Dear Trey Baxter,
I'm so sorry you have to find this out in a letter, but after everything we've been through, I just couldn't handle doing it face to face. I won't beat around the bush or lead you on ... it's over. I would tell you that I'm sorry, but the harsh truth is, I'm not. And I won't give you some corny excuse, like "It's not you -- it's me," because the even harsher truth is that it is you.
Even since High Stakes, you've changed. You're just not the same. You're smothering me and I...I just can handle this kind of relationship. Lately, you've been following me, harassing me, trying to eat away at my confidence. All I did was beat you, fairly for your title, and now all of a sudden, you've become super possessive. It's not something I'm cool with. In fact, It's extremely disrespectful and, to be perfectly frank, insulting. You aren't the magical God's gift to wrestling that you think you are, and I think it's high time I put my foot down and showed you that I have some uncrossable boundaries
I just can't take the rampant jealousy anymore. It's driven a wedge between us, and it really cramps my style. Now, it has come to this. It's not something I wish to drag around and beat like a dead horse, but I need some space and you're just not giving it to me. I wish we could just go back to happier times, but you just can't let it go. It's like you are looking over my shoulder when I text friends. It's creepy, it's sad, and now, you seem to fancy inviting another man into this. This is too much.
I've tried to be understanding and gentle. I understand you've been through some pretty bad times lately. You've had so many title and accolades just.. taken from you and it's hard to get those back. You're acting as if you're a god, and you should be treated as such, but nothing could be further from the truth. I politely challenge you, not the other way around. I supported you by giving you so much of my time. But this new you ... you look at us all like we're out to screw you over the first chance we get.
you make it so hard, demanding more and more of us every time we try to get closer to you. It got so bad that at one point you wouldn't even let me hang out and have a match without interfering, That isn't healthy in any relationship, and I just can't live like that anymore. And really, even if you looked right now, and took it all back, the damage has already been done.
I mean, everything you've done, I cannot feed your insatiable greed anymore. And I can't take the chance that somewhere down the line you won't just slip back into your paranoid ways, accuse me of cheating, and lock the whole house down under your iron grip.
I just need to be around people who will treat me better than you, which, shouldn't be hard.
I'm sorry, I know that's mean. I shouldn't have rubbed it in like that. It's hard to not be mad at you after all you've put me through, but I just really hope that you're able to treat the next person you find with respect and dignity. There are literally millions of people out there who want to love you ... if you let them. They are willing to take you in and care for you. They're willing to give you a home and money and attention. But I promise you that if you go into that relationship assuming that they can't live without you, they will very quickly, like me, show you that they can.
So this is goodbye, Trey. I genuinely wish you the best. Take care of yourself. If you ever decide you're tired of living life in the fast lane and want to slow down, ditch your paranoid way, take off this jealousy/rage mask you have on and just hang out with normal, everyday people, give me a call. Until then, you and I will be on opposites sides of the ring, and I will stand against you.
Sincerely,
Roxi Johnson (MPW World Champion)
[ We open with Roxi sitting on a rooftop. She stares at her wrist communicator talking to Vision. ]
Vision - What's up?
Roxi - I need a couple of favors.
Vision - What's that?
Roxi - I need Big Hal's last known location.
Vision - Sending it to you.
Roxi - Thanks. I also need one not so easy favor.
Vision - Okay...
Roxi - Do you have access to the Police Database?
Vision - Why....
Roxi - I need some information on Lieutenant Murphy
Vision - Why?
Roxi - Murphy's being secretive. I need to know just how deep he's in on this.
Vision - I'll do what I can. No promises.
Roxi - Thanks Vision.
[ Roxi swings away, looking for her next target. ]
[Roxi quietly sneaks in the area where he knows Hal to be. After scouting, She cannot confirm Hal is there, but with little effort she sneaks in unnoticed, confirming Hal, and a few thugs to be there. After carefully observing, she sneaks down and quietly releases some smoke bombs and distracts the guards long enough for her to capture Hal, and take him to the roof. ]
Hal - *Cough* *Cough* What the?
Roxi - We need to talk Hal.
Hal - You're...crazy.
Roxi - I need information.
Hal - I ain't tell you nothing.
Roxi - Aww, that's too bad. I just wanted to have a private audience. You know, we are all alone...
Hal - Shut up.
Roxi - Why are you targeting Murphy?
Hal - Murphy? I ain't done nothing yet. It ain't time.
Roxi - Well, that is communicating a threat, so I could take you in for that.
Hal - So what, you got nothing.
Roxi - Someone is targeting Murphy, and I want to know who. So, if it's not you, then who is it?
Hal - I ain't saying nothing, You ain't a cop! I got rights!
Roxi - You have rights. Lots of them. But as you said, I'm not a cop...
Hal - What are you going to do?
Roxi - We're going to start from the beginning, and you're going to tell me everything...
[ Flash forward, and Roxi sits down next to a beaten Big Hal. ]
Hal - You....you're crazy.
Roxi - Was it good for you too?
Hal - I will make you're life hell for this.
Roxi - I'm sure. Get in line. You're going to have to wait you're turn. I got plenty on my plate right now.
[ Roxi's wrist communicator goes off. ]
Vision - Got the info you needed, or at least some of it.
Roxi - That's good. I'll come pick it up when I'm done here.
Vision - Almost done?
Roxi - I'm about to wrap this up.
[ Roxi turns back to Hal.]
Roxi - Well, it looks like our fun has ended. But, if I need anything, I'll call. In fact, I'll come back and visit.
Hal - Ugh...
Roxi - Look on the bright side, you can tell everyone you beat me up. It works for a lot of people. Ta-ta.
[Roxi swings away. ]
All kidding aside Trey, That letter did have a lot of truths in it. You have become an obsessed, paranoid ex-champion. What kind of man are you? You have let yourself sink to the level on crybaby who's insane jealousy has led us here. To a street fight. This is what you wanted Trey. This is what you demanded. Because your insanity has blinded your better judgement. What do you expect to prove to me? What do you expect the end result of this grand plan will be?
You want to break me? Sorry. I don't break for anyone. My morals and my code make me who I am. There is nothing you're going to say or do, no sexual reference, no insulting pet names, nothing is going to make me break. Because I know that is what you're hoping for. You want me to lose it. You want me to be unfocused when you finally get your re-match. It's not going to happen Trey. It's one of the most desperate things I've seen a man do.
I guess it's because even though seemingly every show ends with you attacking me from behind or hitting me with an object, that you think you have some sort of edge. But yet, the title I have, the World title, is still around my waist. I'm stilling coming to every show, and my message of hope is winning out. Look around you Trey. No one fears the IA anymore. People have taken the fight to you since my return. People have stood up, and bested you no matter how much fear and intimidation you attempt to spread. I am the symbol that you cannot overshadow. You have no titles. The IA as a whole has 1 title. Jackson still has the Sin City title. At one point, you have all the titles. You wore them all. And now, you are hanging on by a thread to keep up the illusion of power and control.
This street fight is a last gasp to prove something. Maybe to me, maybe to yourself. Maybe it's because you need to reassure yourself that when you challenge me for the World title, you aren't going to lose again. Is this what you have become Trey? Well, I almost hate to do this to you, but the end result of Reloaded will be me defeating you, because I know I can. The only thing I'm worried about now, if Crow sticking his nose in the match, because it's just the popular thing to do in my matches all of a sudden.
On Reloaded, You want a street fight, you'll get a street fight.
