[The scene opens up backstage of the Orleans Arena where the recent MPW Main Event has taken place. In front of the camera is backstage announcer Tim Bowers, microphone in hand, getting ready to speak.]
Tim Bowers: Ladies and Gentleman, what an exciting conclusion to Main Event. It has been a night of first, as the both Rage and John Fisherman have qualified for the Roll of the Dice match at high stakes, Aiden Caine has become MPW’s first champion, winning a grueling contest against Apostle Kried for the North American Title and the huge bombshell dropped by Johnny Clash on Drake Hunter at the end of the show. With so many questions heading into next week ad more Roll of the Dice qualifier matches, I cannot wait until next Monday for MPW’s first Supershow.
[Bowers takes a pause to let the audience take in his brief recap. He then looks over to his left and extends his left arm as to indicate that he has a guest with him.]
Tim Bowers: And speaking of next week’s Supershow, I am here with the man who will be making his debut with MPW in a four corners match, Bloodhound.
[Bloodhound makes his way into the camera’s views. He is wearing a pair of blue jeans, with a plain grey t-shirt. His face is emotionless, neither feeling excitement at being at his MPW event or disdain that he is about to be interview.]
Tim Bowers: Bloodhound, with being your first time at a MPW event, how excited are you after watching all the action take place out in the ring?
Bloodhound: Look Bowers, I did not come here talk about how “excited” I am about being part of MPW or to tell the fans how “awesome” tonight’s show was. No, I came here to scout out the competition in anticipation of my arrival and debut to MPW next week, hoping to find someone worthy to provide me the challenge that I crave. I could care less about all this NYCCW bullshit or the squabbling to establish a pecking order in the tag team division. Nor do I care about who is winning championships. I am only here to see if the rumors are true, that the MPW has to offer the best of the best in the ring.
[Bowers looks at Bloodhound with a somewhat surprised face, not expecting for the interview to start of so negative. Bowers quickly regroups and moves forward with the interview.]
Tim Bowers: Okay, well after the last couple of weeks, I think it is fair to say that the MPW definitely has some elite wrestlers on its roster. But returning to you Bloodhound, what are your thoughts on your upcoming match next week, when you will be facing Vucan, Aaron Knight and Sonja ….
[Bloodhound cuts off Bowers before he can finish his question]
Bloodhound: Everyone knows who I will be facing next week. My opponents are bunch of nobodies, in fact, I feel insulted that I am even placed in this match with a bunch of unproven talent.
[Bowers quickly attempts to get another question as Bloodhound has paused. Bowers begins to speak but his confidence at the beginning of the segment is evaporating quickly]
Tim Bowers: Well, meaning no disrespect, but, you know, you are new to the MPW talent and somewhat …….. unproven….?
[Bloodhound glares at Bowers and gives what only could be classified as a snarl in response to Bowers questions. Bloodhound is beginning to become more hostile as the interview progresses]
Bloodhound: UNPROVEN!!! Listen here you weak, insignificant little man ….. I have been in that ring for countless organizations, fighting countless men well before MPW even saw a glimmer of light. Your ego, as well as the rest of the MPW better check itself, you think you are a big f#$%ing deal because you have had a couple of shows, that you have crowned a champion. Well, you ain’t shit until I step into that ring next ring and I begin to dismantle the fodder that your great GM has placed before me.
[Bowers takes a big gulp, wanting to continue the interview but also not wanting to get his butt kicked by a pissed off Bloodhound. He thinks for a second trying to find the right words for the next question]
Bowers: I meant no disrespect ….., but moving forward ……, what do you think about your opponents next week?
[Bloodhound has calm down a little, ad it seems like he has been waiting to be asked this exact question. He still gives Bowers a death glare but a sly smile turns on his face as he begins to answer the question]
Bloodhound: Finally a smart question, Bowers. But what is there to speak about my competition. Except for Vulcan “woe is me” speech, they have all been no shows as to date. I bet the Molotov Mocktail or whatever she calls herself, got distracted when she arrived to Vegas, went downtown and is working the pole collecting $1 bills from crusty old men. As for Knight, well he simply realized that he was way over his head, tucked his tailed between his legs, and made the smart decision to hide.
[Bowers quickly interrupts Bloodhound, which is met another death glare as Bloodhound’s temper begins to rise, again]
Tim Bowers: But what about Vulcan, he addressed the MPW nation earlier this week…..?
Bloodhound: That will be the last time you interrupt me, Bowers. The next time you will be eating your teeth after my fist smashes your face. AS for Vulcan, the man with the Napoleon complex, no one cares about your past, no cares how rough you had, about your friend “Slim”, all that matters is what you will do in that ring. No one wants to hear about your life, how you were filled up with “self-doubt and pity.” All us of have skeletons in the closet little man. But the question is whether you can dig down deep, find a pair of balls and be a man. As for our match next week, you are right, we are all strangers and we do not know what to expect for each other. But unlike you, I have spent my life studying people, getting into their heads, knowing what they are going to do before they do it. I have stalked some of the most sadistic men in the world, only relying on glimpses of what I saw through a six-inch scope, as they moved in an out of their hideouts. How are you any different? Do you think that because you are new to the ring that you some hidden quality that will separate you from the rest of the pack. Most likely what will happen is that when the bell rings, you are going to freeze, and probably all that crap from your past you babbled about, will flash in you little head. And before you know, it will end as quickly as it began, and you will return to reality, gasping for breath as I make you tap out. And while I know this is most likely how our match will play out, a little bit inside of me hopes that “the rage” that exists in you is real, that maybe somehow, you do not piss yourself in that ring but manage to find the ability to fight, to provide me a challenge that I crave. I hope you can give may “all that I can handle” But I am not expecting much from you, or the others next week. After I am finished in the ring, I will turn my attention to my next target, someone that I feel may be able to handle the grueling challenge of providing the ultimate game for the hunt.
[With that Bloodhound turns his attention back to Bowers and slowly leaves while glaring at Bowers. Bowers gives a big sigh of relief as Bloodhound leaves, glad that the interview is over. He looks at the camera crew as it signals that it is off air and states that he cannot believe how much a dick Bloodhound was]
