***The MPW camera opens up to the back of the Staples Center, in Los Angeles, CA, home of this week’s MPW Sunday Night Reloaded. The camera is zoomed in on the MPW’s own ace interviewer Tasha Jordan. Tasha is sitting on a brown leather couch, looking straight into the camera. After a moment, Tasha begins to speak…***
Tasha Jordan: Thank you for joining me ladies and gentlemen, as I have the privilege to bring you an interview with one half of the Number One Contenders to the MPW Tag Team Championships, Clay of The Night Terrors!
***The camera zooms out, and it picks up Clay, dressed in his standard black tee shirt and black jeans. Clay is sitting on a brown leather couch, almost identical to the one in which Tasha is sitting on. Between Clay and Tasha stands the MPW Gold Rush Trophy, sitting on top of a table between the two angled couches…***
Tasha Jordan: So Clay, I appreciate you taking this time only hours before Reloaded to give the MPW fans around the world an insight into your thoughts…
Clay: It’s really no problem Tasha, believe me, anytime that my brother or I get to see your pretty face is an opportunity we don’t want to pass up…
***Tasha’s face turns pale and fear fills her eyes as Clay mentions his brother. In a panicked voice, Tasha is barely able to spit out her next question…***
Tasha Jordan: You’re brother isn’t here, is he?
Clay: Well, he’s in the arena, but due to our individual matches tonight, we thought it would be best to prepare on our own. No fears Miss Jordan, you won’t see Samuel tonight anywhere but in the MPW ring…
***Tasha’s face slowly fills back with color, and she exhales a large breath, calming herself down…***
Tasha Jordan: Sorry about that, but you know how uncomfortable your brother makes me…
Clay: You and every other sane woman in this company. Look, I know my brother can sometimes be a little bit overwhelming, with his appearance and his message, but you really have nothing to worry about Miss Jordan. Samuel might not be the kindest man in the world, but he takes care of those who catches his eye. You should feel privilaged…
Tasha Jordan: Privilaged? Tell your brother I said thanks but no thanks…
Clay: That’s right, I forgot, you like your men a bit higher on the totem pole, isn’t that right?
Tasha Jordan: What is that supposed to mean?
Clay: Come on Miss Jordan, everybody knows about your many late night encounters with the MPW World Champion Trey Baxter…
***Tasha’s face becomes flushed, embarrassed at the accusation by Clay…**
Clay: Oh please, don’t sit there and be embarrassed. We are all sexual creatures, and if that’s what gets you off, then by all means, do what you feel you must. Sex is just an act of physical pleasure, no more, no less. Anyone who tells you differently is lying to you Miss Jordan. And you know as well as anyone here in the MPW, The Night Terrors don’t lie…
Tasha Jordan: Speaking of Trey Baxter, MPW World Champion, you and your brother earned a shot at the Tag Team Championships by defeated Christian Carter and Tyler Axe last week on Reloaded. Any thoughts for your upcoming Tag Team Title match?
Clay: Here’s the thing Miss Jordan. Currently those belts are currently being held by maybe the best single’s wrestler in all of MPW history in Trey Baxter, and the former Sin City Champion in Jackson Blaze. Now, Blaze may have taken a “vacation” as of late, but Iconic Aggression is not the type of team you underestimate. There was a reason that at one point, Iconic Aggression held every piece of gold in this company. But that day is quickly coming to a close. Blaze took his time off, forfeiting the Sin City Championship he held so dear. Lucas King lost the Television Championship to that punk Jason X, and hasn’t been seen since. Trey Baxter, all alone on top of the mountain, left to fend for himself in this chaotic world. And he might be good enough to pull it all off. Baxter could maintain the legend that is Iconic Aggression all by his lonesome, cementing himself amongst the greatest this industry has ever seen. Unlikely, but possible…
However, there is a flaw in that plan. No man, no matter how good he may be, can stand on his own against a force as powerful as The Night Terrors, or hell, even a weaker force such as The Resistance. It’s just too much. Especially when you consider that Baxter will not be defending the titles against a group of men. No, he’ll be defending against the undefeated “Monsters of The MPW”. He’ll be defending against the greatest team this industry has ever seen. And it won’t matter if Blaze finally shows back up and stands beside Baxter, nor if Baxter gets a new friend that is stupid enough to step into the ring across from The Night Terrors. The end result will be the same either way. Just like last week when we crushed Christian Carter and Tyler Axe, Iconic Aggression is doomed to suffer the same fate. It’s only a matter of time that The Night Terrors become the Tag Team Champions…
Tasha Jordan: Speaking of “crushing” Carter and Axe, your brother and yourself delivered quite the beating to Tyler Axe after your match. Why did you two feel that was necessary?
Clay: It wasn’t necessary Miss Jordan. It was a message to a like minded individual that it was time for chaos to be unleashed…
Tasha Jordan: Are you talking about Crow?
Clay: You’re a smart cookie, aren’t you Miss Jordan? Last week, the MPW saw the birth of the MPW’s Ragnarok...
Tasha Jordan: Ragnarok?
Clay: It’s essentially the Norse word for Armageddon. You see, the Norse believed that one day, they would be overwhelmed by the evil in the world, doomed to be wiped off the face of this planet. No matter how hard they fought it, they were destined to lose their lives fighting this evil. The only hope they had is that one day, after any and all semblance of humanity had been erased from existence, there would be one who would rise above the evil of the world, defeat it, and usher in an age of peace and prosperity that had never before been seen. And that is our part this this life?
Tasha Jordan: To defeat evil?
Clay: No, to be that evil. To spread chaos like a plague. To destroy all of those who stand up for the world and it’s pathetic inhabitants. To defeat forces such as The Resistance, whose very existence is the reason for the birth of The Damned…
Tasha Jordan: The Damned?
Clay: The Damned is dedicated to chaos, to destruction, to spreading darkness and fear into the hearts of all of the weak and feeble masses. Crow, Samuel, and myself did not band together to further our own personal goals of succeeding in The MPW. Nor did we join forces to stand shoulder to shoulder with friends. We wanted to do nothing more than to cause pain and sorrow. We want nothing more than to show the world the power of the darkness and fear. We want to eliminate The Resistance, and make them the first victims in the war of good versus evil. And the funny thing about it, is that if The Resistance would have never formed, they wouldn’t have earned their own death sentence…
Tasha Jordan: Death Sentence? You know you are talking about a group of five of the top superstars in the MPW, right…
Clay: Yes, their death sentence. Because by banding together to fight all of the injustices in the MPW, to right all of the wrongs, they themselves are responsible for the creation of The Damned. And now that we are here, we won’t stop until all of the MPW lays in ruin, covered by darkness, and our message is heard by the entire world…
Tasha Jordan: Speaking about The Resistance, you will have a chance to go one on one tonight with the Sin City Champion, Brandon Nytrus, in a bout that is being called the “Battle of the Giants”. Are you prepared for tonight Clay?
Clay: Am I prepared? Would I be talking to you right now if I wasn’t Miss Jordan? Look, I’m going to be completely honest with you Tasha. Tonight, I am prepared for the greatest fight of my life. I am prepared for the “Battle of the Giants”, as you called it”, like no other match in my entire career. Hell, look at this…
***Clay grabs the MPW Gold Rush Trophy off of the table to his side, and puts it onto his lap. Clay rubs his right index finger on the engraving of his name, and then looks back at Tasha, ready to speak…***
Clay: To win this trophy, I had to go through three men in a single night. I had to defeat Nytrus’s friend in arms Gabriel Griffin, and I nearly tore off his arm in the process. I had to square off against Adam Steele, and prove that with our without his joke of a brother Matt, Adam is nothing when compared to me as I nearly broke him in half. And after both of those battles, I still needed to face off against “The Franchise” Taufik, and I nearly crippled him by tearing apart his knee to the point that even still, weeks after Gold Rush, he still feels the effects of that very beating. Even through all of all, I am prepared to go through much more tonight…
Looking back at the history of this business, some of the greatest men in that very ring are considered Giants. “Andre, Hogan, Sammartino, all known for their strength, all known as some of the most physically imposing men this world has ever seen. It pains me to look at the landscape of the MPW and see that the men on top, such as Baxter, and just, well, small. Not that there is anything wrong with that, we can’t all be blessed with the size that Nytrus or myself have. Hell, look at my brother. Under two hundred pounds, and he has to fight with everything he has in order to make it where he is week in and week out. The decline of the Giants in this business is a sad truth, but tonight will be something special...
I know that tonight, the biggest and baddest of The MPW will collide in the middle of the ring. We are going to provide a show that the likes of all those pathetic fools who show up to The Staples Center tonight have never before seen. Andre vs Hogan will look like a mere child’s game when we are done. And to be honest, this may be the closest thing to “an even match” that Nytrus and I have ever experienced…
Tasha Jordan: Well, I for one am excited for the match…
Clay: And why wouldn’t you be? This is a special occasion for the entire MPW audience, whether they deserve it or not. And, continuing to be honest, maybe this is the one time I should doubt myself stepping into the ring. I am going one on one with the Sin City Champion. I am not here for single’s glory, but as a member of the greatest Tag Team in the business. My opponent, Brandon Nytrus, is a cornerstone of The Resistance, and a veteran of the MPW in his own right. As dominate as I have been thus far in my MPW career, I have never before faced a challenge this daunting on my own. Looking at all of that, I can almost understand that there are many out there that are claiming my undefeated streak in the MPW will be coming to an end tonight. And to all of those out there who doubt me, I have a message for all of you...
As much as everything I just said may be true, here are a few more facts for you to digest. Even though Brandon Nytrus is only one week removed from his amazing, albeit unsuccessful attempt to take the MPW crown from Trey Baxter, he has never stood in that ring by himself, and faced a power such as me. Nytrus has never had to rely on anything but his brute power and drive to move to the top of the food chain. But tonight, it will be a new experience not just for me, but the Sin City Champion as well…
Tasha Jordan: And what will that new experience for the two of you be exactly?
Clay: Have you ever heard the phrase “And unstoppable object meets an unbreakable wall”? Our match tonight will epitomize that phrase to the furthest extent. And when it comes down to it, the fact is, we may end up with two broken bodies in the middle of the ring. We may end up unable to continue, ravaged by the forthcoming battle. But, here is what separates Nytrus and myself. I am not here for the fame, nor the glory, or even the money. I am here to cause destruction, and if I end the reign of Brandon Nytrus, if I end the career of the Sin City Champion, then my job is successful. I am willing to sacrifice myself to cause chaos and pain to the MPW roster. I am willing to give all to show the world my power. And Nytrus, he can’t promise that…
Nytrus has friends. Nytrus has a family to take care of. Nytrus has legions of fans that look up to him every single day. He can not afford to give everything he has, because he must walk out of the arena. Brandon Nytrus even graces ads for the next MPW pay per veiw event, High Stakes. He’s a goddamn coverboy for Christ’s sake. He can not afford to end up with nothing. He’s even said it himself. Unless it’s a championship match, or to end something for good, Nytrus is unwilling to go to the lengths that I am to secure the victory tonight, be it come by pinfall, submission, or the fact that Nytrus is unable to stand after the beating I deliver to him tonight. And even after two consecutive losses, first to The Night Terrors in tag team action, and then to the MPW World Champion last week, he still claims that he isn’t coming into this match looking for the victory. He just wants to put on a good show. And after the beating he took last week, I’m not sure even Nytrus can tell you he’s at one hundred percent heading into “The Battle of The Giants” tonight. An error on his part, no doubt…
You see Miss Jordan, I go out to that ring every week, demanding the win out of myself, no matter the cost. Neither of us will be the same physically afterwards, and that’s a guarantee. But, a few things will remain the same. Brandon Nytrus will remain the Sin City Champion on a string of losses. And I, whether as a member of The Night Terrors or standing out there on my own, will remain the only undefeated “Monster” this company has. I will cause chaos and destruction in that ring, just as I have week in and week out since I arrived in the MPW. Unlike Nytrus, I know I am going to walk out with the victory, because simply put, I am better than him. Just imagine Nytrus, if I dedicated myself to the MPW World Championship. Or if I dedicated myself to taking that Sin City Championship from your waist and claiming it as my own. Nytrus should just thank his lucky stars that the only reason he is crossing into my path is because of The Resistance. Because at the end of the night, even in a loss tonight, Nytrus will still have that Sin City Championship to keep him warm at night. He’ll still be a husband, and a friend, and soon enough, he’ll still be a father. His face wills till be plastered on MPW posters nationwide, even if his appearance may change a bit for the worse due to our battle tonight. And if Nytrus truly wants to battle tonight, and fight with everything he’s got, I’m more than willing to take it all away from him. I come into this match knowing I am going to win, and that is the difference between Brandon Nytrus and myself. Brandon, just listen to me, and please, don’t make me take it all away, you’ll hate yourself because of it…
Tasha Jordan: Speaking of The Resistance, how likely is tonight's match to remain a one on one contest?
Clay: Honestly, I don’t want anything from The Damned tonight. No help in the ring, no words of wisdom, not even a good luck wish. And as pathetic of a giant as Nytrus may be, the one thing I know him to be is a warrior who doesn’t have to depend on others. I’m giving you my word, I have no plans for The Damned to make any kind of appearance at ringside, and I don’t expect Nytrus to walk down to the ring with The Resistance. I am out to prove that I am the only “Monster”, or “Beast”, or “Giant”, whatever you want to call it, that I am the only one that matters here in the MPW. I am out to show the world that when physical strength is matched, only the power in which I hold, the power of the the fear and darkness that runs rampant in this world, can help achieve victory. Yet again, I plan on defeated The Resistance, and at the end of the day, prove that when compared to The Damned, The Resistance is flawed. Unlike Nytrus, I know I will walk out the only survivor of the “Battle of The Giants”. That is the truth. And Miss Jordan, and all of you MPW fans listening to my words right now, you may know me as a heartless bastard, as a Monster, and as a freak. But all of you, and even Nytrus, you know deep down that I am not liar. See you tonight Nytrus…
***Without another word, Clay stands up, holding his Gold Rush Trophy in one hand, and gives Tasha a small, evil grin that causes some of the color to fade from her face. Clay turns to the camera, showing off the same creepy grin he gave to Tasha. Clay then turns, with Trophy in hand, and walks toward the open door to the room. Clay slams the door behind him as he walks out of the room. The camera focuses back on Tasha, who once again begins to compose herself. Tasha smiles and starts to speak…***
Tasha Jordan: Well, you heard it here folks, be prepared for a match that you will likely never see again, tonight, only on Sunday Night Reloaded…
***The MPW camera slowly fades to black, focusing on Tasha Jordan’s smiling face……………***
