughest title defenses in MPW History?
-[Lucas King]- I really don't. And it's almost not even a knock on him. You just said it yourself. This is literally one of the toughest title defenses a guy could possibly have. It doesn't get any tougher than this. This is a match where anything can happen. There are so many different people and so many different variables that it would be impossible to predict how this thing will go. I really don't mind Rose and think he could be a cool guy. He might be a good guy to get a beer with or something like that. Is he the type to go to any lengths to win this King of the Mountain match and really earn that belt? I don't think he is.
-[Jay Wyatt]- And you are?
-[Lucas King]- I believe so. I've always believed in myself and I'm not going to stop now whether I'm inexperienced or not. I hate losing and will do everything in my power not to. If I do somehow lose this match I will make sure that everyone knows exactly who I am and that everyone knows that I have a bright future here. I'm just beginning to scratch the surface but at the same time I'm hungry and I want that TV belt more than I've ever wanted anything in my life. So, as the gambler I am, I'm going All In...
-[Jay Wyatt]- Well thank you for your time Lucas and good luck on Thursday in what will no doubt be one hell of a match.
-[Lucas King]- Thanks Jay. It was nice talking to you.
(((They shake hands and then Lucas walks into his locker room as it fades to a commercial break.)))
-[Jay Wyatt]- Lucas King. Just the man I was hoping to talk to. I'm Jay Wyatt and I...
-[Lucas King]- I know who you are and what you want Wyatt.
