Is Iconic Aggression One Big Orgy?
Scene 1:
[/center]Scene 1:
Rickie O’Rourke: What is up St. Paul, I’m Rickie O’Rourke and this Stevie Marks and this is is 98.2, The Flash.
Some instrumental that announces what station it is again.
Rickie O’Rourke: Alright so as most of you may know, the Pro Wrestling giants, MPW, are rolling into town this week to perform their weekly show, Thursday Night Takedown, featuring this week is a main event from the history books. The MPW World Heavyweight Champion against the red hot Brandon Nytrus. With us today is the man himself, Brandon Nytrus.
Brandon: Good to be here guys.
Rickie: Glad to have you. Now, let’s get a little inside on you for the fans of the show that don’t really know you. Where were you born?
Brandon: South Boston, Massachusetts.
Rickie: Now from what I hear, that’s pretty tough neighborhood isn’t it?
Brandon: It is. My dad and my mom were born in raised in Massachusetts and we moved to the nice part of Southie. From there it started to get pretty nasty. My brother, sisters and I were constantly picked on. I got into fights all the time.
Stevie: So I assume that’s why you got into wrestling?
Brandon: Well that and that my dad did it for so long and I’ve been a huge fan for years so I really wanted to do it for my life so I kind of just followed in my dad’s footsteps.
Stevie: So, this match this Thursday has a ton of hype. How do you plan on dealing with that? I mean, everyone is talking about it and everything. How do you deal with it?
Brandon: It’s actually simple, really. I tune everyone out. I rarely leave my hotel room alone. I’m usually with Johnny and Chrissy. It’s just more of getting everyone out of my head before the match. It’s the same thing as when I was going up against Kuk at Unsanctioned a couple months ago. There was so much hype around that match and I just kind of tuned everyone out.
Rickie: And you won that match, right?
Brandon: I did. I won the X-core Championship that night. Only to lose it like six days later. But nonetheless.
Stevie: You seem pretty casual with that whole idea. I mean, you had the shortest reign in the company’s history and you don’t seem to frazzled by it.
Brandon: Well it’s just because that’s all I hear about. When Jackson or Trey get on Twitter and try to bad mouth me, that’s all they have. They can’t use my skills against me either. I’ve given most of these guys the fights of their lives. And they don’t really care. I don’t have a problem with it because it’s just them being ignorant and stupid but I just really throw that to the side. When someone wants to make fun of me, they use the title argument. And some of these guys are the ones who haven’t had a title shot since this they got here.
Rickie: Alright, onto the next thing we need to cover. It’s the match this week. You and Trey have had a pretty storied past. Care to talk about it?
Brandon: Sure, well. When I first got on to the MPW roster I sought out to make a name for myself. I had already done a pretty good job with that when I was on Step Up… Remember that show?
They laugh.
Brandon: Well, anyway… I got on Twitter and thought, what better to make a name for myself than to verbally attack the champ? So I did that. And we kept going back and forth, back and forth until MPW’s head offices hear and saw the entire thing. So, they booked it. Trey Baxter vs. Brandon Nytrus for the MPW Championship on Thursday Night Takedown. Or was it Monday Night Mayhem? Whatever it was, we fought on a show. I had lost both bouts. But Trey said himself, though he’ll never admit it, that I gave him a run for his money and I almost did beat him. That there is how I made a name for myself. That’s when I really earned the right to call myself an MPW Wrestler. And since then, we’ve just kind of been feuding backstage and on Twitter. And now, I get to kick his tiny ass all over the ring. And then kick his ass at Goldrush.
Stevie: That’s something I’ve been wondering myself. You returned at Uprising and attacked Jackson. Then for the past couple of weeks you’ve been chasing the Sin City Championship, but then the front office gave you a #1 Contendership opportunity this week for the World Title… I’m just confused.
Brandon: Listen, if there’s one thing I know about MPW’s front office, it’s that they always have a plan. They always know what to do and how to do it. Bob Herman is a smart man. He always has a plan.
Rickie laughs.
Rickie: Bob Herman: The Man With A Plan.
Stevie: Okay, we’re going to take phone calls for questions here for the Icon. Call 1-800-32-FLASH. That’s 1-800-32-FLASH. We have Tony in his car, Tony you’re on air with Stevie and Rickie on the Flash… Go!
Tony: Hey guys how are ya? Brandon, I have a question. Does your past with Trey have an impact on how you prepare for this match? Because you’ve faced him twice before one on one, once in a single and then once in a ladder match. Does that help with your planning?
Brandon: Yeah. For every opponent I have faced before, I watch the video tapes and see what I did right and wrong. Its just kind of what every guy does. I just look a little more intently.
Rickie: Eric in Minneapolis, you’re live. Go!
Eric: Hey this is more of a question for Stevie and Rickie, why don’t you have someone from this company that matters like Trey or Jackson instead of this douche?
Brandon: Because they’re too a little too tired from banging each other all night. Do you have a question that matters?
Silence.
Stevie: Haha, wow! Okay, final caller, Jerry. Go!
Jerry: Hey Brandon. Just wanted to say I’ll be in the seats on Thursday and all of the real wrestling fans will be cheering you on.
Brandon: Right on, brotha. Right on.
Rickie: That’s all we have for today. Thanks Brandon for being on the show and best of luck to ya on Thursday.
Brandon: Thanks for having me guys.
Stevie: We’ll be back after these messages.
Scene 2:
The scene opens up on Brandon on a couch in a hotel room. He’s watching video from the two matches that he and Trey fought in. He keeps rewinding and fast forwarding to parts he needs to watch more. Suddenly, Nikki comes through the bathroom door in a bathrobe. She sits on the bed behind him and starts to rub his shoulders.
Nikki: Babe, you’ve been watching these videos for hours now. Why don’t you come and relax with me.
Brandon: Nik, I can’t. I have to study for this match. This is huge for me.
Nikki sighs and lies back on the bed. She picks up her phone and begins to browse. Over the top of her phone, she watches Brandon’s tapes.
Brandon (mumbling): Fast, good with his legs…
Nikki giggles softly, but loud enough for Brandon to hear it.
Brandon: What?
Nikki says nothing and tries to hold in laughter. Brandon turns and smiles.
Brandon: What’s so funny?
Nikki: Nothing… I just love when you talk to yourself.
He smiles and sighs. He crawls up the bed and kisses her.
Brandon: I’ll be in bed in a minute. Let me finish up with this tape.
She nods and he goes down to the end of the bed. There’s a phone call. He looks at it and picks up excitedly.
Brandon: No shit… Can it be!? Is it “The Show” himself?
Chris Radke: You know it, big guy.
Brandon: How the fuck are you, bro? It’s been so long.
Chris: I’m fine, been working with some indie scenes. Traveling. You know.
Brandon laughs.
Brandon: Oh, I know. So what’s up? Why’d you call?
Chris: Well, I’ve been keeping up with MPW recently and I saw you guys are gonna be in St. Paul?
Brandon: Nik and I are here right now.
Chris: Well, guess who’s on his way to Minneapolis and will have Thursday through Saturday to spend some time in St. Paul?
Brandon: No shit… Really?
Chris: Fuck… Yeah. I’ll be up Thursday morning and stay through until Saturday night.
Brandon laughs and smiles widely. He looks to Nikki in amazement.
Brandon: Nik, Chris is gonna be in St. Paul and he’s gonna come hang with us.
Chris: How is the wifey?
Brandon: Good!
Chris: I haven’t seen her since the wedding. Well, both of you for that matter.
Brandon: Shit man… It’s gonna be awesome. I’ll get you front row. No worries. What a week to come to… You’ll be able to see me beat the shit out of Trey Baxter.
Chris: Damn right, and I’ll be coming to see you win that title at Goldrush too.
Brandon: Fuck yea man.
He looks at Nikki. She yawns and stands up and takes off her robe. She’s only in a bra and panties. Brandon smiles as she crawls under the covers.
Brandon: Yeah… Listen dude. I’ll call you tomorrow. I have things to deal with right now. Alright… Cool… Bye.
He hangs up and crawls under the covers with her. He kisses her on the head.
Nikki: Mmm, I haven’t seen you that excited in a long time. You were like a kid in a candy shop.
Brandon: It’s just been forever since I’ve seen the kid. I’m excited.
Nikki: I can tell.
Brandon turns out the lights and then grabs Nikki and holds her.
Brandon: Goodnight, Nik. I love you.
Nikki: I love you too, sweetie.
The scene fades out to black.
Scene 3:
The scene opens up on Brandon Nytrus with Jay Wyatt in front of a white brick wall. Brandon is shirtless and is wearing sweatpants.
Jay Wyatt: Ladies and gentlemen, welcome. I’m Jay Wyatt here on this MPW.com special with none other than “The Hardcore Icon” Brandon Nytrus. Brandon… This week you go up against one of your long time rivals, The MPW World Heavyweight Champion, Trey Baxter. You seem to be in quite the feud with Iconic Aggression nowadays.
Brandon: Listen Jay, these three guys think they’re the best. And at the moment, they are. They are at the top of MPW and have every single championship there is to offer here. But there’s something they’re all forgetting. There are guys out there who are ready to take them from them and are ready to dismantle every single chance they have at retaining anything. Their titles may show they are good. But they’re not the best. Trey Baxter thinks he’s the best in the world. But yet he has to cheat and bitch and moan to get what he wants. He can cheat and do whatever this week, but when it comes down to it? When I step in that ring, I don’t leave until a fair match has ended. I know I’ve had my share of cheating. But this time, Trey is going down fair and square.
Jay Wyatt: Do you have any concern with the rest of Iconic Aggression coming down and interfering with your match?
Brandon: I’m expecting all of them to come down and try to cheat one way or another. But am I worried about it? Absolutely not. All these guys will do is come in and try to cheat and possibly succeed at doing so. But it only proves my point right. These guys will see what I’m all about. Hell, my last two matches haven’t ended in pinfalls. None of them have pinned or submitted me with the exception of Trey when he had pinned me way back. If they interfere and I lose, I’ll be angry. Very angry. And those guys are all going to have to deal with an angry giant. And that’s definitely something you don’t want.
Jay Wyatt: Last question… Any updates on Chrissy Starr’s condition?
Brandon: Chrissy is doing fine. Johnny and I visited her last week and she’s feeling better. We keep in touch as much as possible and she’ll be better sooner rather than later.
Jay Wyatt: Any last words?
Brandon: Trey… You’ve met your match. It’s time for me to prove that I’m better than you. And that Iconic Aggression is beatable. I’ll see you Thursday.
The scene fades to black as Brandon walks away.
