Before I get rolling discussing this weeks big match with Christian Carter, I need to talk about something. And now, it's not Kurt Newman and last week's shenanigans.
Taufik, I know you are a proud wrestler, and a great one as well. We had a long discussion about you joining, and I was on bored, because I know the kind of man you have become, and how you have evolved. Plus, being a friend with Emi didn't hurt your cause either. But Taufik, this isn't a free ride. This isn't a buddy club that with sit around and do nothing. The Resistance is made up of people who carry on the good fight. We're giving you an opportunity. I have trusted you, Johnny and Chrissy trusted you. Please do not let our trust be misplaced.
Now let's move on to more important things.
It's an issue I know all too well. It's something I've prided my career on. Being ready for anything, and overcoming the odds. I'm always at the disadvantage in most matches, but yet, here I stand with the world title over my shoulder. It's a testament to me, but I'm not really in a festive mood today, even though the holidays are around the corner. At this point, sure I've won my wars, lost battles, it's my choice to fight them. And I know that having this belt on my shoulder makes me marked. It makes me a target. It comes with the territory, I'm aware. And actually, the exciting part is now, it's coming from everywhere.
I know most people, most champions, are always looking ahead, and never to the side. This is the main reason why these get beaten. You have to check everywhere. I took my eye off the ball last week and it cost me against Kurt Newman. Now, did I expect Christian Carter to run down and interfere? No. But in a way, I'm glad he did. It assures me that Kurt Newman, while formidable, can be beaten, and he just wanted to be sure that he could beat me. And I'll give him a little credit. He did just that. But, the fact of the matter is, his win a tainted by the fact that Christian ran down to the ring. You know that Kurt, I was expecting better, especially from you, but that's not the point this week.
This week, it's getting a bit of payback on Christian Carter. The lost soul of MPW. The man who likes to turn on every partner he has, betray everyone he knows, and generally be a debbie downer about everything under the sun. Let me ask Christian, is it a thrill for you to sucker people? Do you get your kicks that way? Because it's an awful way to go about things. Bad form Christian. Last week, if you wanted it, you got my attention. And for you, that's not a good thing. Now it's on Christian. You get your chance to dance with the world champion this week, are you ready for that? Well, actually, it doesn't matter if you're ready, because it's going down right on Reloaded. I'm coming to Reloaded with revenge on my mind. The only thing I'm not 100% sure on is whether or not to make it even more painful than usual. You did run down to the ring and superkick me. You did pretty much cost me the match against Kurt Newman, and for what reason? I don't know. The bottom line is now, you're going to have to step into the ring with me, and not while I'm in the middle of a match with someone else. Very few have walked into the ring when I stand across from them and come out on top. That list alone is a who's who of this company. And Christian, your name is not about to added to that list. A cheapshot artist punk like you, who's trying to bring down everyone in MPW is not going to beat me. I'm not going to allow that.
And no, it's not because I am the champion. It's not because of last week, it's not even because I'm a world famous superhero. Nope. It's just general principle. I will not stand for this. Hey, I'm not going to lie, I like the imitative you showed, you just went about it in the wrong way. And now, you have to pay the penalty for your actions. That's how things work around here now. I've beaten bigger, stronger, meaner, and tougher than you. I've beaten smaller, weaker, eh, you get the point. You can't be the first example I set Christian, And no, you won't be the last, but you will be the next example. An example that most of the people of MPW choose to follow: Do not get on my bad side. I'm not a mean or bad person, but if you take a shot at me, if you try to destroy what I helped build, if you try and take me down, you endure the repercussions. It's that simple. I treat this the same way I treat the hero gig. You do bad things, you break the law. You break the law you get punished for it.
Now, on Reloaded, I'm going to make sure that you really pay the price for you actions. Trust me Christian, I'm going to make you think twice about doing anything like this again. I may make you apologize to all the partners you betrayed if you're not careful.
And stop being a sad sack over there. Lighten up, you're in a wrestling promotion. There's a guy here who thinks he's Eliot Ness. It's not that bad.
But then again, I can make it a lot worse come Reloaded.
See you there.
