The scene opens. A black Maserati is seen driving into the back entrance of the Staples Center Los Angeles, the location of this week’s MPW Reloaded. Flicking on its lights as it pulls into the underground parking lot, it swings round into a vacant parking space the thrum of its engine cutting as the ignition is switched off, and the occupant gets out.
Aeryn Ashfield climbs out of the drivers seat grabbing her gear bag from the passenger side, she slings the strap across her shoulder and shuts the car door behind her. Pressing the auto lock button on the keys as she walks off towards the arena. Through the double doors she walks along the corridor leading towards the locker rooms, silently acknowledging those that she passes with a nod until she reaches her designated room.
The room is in darkness as she enters. Aeryn reaches her hand out along the wall, her fingers fumble a little as she attempts to find a light switch. Something moves *Click*. She squints as her eyes adjust to the sudden swathe of fluorescent lighting brightening the room. She steps in letting the door swing shut and walks towards a metal chair sitting in the corner of the room, setting her bag down on it.
Aeryn removes her jacket and folds in over the arm of the small couch at the back of the room; sitting herself down next to it she leans back into the fabric, closing her eyes for a moment. Enjoying the silence, allowing herself the time to reflect.
She thinks back to last Sunday and her match with Laila. Remembering the noise of the fans screaming as she submitted to Laila’s leg lock, her hand tapping violently against the mat pleading with the ref for the bell. Her knee gives her a gentle throb in recollection of being twisted. A frown crosses Aeryns lips as she recalls the next phase of her evening and Laila attempting to put her out of action. Being hoisted up as if she were weightless, the fans booing their disapproval as she is unceremoniously dropped to the mat. Mostly unaware of what is happening around her until she looks up and sees Chrissy Star standing on the ropes across the ring.
Aeryn opens her eyes and leans forward, her elbows on her knees as her hands hang down loosely across her legs her face now a visible angry scowl, but not for Chrissy Star. She was still trying to figure that one out. But for Laila. Someone beating her in a match was one thing, but for them to so willingly and publicly try to end her career. That was something that she wasn’t going to stand for, not from anyone.
She stands and stalks from the room along the corridor, reading off locker room numbers and names as she passes, looking for her target. Every person she passes being asked the same question…”Where’s Laila?”…But non know the answer.
Turning a corner Aeryn comes across Jay Wyatt who approaches her in hopes of getting an interview.
Jay Wyatt: Aeryn Ashfield. This week teaming with Soul Shadow and MPW TV Champion Jason X to take on Chris Radke, Emi Yamamoto and number one contender to the TV title Taufik. Can I get your thoughts on being a part of this match?
Aeryn pauses for a moment trying her best to suppress her anger. Her mouth softening from its hard line, but her anger still burning behind her eyes.
Aeryn: To answer your question this is a huge match for me Jay. Having only recently stepped foot into the MPW and my third match in, I’m teaming with the TV Champion that’s a pretty big deal! Not to mention Soul Shadow that guy is a wrestling machine, and who much like my self is just retuning to the ring after a long hiatus, ten years if I’m not mistaken, and doing a pretty good job to I might add. But I don’t need to tell you about the ring prowess of my team-mates, with the gold strap residing on our side of the ring I’d say it pretty much speaks for it’s self.
But that’s not to say that we don’t have some pretty stiff competition. Oh no. I may not have been here that long but I pay attention and there are some big players on that team. Taufik, number one contender for the TV title and Emi, kicking it in the upper echelons of the MPW roster, I’ll be the first to say that they are not to be taken lightly. But just because someone is good doesn’t mean that there isn’t a chink in the armor waiting to be exposed, and after last weeks Resolution I think we all know where the weakness lies.
Jay Wyatt: Would you care to elaborate?
Aeryn: Now Jay are you asking me to give up secrets? That’s for my team to know, and believe me we all know. We may not seem like the most conventional unit, but there is one thing we all know how to do and that’s kick arse in that ring! Its been proven. All we need to do on Sunday is do it as a trio. As long as my team-mates let me do my thing, and stay out of my way while I’m in there rocking and rolling we’re not going to have a problem.
Jay Wyatt: Well Aeryn, good luck on Sunday and thank you for your time…
Aeryn grin and starts to walk away and then pauses turning back towards Jay, who seems a little perplexed. Aeryn reaches out and takes the microphone from Jays hand.
Aeryn: Excuse me Jay but I’m not quite done, just a little something that I need to get off my chest before I can fully concentrate on this weeks match.
Aeryns facial expression changes her usual soft relaxed features become hard and determined.
Aeryn: You see Jay, I have been looking for our resident Queen of Darkness and I cant seem to find her anywhere; no one in this building knows where she resides. It seems she only materialise’s when its time to get down to business. Well after last week, I feel I have some business to address with Laila, and seeing as she’d rather hide in a darkened room than face anyone. This is the only way to do it.
Laila. You stepping into a ring with me and beating me 1.2.3…I have no problem with, I’ll even applaud you for it. But after that, you want to try and end my career?! Well…That makes me want to break your face!
Ever since I have set foot in MPW I have tried to be nice to people and have a little fun, be a little goofy. But when you pulled that stunt and tried to end my career, well it made me re-evaluate my position. I should probably thank you in a way, because you have awoken the one thing that I have been missing since my return. I couldn’t put my finger on it until now but it’s finally come to me. I was missing the anger, the mean streak that I used to have. I was missing my driving force, and you Laila…you have given that back to me…and I cant thank you enough.
Now I have the fire in me to replay you for your act. I am coming for you. I don’t care if it takes a week, a month or a even year. I will find you in a ring, in the street, in that dark dark room you call home, and when I do I will have me revenge!
Aeryn hands the microphone back to Jay with some force, making him take a step backward. As she walks off.

A little later, Aeryn is making her way down towards the catering table, eager for a cup of coffee to help her relax. Looking up she sees Chrissy Starr standing near by, already in conversation. Aeryn slows her pace a little, waiting for the group to leave. As a few of them do she takes the opportunity and moves towards Chrissy, putting a hand on her arm to stop her walking away.
Aeryn: Hey…err…can I talk to you for a second?
Chrissy gives her a blank stare but walks away from her conversation to talk with Aeryn
Chrissy Starr: Yes? I am kind of busy here
Aeryn: Sorry, i don't mean to interrupt, but i really need an answer. Sunday at Reloaded what made you do what you did? Why did you chase off Laila?
Starr: Well too be completely honest it wasn't because I like you or want to partner up or anything like that. I have a reputation here of being the nice girl. I got walked all over and it didn't end well. I am a part of The Resistance now and that's what we do. We are the justice system here in MPW and we will continue to fight against bullies like Laila who think they can walk all over people like you... like I used to be.
Aeryn: Well that's just fine, it never once crossed my mind that it was because you wanted us to be BBF's. I assure you. I just like to know when i'm being used to highlight a cause...
Aeryn dismisses her last comment, checking the tone of her voice.
Aeryn: Sorry...i'm not very good at this but, thank you for helping. I could have lost a lot more than a match if you hadn't have turned up.
Starr: Well I appreciate the gratitude. Just stay on the right track and you will go far in this company. You don't want to run in to The Resistance.
Aeryn: Laila is the only thing on my radar right now, as long as we don't have conflicting interests the Resistance wont even know i'm there.
Aeryn smiles and turns away leaving Crissy to get back to her conversation. She moves off to get her coffee as the scene fades out.
