[The scene opens on a platform out doors where the star spangled banner is being sung. When it is over the small crowd of mostly press claps and awaits Mayor Mike Bloomberg]
Mike Bloomberg: thank you Stephanie that was a great rendition of our national anthem. We are here today at city hall in New York City to pay tribute to a man that has been involved in the community for years. A man who makes it a point to put smiles on everyone's faces. He as a very busy travel schedule yet never fails to visit the local children's hospital and play Nintendo with the sick kids. This man exemplifies what the true meaning of hero is. Ladies and gentlemen I introduce to you wrestling Legend and Hall of Famer... Madd Katt
[The press claps quietly once again as Madd Katt walks up to the podium in a black suit and red shirt black tie. He shakes the mayors hand and smiles out to the press]
Madd Katt: Thank you Mr. Mayor. It’s been such a roller coaster of a ride but for it all to be honored right here today in front of my great city, there is nothing better.
[The press crowd claps a little more]
Madd Katt: Now when I started in this business many many years ago I was a nobody. I was just a scrawny little kid looking to make headway in his favorite sport. I never knew one day I would leave behind a legacy but that legacy stands for me today as you fine people of Manhattan, honor it.
[Madd Katt clears his throat and continues on]
Madd Katt: Now I know i’m not retired, though I have retired several times... I know this business reels you back in as quickly as you leave it. I know i’m not retired but I am getting up there. In October I will turn 43 years old and these old bones are hanging by a thread. That doesn’t mean I will stop at any cost until I get the price that I desire so much. That prize is none other than the MPW World Heavyweight Championship.
[Madd Katt makes a belt motion around his waste]
Madd Katt: You see, you people of NYC have seen me win over and over again and you saw me lose just as many times. But for gods sakes you deserve another one. I will retire one day but not until I have that one last title run. Not until i’m able to hold that gold over my head one last time and say I did it. That moment will happen in 8 days at Uprising, in the Elimination Chamber match
Madd Katt: Tomorrow night I will have to team with one of the other contenders in the Elimination Chamber Match, Bliss
[MK’s face turns in to a scowl of disgust]
Madd Katt: Bliss is one of those wrestlers that always gets her way no matter what and will always prevail out of tough situations by any means necessary. As much as we don’t exactly see eye to eye, i have a good feeling we will be the ones that walk in to Uprising in Boston with our head up and have the momentum going into the Chamber
[Madd Katt looks over to the people sitting in the seats on the stage]
