(A small gym somewhere in California, a small hole in the wall with a wrestling ring set up in the corner of this dim and dingy area. Sitting perched atop the top turnbuckle is Impaler casting a shadow across the ring.)
Impaler (in a morose tone): So why is Impaler in the most desolate gym in the whole of California? Why am I in this dark, smelly, dirty place? Because it reflects the path that Soul Shadow put the MPW on when he took it upon himself this past Sunday to save his precious Aeryn Ashfield and at the same time allow her to secure the Roll the Dice Briefcase. You see Double S, I had your little lady’s throat in the palm of my hand, I felt her pulse in my fingertips, I heard her choke with every bit of pressure I applied, I saw the look of terror as she knew where she was about to go, and had it not been for your interjecting yourself at that moment in time she would be nothing more than a grease spot on the canvas.
(Impaler steps down off the turnbuckle and walks toward the center of the ring.)
Impaler: Double S decided in that moment when he witnessed his lady in danger took it upon him to sock me in the guts and become the Knight in Corroded Armor. Because in that moment Soul Shadow took it upon yourself to prevent this company, this wrestling federation, from moving forward to the next level while allowing Aeryn Ashfield to clutch that briefcase to get to her shot.
(Impaler chuckles slightly.)
Impaler: But ask yourself Double S what did you really do, by saving that tart what did you do? You gave up the opportunity for this company’s Champions to be tested and in the same moment the roster as a whole. You doomed this company to a slow and painful punishment. The learning curve will now become every competitor, every person, not just Champions. Starting of course with yourselves with the two of you which is so very appropriate if you consider it and what’s going to happen with you two this week as a unit working against what could possibly be the two most dangerous men in MPW.
(Impaler walks toward the ropes and leans against top rope.)
Impaler: You may think that what I am saying is hyperbole, that I am just blowing smoke. But look at Crow, a man who is amoral, only concerned with results, not concerned with who he hurts or why, but not only that the man has a genius level I.Q. which in and of itself is enough to be dangerous but combine all that and well you have a recipe for REAL change. This is our recipe for change, the true test of wrestlers is to be pushed to their limits to go to that brink of being broken or actually become broken. But instead of the quick and fairly painless way we had intended Soul Shadow and Aeryn seem to want this done slowly and painfully. This week you two will know what slow and painful is what it means to be beaten and beaten until you want to beg for an end. Believe it, real change is on the horizon, survival of the fittest is the way of life not anything else.
(With that Impaler turns his back to the camera as the scene fades to black.)
