It’s tragic what happen in Colorado, it sucked that it happen and it should never happen. I hate the fact that the media is going to blow this out of proportion over a stupid fucker with mommy and daddy issues who wanted to express his anger by killing innocent people. I agree with stricter gun control but if he wanted to kill people just for the hell of it, he would have killed them one way or another. You can go on the internet now and days and find a way to build a bomb or napalm with objects that you have around the house. You can try to get rid of guns, then you should get rid of knifes, swords, or any other pointy object that can hurt or kill someone. Might as well get rid of dogs also because we can train them to kill people. And if someone really wanted to get a gun, they would still be able to get a gun. We do such an awesome job in the States of keeping weed and other illegal drugs out of our state, I’m sure that we’ll be able to keep guns out to right?
I can see the point where something should be done about gun control, and I don’t know why people need automatic weapons, machine guns, grenades, or anything more extreme than a handgun. It’s a slippery slope though with this topic.

Just heard about it on the radio over here, that's so awful that somebody would do something like that. Still, the people who do this sort of stuff don't care about laws, so i don't think gun laws are the trick. I think it's locking up these sort of people and sending messages to the others, that's the only way to rub out the sort of people who do this.

I get your guys points yes...if the guy was that mentally unstable then the would find another way to kill people but really if someone had a knife...he wouldn't have been able to kill 12 ppl because you need to be quick. with a gun the guy can stand far away and shoot. Just a couple weeks ago we had a shooting at a mall in Toronto and there weren't as many fatalities but a lot of people got hurt including a young kid and a pregnant woman. I guess because I know the difference between right and wrong I have a hard time understanding why people would go out and just kill random people...I have a hard time killing bugs myself. (unless it's a roach or a centipede...ewww gross) the old motto comes to mind...why can't we all just get along.  |

yeah this is just insane the way some people's mind works. How can someone even begin to get these thoughts of attacking random people. It's just messed up. And the fact that it's more commonplace now just shows humanity is going to hell. I think this is the 3rd big attack this week that I heard of. This one, Toronto mall, and there was some big shooting a bar in alabama I think.
Unfortunately there's no way to curb these issues. Stricter gun laws might help make it tougher for these nutjobs, but it won't deter them. Like it's mentioned so many easy ways to obtain a gun illegally these days
I think it's also sick it's got to a point where this type of incident doesn't come as a complete shock to me anymore...Seeing it on the news and natural reaction is damn there's another one. Obviously feel for the families and everyone involved, but at same time it doesn't catch you completely off guard as it would have years ago

actually we just had another shooting in toronto this last week and it was very close to both my best friend's place and my brother and sis's place. it's even scarier when it starts getting that close to home

All stricter gun laws do is make it harder for people who would actually use the guns to protect themselves. Especially in a country as large as the USA, where it's almost impossible to locate traffickers.

yeah it's very tough to stop, somehow they have to find a way to stop manics from getting there hands on firearms or any type of weapon
