What a show, Ruthless Assault was for the most part great. The Varsity had a great night overall and proved why the NGS had no place in the MPW. For the last month it was building and this past Thursday it came to a head and Brandon and his boys were sent packing. Great night all around.
Next up, the Varsity is taking some time off. With Emi needing some R&R The varsity is taking a backseat for a few weeks as I focus on my own personal growth as I look to gain my first title. The TV Title is in my sights.
Some may ask, why not go for the X-Core still, or even battle it out for the Sin City Championship? TO you I remind you of the prestige of the TV Title. I have always believed, even more so then the Heavy weight title, your best wrestlers, your most consistant, are TV Champions.
I am looking for a challenge worthy of my talents and sure I could go face Drake and the AOA for the Heavyweight title, and I will, but for now I want to prove I am the best with a title that is designed for the best. The TV title is defended way more often then the quote unquote big titles. Anyone can stay champ with a 30+ window between defenses. I don't want to be that guy.
To that end Lucas King, be ready I am coming for my title and there is not a thing you can do about it. That brings me to my first step in claiming my title. My first well lets be nice and call him a speed bump. JasonX. Mr. Xtreme, the Star.
Jason, lets be honest here, I've seen your matches, I've scouted you as a talent to prepare. I must admit there are flashes of potential greatness. You have skill, its very raw and mostly undefined, but its there. Unfortunately talent and luck won't get you past this week. I just spent the past month taking on a far more polished wrestler in Brandon Nytrus and we all know how those matches turned out.
Jason you are my first step to claim my title in the MPW. You have skill but you need to learn a few lessons before you can hope to win against me in any ring. This Thursday I will teach you the first of those lessons. Listen and learn them well as you are now enrolled in the school of Hard Knocks. Welcome JasonX, to Beat-U.

[Scene opens up inside the Beat-U Gym. Gabe is scene working on a weight set. Their are still a few boxes but the gym overall is looking near completion. Jeff McGuiness is standing spotting for Gabe.]
Gabe: Thanks Jeff, I really appreciate you helping me out.
Jeff: Hey no problem kid, spotting is pretty easy work. [Jeff smiles as he talks.]
Gabe: heh, no I mean coming back and teaching.
Jeff: Hey I should be thanking you. You took a down on his luck nearly a hobo and gave him a job.
Gabe: C'mon near hobo? You are a riot Jeff. You deserve to be here. I remember watching you wrestle some classic matches.
Jeff: Now you're making me feel old kid.
Gabe: Sorry. Did you get the paperwork from Jerry?
Jeff: Yea, nice guy doesn't say much. I will have it back this week.
Gabe: No rush. I want you to start the rotation in 2 weeks when the new class starts. Until then just hang out get to know everyone and help out where you feel comfortable. I really feel good about this place and am grateful you would lend your knowledge and talent here.
Jeff: No problem.
[Gabe Sits up and grabs a water bottle as Tasha Jordan approaches.]
Tasha: Hiya Gabe, figured I would find you here. Hows business?
Gabe: Hey, well the gym is doing well. Got some young talent already signed up for when the gym officially opens to new trainees in a few weeks.
Tasha: Nice, got time for an interview?
Gabe: Sure.
[Tasha straightens her dress out and touches up her hair as she directs the camera guy into position.
Tasha: I am here with Gabe Griffin who has graciously agreed to talk to me. Gabe How are you feeling about your move into the Television Division?
Gabe: I feel great. After taking care of the NGS I felt it was time to earn a little gold. I also thought what better gold to earn then the TV Title
Tasha: OK, and why the Television Title?
Gabe: Great question Tasha. So much emphasis in this industry goes into the Heavyweight title. I get it, and frankly I could go and win that no problems, I would then have it pretty cozy after that. Title Defenses once ever 30 or so days. limited competition based on arbitrary rankings. Sure that's the life style and why its the most coveted. Myself I want to hold a title that means I'm the best wrestler.
Tasha: And how does the TV Title do that?
Gabe: Glad you asked Tasha. The TV title is meant to be defended often. Traditionally anytime the Fed was on TV the TV Champion defended it. To hold the TV Championship for any length of time just proves how good of a wrestler you are. You have to be great to defend weak in and week out. Whats harder to do Tasha, winning once every 30ish days or winning every week?
Tasha: Well I suppose every week. I mean once in awhile isn't that tough.
Gabe: That's right. That's why I am excited because I get to show the world how great a wrestler I am, and this week I start with JasonX. Mr. Xtreme himself.
Tasha: That's right. What are your thoughts about your opponent?
Gabe: Well the kid has talent, its raw and undisciplined. Over all though not much competition for me. I do know he will be a better wrestler after spending time with me in the ring. So while I don't have my hope for him this week. He will be better moving forward. Well that is if he takes the lessons to heart and is willing to learn from the experience.
You see Jason, Its about consistency and hard work. hard work beats talent every time, but Talent with hard work, no that's a deadly combination. I can tell you will be there someday soon. Its like when I was raining my puppy as a kid. I could tell he wanted the treat wanted it real bad. So when I gave him a command though he wanted the treat but couldn't always figure out what needed to be done to get it. Then one day it all clicked for him now he sits on command without a treat.
Good luck this week Jason, your gonna need more then your skill to win. Thanks Tasha for this opportunity but I need to get some paperwork done.
Tasha: No thank you Gabe. Good luck this week.
