Lately I've Been Losing Sleep

~We open up in a hotel room as the light flicks on. In walks Chrissy Starr with a dazed look on her face. She sits down on the bed and takes her jacket off. She sighs and looks at her phone. She dials her sister and puts it on speaker phone as she begins to change~

:::Violet::: Oh my god Chris I was just going to text you. I just got the cutest shoes. I have to send you a picture of them they’re..

:::Chrissy Starr::: That sounds good Vi

:::Violet::: Everything okay Chris?

:::Chrissy Starr::: I don’t know Vi. Things are just changing and im not sure if i’m okay with it.

:::Violet::: What do you mean?

:::Chrissy Starr::: Well to start we added Taufik now to The Resistance. He’s tough and is a great pickup for that but I want that Television Championship so bad. Now my partner has what I want. That’s going to be tough to handle. Also I’m the only one in the Resistance without a Championship at the moment. And well…

~Chrissy pauses and looks down at her nails as she files them~

:::Chrissy Starr::: Well Johnny hasn’t been texting me as much. I know we aren’t dating or anything but hes been so busy that we haven’t even gone to lunch or hung out. I don’t know i’m sure im just reading in to it too much like I usually do.

:::Violet::: Yeah you need to calm down Chris. You have an important main event match to worry about this week with Taufik. You have to be ready for Cable and Jason. You have faced Jason before but Cable is someone new to you. You have to be ready for anything he offers and it certainly looks like he is in a crappy mood lately. Just keep your head up and go out there and kick ass

:::Chrissy Starr::: Yeah I know. It has just been a rough few weeks but I know i will get over it. I spoke to dad not too long ago when I visited the house.

:::Violet::: Oh yeah? I’ll be there for Thanksgiving. I didn’t know you were home recently.

:::Chrissy Starr::: Yeah Violet. He’s not well. We should look in to help for him.

:::Violet::: Well i’ll see how he is when I go to him on Thursday. I don’t think it’s necessary.

:::Chrissy Starr::: Violet, he’s not healthy. His knees barely work anymore so he can’t walk and on top of that I think the cancer is back…. as much as I hate to say it.

:::Violet::: ……….

:::Chrissy Starr::: Violet?

:::Violet::: *clears throat* Like I said i’ll see how he is when I go up there Thursday for Thanksgiving. Now Chriss, do what I said and kick ass Sunday okay?

~Chrissy presses the end button on her phone and sits back. A knock is heard on the door as she stands up now in sweatpants and a t-shirt. She looks out the peephole and her face lights up~

:::Chrissy Starr::: Hey, what are you doing here?

~Johnny Clash stands in the door way in a sweatshirt and skull cap~

:::Johnny Clash::: The heat just cut off in my hotel room. Can I crash here a bit until they fix it? They said it should be a half hour

:::Chrissy Starr::: Yeah of course come in

~Johnny hands her a cup of hot chocolate from Starbucks. She smirks~

:::Chrissy Starr::: Thanks Johnny

~Chrissy closes the door and Johnny stands in front of the heater~

:::Johnny Clash::: I didn’t know it was this cold at night in Ohio

:::Chrissy Starr::: Well what did you think it was the desert here?

:::Johnny Clash::: I thought it was like Arizona. You know palm trees and coconuts

~Chrissy laughs~

:::Chrissy Starr::: Well that’s not quite Arizona either. You’re so cute when you’re dumb.

~Johnny laughs and takes his sweat shirt off and sits on the bed. Chrissy sits next to him~

:::Chrissy Starr::: So taufik huh.

:::Johnny Clash::: Yup. The guy can get it done. I think he will be a great addition to our little family we have here. I’ve known him a while I can trust him and hes very loyal.

:::Chrissy Starr::: Cool coool.

:::Johnny Clash::: you are okay with that right?

:::Chrissy Starr::: Oh of course. Anything to help the group. I think that CAble should be stopped anyway possible and if bringing in Taufik is what will help take the load off of us then that’s fine by me.

:::Johnny Clash::: great. Trust me we have big things in store for us.

:::Chrissy Starr::: I believe you. I always have. You and Roxi are good leaders. I can never express how grateful I am for what you guys have done for meint his company.

:::Johnny Clash::: Stop you’re making me blush.

~Johnny laughs as Chrissy smiles at him. They smile at each other awkwardly as she looks away. They’re hands inch closer to each other and finally he puts his on top of hers~

:::Johnny Clash::: You know a year ago, I would have never expected to be here today like this. A lot changes in a year. Hell a lot changes in a month, even a day. I’m glad that it all worked out the way it did.

~Chrissy smirks at him. They sit in silence for a bit before Chrissy rests her head on his shoulder~

:::Johnny Clash::: tired? Sorry I didn’t mean to disturb you. I can go for a drive or something if you want to sleep?

:::Chrissy Starr::: NO! I mean… no. It’s fine.

:::Johnny Clash::: okay…

~They smile at each other. Chrissy leans her head on his shoulder again. She looks up at him as they start moving closer together. Suddenly his phone rings as he jumps up and looks at it~

:::Johnny Clash::: Hello? Yes it’s Johnny. Oh the heats back on? Oh great Thank you.

~Johnny hangs up as Chrissy stands up and clears her throat~

:::Johnny Clash::: That was the front desk. My heats fixed. Thanks for uh letting me crash here a bit. I’ll see you Tomorrow night

~Chrissy just nods through a fake smile. He leaves and she turns the light off behind him as she falls on to the bed~
