Last week I was put in what was probably my toughest match here in the MPW not including the King of the Mountain match. I got put in a match against a top talent, another champion, and I still came out on top. I still proved that I am unbeatable inside the squared circle as I got yet another win.
I've been here for months now and I still haven't been dealt my first loss. As a gambling man I don't know if I've ever been on a streak like this. It's something that the more I add to it the better it feels when I pull through and get the victory.
I used to be addicted to gambling. Now? Now the only thing I'm addicted to is winning. That is the ONLY thing that matters to me. That is why I am a valued member of Iconic Aggression. That is why I was hand chosen to be the third member. We have consistently proven over the past weeks how strong we are and how strong we can be.
Which brings me to Uprising this week. My second ever MPW TV Title defense and lucky for me it comes against somebody who has had a problem with Iconic Aggression since day one. Gabe Griffin. This Beat-U jerk off seems to think he's better than us. He seems to think he can throw some lame insults at us and that makes him better than us.
You know what makes us better than you though? Winning. We win at a higher rate than anyone else. We hold all the power because we hold almost all the gold. People might sit back and pretend like they don't want to be us, but we all know they do. Everyone wants to be at the top of they're profession and that's exactly what we are.
Meanwhile Gabe Griffin hasn't done a damn thing here in the MPW despite being here for longer. He doesn't really deserve a shot at my title either but I've always said I'm a fighting champion and don't mind defending against anyone.
Recently Gabe faced off against my stable mate and was beat pretty easily by my boy Trey Baxter. This week is going to be just like that all over again. This week he's going to finally realize that he just doesn't belong in the ring with Iconic Aggression. I wouldn't be surprised if he tried to join us after the beating I give him. After all, if you can't beat them...join them.
The only problem with that is you can't just join Iconic Aggression. You have to be chosen. You have to be elite. And Gabriel Griffin isn't even close to that. He's not a champion now and he won't be a champion after Uprising. No matter what he wants to tell himself. You can be as persistent as you want but at the end of the day talent is what wins out and I have so much more talent than you it's not even funny.
I am the greatest TV Champion this company has ever seen and I'm going to prove it at Uprising. MY Event...
(((The scene opens up to outside the Iconic Aggression locker room where MPW TV Champion Lucas King is standing with Jay Wyatt.)))
Jay Wyatt: Hello everyone, I'm Jay Wyatt, and I'm here with the current MPW TV Champion Lucas King. Thanks for letting me get the interview champ.
Lucas King: Let's just get this thing over with. I've got a lot to do.
Jay Wyatt: No problem, we'll just right into this. Recently a lot of people have been claiming that you do whatever Trey and Jackson tell you. Gabe even claimed that you were they're lap dog. Any comments?
Lucas King: I think Gabe is an idiot. I'm not going to come out here and say that I'm they're equal, because I'm not. I know that. I know that Trey Baxter and Jackson Blaze are the best wrestlers this company has possibly ever seen. I know I haven't reached even close to that yet. I'm new to the wrestling business and I feel honored just to be mentioned in the same breath as those guys. I've learned so much over the last few weeks that it's scary. I'm becoming a better wrestler every single day because of them and I wouldn't trade it for anything. If people want to talk shit they can. All I know is that I'm going to be the best damn TV Champion this company has ever seen. What comes after that I'll worry about later on.
Jay Wyatt: Your second title defense is against up and comer Gabe Griffin. He claimed that his persistence would be what got him over the top and what wins him the TV Title. Do you think he's persistent and do you think it will pay off?
Lucas King: I really don't care what he is. He can be as persistent as he wants but at the end of the day I know I'm better than him. I'm not saying I'm the best wrestler in the world. Because I'm not. I am saying that I am the best wrestler in the TV Title division and it's not even close. He may be persistent but I'm CONSISTENT. I have consistently beaten everyone that's been put in the ring with me. I have a better record than Gabe even though he's been here longer. I've had the better career than Gabe, even though he's been here longer. I'm undefeated going into this thing and nothing that Gabe can say or do is going to change that.
Jay Wyatt: What's next for you if you do beat Gabe? Will you look up to move up in the rankings and compete for other titles?
Lucas King: Eventually, yes. For right now though I'm worried about one thing and one thing only.
Jay Wyatt: Which is?
Lucas King: Being the best TV Champion this company has ever seen. To do so it all starts by successfully defending my title once again, this time against Gabe Griffin. That way I can shut him up and take one step closer to being the best TV Champion the MPW has ever seen. After I do that then I'll worry about what's next for me. Right now I'm just enjoying the ride.
Jay Wyatt: Thank's Lucas and good luck in your match at Uprising...
Lucas King: I won't need it...
