Ah, now that was a relaxing week off. Got some golf in, caught a few extra Z's and what else, oh yea that's right, Stuck it to those morons at Idiots Anonymous. You see Trey, you are not as smart as you think you are. You tried really hard with this one and it was pretty good, but a secret is only a secret if you tell no one and since there were more then just You involved it didn't stay secret long enough.
I could spend days talking about how you failed but we don't have a match this week. Even if we did, you are barely worth my time to talk about. I had respect for you, but now, well not even worth it. Instead I need to focus my attention a little gnat that just won't go away. Jason we had our first lessons just a few weeks ago.
Now I thought then that you took those lessons well, that you would begin to see where Skill ends and pure will begins. This past week I thought I saw a glimmer of that talent you could be here in this fed as you beat Matt, it was Matt wasn't it? Sorry fellas I can't keep you two straight sometimes.
Anyways, you still haven't grasps the concepts yet little man. You have talent you have skill but you are not in my category. You call my win last time a fluke? That I somehow got lucky? Jason, Jason, Jason, have you not heard a word I have said? It takes more then skill, it takes more then talent, it is that desire that drive to succeed that puts me above you. You blame and make excuses but at the end of the day I won and you lost. Deal with it and move on or your whole career will be nothing more then an excuse.
This week I see no reason to think the outcome will be any different. Let me give a small prediction. The bell will ring, we
will face off, I will hit a few punches and moves you will hit a few yourself, you will get on a small roll, then Bam I will win, 1..2...3. Game over, sorry thanks for playing. I hope you take this second lesson to heart. You get your second semester in Beat-U this week and it won't be pretty.<promo>
[Scene opens with Gabe in his kitchen cooking. He is stirring soup. He checks the flavor adds a dash of salt and stirs a moment more before pouring the soup into 2 bowls. Next to the soup sits a few slices of what appears to be grilled cheese sandwiches]
Gabe: The ultimate cure for all that ails you. My moms Chicken soup and grilled cheese.
[Gabe carries the tray into a living room and Cami is sitting quietly on the couch. She flinches when Gabe enters the room]
Gabe: You OK?
Cami: Yea, just some flashbacky kind of stuff. I am really sorry for being so jumpy.
Gabe: You? Sorry? Cami, you just went through something traumatic. I personally see the strength you have that your not in a hospital.
Cami: I don't have much strength Gabe. This has taken a toll.
Gabe: I can imagine. Look you have been through a lot. I am here for you and will always be. I am sorry I let it happened and I didn't figure it out quick enough.
Cami: Don't, I am just glad you did find me and did figure it out. No one else seemed to notice or care.
Gabe: Others did, but with Emi getting hurt she was so far out of commission it was just me, but I know she cared and knew something was wrong.
Cami: I know, I am just tired. Mind if I just eat and go back to sleep. I am just not feeling up to all this.
Gabe: Whatever you need.
[The two eat and watch some TV as Cami falls asleep on the couch. Gabe covers her with a blanket and kisses her forehead lightly.]
Gabe: Sleep well Princess.
