”It is easier to resist at the beginning than at the end.”

***The MPW camera opens up to a desert, the sun dancing in the moving air. As the camera turns, the sand and plant life appear to be alone in the world, except for the occasional vulture flying low, looking for it’s next meal. But under the surface of the sand lay many dangers. The camera continues to turn, eventually stopping on a large black bus, parked in the middle of a lonely dirt road. After a moment, the passenger side door opens, and out walks Samuel, followed by the MPW Gold Rush Champion Clay. The men walk to the middle of the bus, and turn towards the camera. The camera zooms on The Night Terrors, still dressed in their standard black attire even with the burning sun beating down on them, and Samuel begins to speak...***
Samuel: Welcome to the Sonoran Desert, south of Phoenix, AZ, where the first ever episode of MPW Sunday Night Reloaded will take place. Now, you may be asking yourself, why exactly would anybody in their right mind venture out to the middle of the Sonoran Desert? To answer that, what better place for The Night Terrors to spread their message of truth than one of the most dangerous places in the United States? What better place to preach the about power than a place that can leave you powerless, begging for a mere drop of water just survive another minute. What more beautiful place is there to talk about the destruction coming to the MPW? But first, lets talk about Gold Rush...
While “MPW Management” decided that I needed the week off, Clay received an opportunity to show the world our power. And not only did Clay make good on that opportunity, he exceeded expectations. Because not only did Clay nearly tear off the arm of Gabriel Griffin, AND defeat Adam Steele in singles competition for the second time, but he nearly crippled Taufik to take the the crown as the MPW Gold Rush Champion. Three men fell to the might of my brother, and yet, at the end of the night, by brother’s achievement was overshadowed by the birth of a new force here in the MPW...
Clay: After the main event, White Mask finally revealed the identity behind the mask. And that reveal, while “highly anticipated”, was ultimately disappointing to those of us who can see the truth. The Resistance, as they call themselves, revealed themselves to the world, looking to take the reigns back from Iconic Aggression. Gabriel Griffin, Chrissy Starr, Brandon Nytrus, Johnny Clash, and the returning Roxi Johnson tried to make a huge impact, an attempt that they ultimately failed at...
Don’t get me wrong, they are a force to be reckoned with, if not in ability than in sheer numbers alone. However, who decided this was the crew to take back the MPW? Who decided that This was the group that could finally defeat Iconic Aggression? I mean, Gabriel Griffin may never be able to use his left arm after I basically tore it from his shoulder socket...
Samuel: Chrissy Starr, who has again and again failed against the likes of Jason X...
Clay: Brandon Nytrus, the seven foot monster whose mouth is bigger than even he is...
Samuel: Johnny Clash, who feels entitled enough to only show up in the MPW arena when he feels like it, even going as far as faking injuries to get out of the ring...
Clay: And Roxi Johnson, who decided to come back “home” to the MPW, one of the best “second tier” MPW Championship of all time. Now I don’t know about all of you out there, but The Resistance is a bit underwhelming, don’t you think?
Samuel: Underwhelming is putting it lightly Clay. Because a group that tries to shake the pillars of the world with a debut such as the one we saw at Gold Rush is nothing more than an obstacle for the true powers of the MPW. And those powers all pale in comparison to the power of darkness and fear that empower us. The Resistance, with only a mere debut, already pales in comparison to The Night Terrors. But before we get further into The Resistance, and their shortcomings, lets dive further into our setting for the day, the Sonoran Desert...
Just look out there at the desert. Full of life, but absent of pathetic humans who ruin the world by constructing skyscrapers and big chain stores like Wal-Mart and Costco. Each and every insect, reptile, and bird out here has it’s out prey it must hunt to survive, and it’s own predator seeking it out to in the cycle of life. Seriously, just look at the serenity out there...
***The camera turns back around to the desert, and through the emptiness in the desert, a quick hiss is heard. The camera starts moving back and forth frantically, searching for the source of the sound. After a few seconds, the camera moves down to the ground, and it reveals a rattlesnake. The man holding the camera jumps back, and runs away quickly, until he is grabbed by Clay. Clay stares into the camera, which is still shaking due to the cameraman’s fear. The cameraman slowly moves backward, until Clay and Samuel are in focus once again...***
Samuel: Now thats what I’m talking about. That three foot long snake, with one bite, would have brought you to the end of your rope, allowing the eternal nothingness of death to come forth and take you by the hand, leading you into the abyss. The desert is a wonderful place, isn’t it? Danger with every step, never knowing what you will come upon next. The heat weakening you with every step. But even better than the desert during the day, is coming here at night. As the darkness takes hold of the desert, only the moon and stars can guide your path. When you are blinded by the night, cooled by the freezing desert sky, that is when the monsters truly come out to play. That is when the evil entities come out from their daily hiding spots and take the world back from men...
Clay: As we have preached to all of you idiots out there that still ignore our message of the power of fear, including “MPW Management”, we embrace the darkness that fills this world each night. We are those very monsters that haunt your imagination each and every night. We are a force that can not be understood by the those who stand in our way. We are more powerful than any of our opponents could fathom...
Samuel: Still doubt that MPW? Just look at what we have done since our arrival. We have taken a family in Real Steele and tore them apart. We have made a mockery of the former Tag Team and Television Champion Taufik, beating him not once, not twice, but four times in less than two months. We took poor, innocent Emi Yamamoto and nearly broke her into pieces in which she would never be able to put about together again. And just this last Sunday, my brother proved that our power can overcome any number of obstacles in our path. Which brings us, “The Monsters of the MPW”, The Night Terrors, to Reloaded. On the very first episode of MPW’s Sunday Night Reloaded, The Night Terrors have finally been given the chance to move up the ladder, when we square off against two of the members of the newly formed Resistance. The new Sin City Champion, Brandon Nytrus, and “The World’s Greatest Diva” Chrissy Starr are going to step in that ring on Sunday, unprepared for the challenge that lays in front of them...
Clay: And why would they be unprepared Samuel?
Samuel: Oh I’ll tell you Clay. You see, when you step into that ring alone, you know you’re own strengths and weaknesses. You know each and every move you make will have an impact on the match. You know that as long as you prepare for your opponent, you have a chance to walk out with the win. But we aren’t stepping into the ring as lone wolves. In a tag team match, you must not only know your opponents, but also your partner. You must know every strength, every weakness, and all the ins and outs of your teammate. When we step into the ring, what does the world see Clay?
Clay: They see authenticity. They see a real team of monsters, prepared to steamroll each and every opponent that steps through those ropes...
Samuel: Exactly right. So how is it, that either Nytrus or Starr can be prepared for The Night Terrors already? How is it that The Resistance can do something that nobody else in the MPW as be able to? How can they believe that they can achieve victory against The Night Terrors? The answers, in order; They won’t, they can’t, and they don’t...
Clay: No matter what Chrissy Starr says to the MPW audience, or what Brandon Nytrus tells his wife and friends, they both know deep down that they are stepping into this match as the underdogs. They are stepping into this match unprepared. And they are stepping into this match as the weaker team...
Samuel: Dispute it all you want, but it doesn’t matter whether The Resistance is a two man operation, or a hundred soldier army. The Resistance is nothing more than a motley crew of misfit professional wrestlers that what the same thing. Hell, even if this plan has been around for months, the experience they have together is nothing but plotting, hiding their interactions with one another, hoping their secret isn’t spilled. The Resistance is force of sheer numbers and nothing more. Doubt us? Let’s break it down, shall we?
***The sun is starting to go down, and the sky has turned from a bright blue to a darker purple over the last five minutes. Samuel turns and moves past Clay and over to the door of the bus. After Samuel knocks, the passenger side door opens, and Samuel reaches inside. He comes back and the door closes behind him, bringing a manilla envelope and a handful of magnets. Samuel walks back to the middle of the bus, and opens the envelope. Clay watches on as Samuel places five 8” x 10” pictures unto the outside of the bus, each held up by a small black magnet. As Samuel steps back, the camera zooms in, revealing each of the pictures to be an MPW licensed photo of each member of The Resistance. The camera zooms back out, and Samuel is holding a large black sharpie. Samuel points to the first picture, and continues to speak...***
Samuel: First of all, you have Gabriel Griffin. The clear weak point of The Resistance. As we said, his shoulder was nearly tore out of it’s socket by Clay and Sunday, and honestly, he’ll never be the same. Maybe he’s been part of the plan held by The Resistance for a long time now, but as long as Griffin is part of the Resistance, they have a weakness plain as day sitting around for everybody to see. So should we worry about this man? I don’t think so...
***Samuel takes the lid off of the sharpie, and drops it to the sand of the desert. Samuel raises the sharpie and “X’s” out the picture of Griffin...***
Clay: And then we have Johnny Clash. Former MPW World Champion. One of the best in that have stepped into the MPW ring since it opened it’s doors. But, Johnny is a man that disappears, afraid to fight the way that my brother and I have been since we have got here. In fact, this is a man who lies to his so called fans, claiming that he wasn’t cleared to wrestle at Gold Rush, only to be part of the big Resistance reveal to end the pay per view. Johnny is a liar, and only cares about his fame and glory. Instead of proving night in and night out that he deserves to be mentioned among the greats of the MPW, he decides to pick his opportunities that best suit him. Is that really the kind of man that makes a good partner? I think not...
***Samuel uses the sharpie to “X” out the picture of Johnny Clash, and then picks up where Clay left off...***
Samuel: Next up, Miss Roxi Johnson, fresh faced from her recent vacation from the MPW. While not a former World Champion like Clash, Roxi is no slouch, and as a former Sin City and Television Champion, she is sure to be a bona fide competitor here in the MPW once more. But can Roxi truly be prepared for what is to come? While standing on the sidelines, how could Roxi see the evolution of the MPW by the hands of monsters? How could she know the power that The Night Terror possesses? How could Gold Rush’s big reveal ever be anything more than the beginning AND the end of The Resistance? Too many questions, not enough answers. Is that what makes a good partner? I think not Clay...
***Samuel crosses the picture of Roxi Johnson out with a “X” like the two before, and then turns back to the camera again...***
Samuel: And that leaves our opponents for this week, Miss Chrissy Starr and “The Hardcore Icon” Brandon Nytrus...
Clay: Now, Chrissy came here to the MPW around the same time as us, and to be honest, she received a lot of buzz, and she likely earned it with her pre-MPW career. But then one fateful Takedown, on June 27th, in Milwaukee, WI, that all changed. At the hands of Jason X, Chrissy was nearly defeated for good, injuring her neck and being powerbomb through a table. Hell, if not for Clash and Nytrus running down to the ring to make the save, Chrissy may not be with us any longer. And since that fateful night, what has happened to Chrissy? She has become just another filler in that locker room. Hell, she couldn’t even get past the first round of the Gold Rush Tournament, does she really think she belongs in the ring with men like her partner this week Nytrus, or especially undefeated monsters like my brother and I? I think not, and on Sunday, we’re going to prove that Chrissy, just like Gabriel Griffin, is just another weak link in the chain called The Resistance...
***Samuel turns crosses out the picture of Chrissy Starr with a “X” s as well, and then turns back to the camera one more time again...***
Samuel: That just leaves us with one man, Brandon Nytrus. The new Sin City Champion after defeating Chris Cable in a hellacious steel cage match at Gold Rush. Brandon should be proud, as this is the highlight of his time here in the MPW. And don’t get me wrong, Nytrus has had many highlights in his career, in both singles and tag action. What that is where the compliments stop, because one thing has become perfectly clear to us since we’ve arrived. Nytrus has relied on his brute strength to walk away with victories here in the MPW, a tactic that has been successful thus far. However, while I may not be a seven foot giant like Nytrus, there is one entity here in the MPW that can match the strength of Nytrus in the middle of the ring. That entity is the monster beside me, the Gold Rush Champion, Clay!
Clay: Nytrus, your reign as the biggest and baddest in the MPW will come to an end at Reloaded, because I can match anything you can do physically. However, when it comes down to it, you’re a family man, a man of the fans. You do the right thing because it’s what your heart tells you to do. While on the other hand, you will be staring across the ring at a monster of the dark, who enjoys causing pain and sorrow to his opponents. You will face a willpower that you are unable to match, whether you admit it to yourself or not. You may be “The Hardcore Icon”, but you’re not a monster. Not like me...
Samuel: Nytrus, before you step into that ring this Sunday, kiss your wife for the last time. Make sure she sees you for what you are now, because you will never again be the same. Make a video for your son, so he can see who Daddy was before he crossed paths with The Night Terrors. Because you’re the target this weekend. You are the one who gives The Resistance it’s hope. And as your friends watch the Sin City Champion fall beneath the darkness of The Night Terrors, The Resistance will never be the same. And that’s what this was all about, right. Providing the MPW with a strong team to take on groups like Iconic Aggression, right? But it’s easy enough to pull together like minded individuals to parade around in masks. The strongest point of The Resistance was before the unveiling of your identities. Now, you all have pissed off Iconic Aggression. Through your own bad luck, “MPW Management” decided to pit you and Chrissy against The Night Terrors. The Resistance will be picked apart, piece by piece, until nothing remains...
Clay: The Resistance is flawed, and we plan on showing the world that very fact on Sunday. Whether through the destruction of Chrissy Starr or Brandon Nytrus, The Resistance will soon be closer to it’s end than it’s beginning. And to be honest, we think you know it too Nytrus, deep down inside. You know that the weak links of The Resistance will eventually be stripped down, leaving only the cream of the crop. But by the time that happens, it will be too late. Everybody will know that The Resistance, no matter it’s number of members, can not hold up to the power of The Night Terrors...
***Samuel turns around once more, and crosses out the final picture of Brandon Nytrus with an “X”. Samuel then tosses the sharpie to the ground, and shakes his head looking at the pictures hanging before him. Samuel turns back around once again, and speaks...***
Samuel: I don’t know about you, but this doesn’t seem like a Resistance worth it’s weight to me. In fact, you look at these five, and no matter the impact they have left of the MPW locker room last night, that will pale in comparison to the Impact that “The Monsters of the MPW”, The Night Terrors will have as we defeat Chrissy Starr and Brandon Nytrus in the middle of the ring. We are a real force, unlike these frauds. We are the future MPW Tag Team Champions. We are the truth amongst all the lies spread to the MPW fans. We are the future of the MPW. There is nothing that The Resistance can do to stop it, not this week, next week, or anytime in the future. The night will end for us just as every other for The Night Terrors, with victory over the weak and pathetic who stand in our way, just like Chrissy Starr. Just like Brandon Nytrus. So everybody, please, tune in to Reloaded. We’d say we’re sorry to spoil the ending of our match, but that would be a lie. And we only tell the truth, whether you want to hear it or not...
***Samuel reaches back, and without looking away from the camera, pulls down the pictures off the bus, letting them slowly fall to the ground, until only Chrissy and Brandon’s pictures remain...***
Samuel: Doesn’t look like much of a Resistance, does it Clay?
Clay: Can’t say it does Samuel...
Samuel: Oh well, I guess we’ll just have to beat them like we have everyone else, and move one step closer to the MPW Tag Team Championships...
***Over the last few minutes, the sky begins to get a bit darker still. Samuel looks up to the sky, in which the moon can now visibly be seen. Samuel looks back at the camera, and smiles. Samuel nods at the bus to Clay, and heads back toward the bus. Clay moves over to the pictures of Brandon Nytrus and Chrissy Starr, grabs them with each hand, and crumples them in his massive hands. Clay laughs as he turns back toward Samuel, who is stepping into the now open bus. Clay walks toward the bus, steps in, and the door closes behind him. The camera moves back toward the bus, but before it can get to the door, the bus starts it’s engine, and slowly begins to pull away. The camera looks back up to the soon to be night sky, and back to the bus, before the cameraman speaks...***
Cameraman: What the hell?! GUYS, YOU’RE MY RIDE!!! DON’T LEAVE ME!!!!!!
***The camera falls to the sand, and a chubby white man begins to run after the bus, quickly losing ground on it. As the bus, and soon after, the cameraman fade out of the frame, a hissing is heard. After a moment of the hiss getting louder and louder, a rattlesnake comes into frame from behind the camera. The rattlesnake appears to the glaring into the camera, watching those who are watching it at that very moment. After a few seconds, the rattlesnake moves it’s head back slightly, the strikes at the camera, cutting off the feed to loud static. The feed from that point on slowly fades to black...............***
