After a much needed week off for me last week, I've had a lot on my mind all this week, and a bunch of thoughts on many, many things I could talk about.
I could talk about Valentina Madison, and how far she's fallen. Because there's probably nothing more pathetic than an adult wrestler, a professional, whining and complaining about everything under the sun. Especially one as talented as Valentina is. It's so sad to see a sight like Valentina come out on National TV and whine and moan like a petulant child who hasn't gotten his or her way. I could talk about how this is pro wrestling and that's something that happens. People get attacked, they get beat down. I've had a target on my back since I won this title, and time and time again I've been on the recieving end of an attack from multiple wrestlers. But what you do is take it, dust yourself off, pick yourself up and press on. What you don't do is complain when no one comes to your rescue every week. I never figured Valentina for a person who required saving every week, considering how talented she is.
But, I digress. Because that's not what I mean to talk about this week. Because there are bigger things going on other than one woman's career crisis.
This time, Johnny, Phoenix Rising and myself, the champions of MPW, face, well, what was called The "All-Stars" by Jason X. Jason, Christian Carter, Chris Cable and Kurt Newman. All-Stars is a cute name, but doesn't really make a lot of sense. Aside from November, Kurt Newman has been more myth than legend. Jason X has made no progression. Christian Carter is more know for betraying everyone he's been even remotely associated with, and Chris Cable has been a sidekick the majority of his time in MPW. I am proud of Chris and Kurt for stepping up their games over the past month or so, but it seems that bit of success has made them incredibly arrogant concerning this match. As if I, Johnny, or Phoenix Rising are pushovers. I think what we have done speaks volumes about who we are and what we're about.
The war games is obviously a dangerous match. A match that is filled with danger and an aura of foreboding. Careers can be shortened, or even ended. It will be violent. It will be dangerous. It won't be pretty. It's the kind of match that most people are a little leery about getting into...
It's the kind of match that I am super excited for.
It's the kind of match where, once again, my mettle will be tested, I always welcome challenges like this, being the first to win these types of matches. I have risen to the occasion time and time again over my career here. And with the partners I have, I have complete confidence in another victory for not only me, but for Johnny and Phoenix Rising, who have worked very hard to get where they are. It's going to be a fight,
and since the week off, I am spoilin' for a fight right now.
[ Roxi sits at a desk studying the piece of metal she found where the metal man struck. ]
Roxi - Anything on that?
Vision - It's a rare metal. If this came off the Metal guy, he's got some rich people backing him. Smart too.
Roxi - So, who would benefit some that computer stuff he took?
Vision - Many people. But, I'll try to narrow that down for you, and then you might be able to get better info.
Roxi - Right. And...anything on Paula?
Vision - Rox, I've checked every lost child and orphange data base on file, unless there's one out there that's unlisted or not on file, She's not in any of them. No picture or name match. Other than the ones she was already in, but it never lists any parent or guardian contact.
Roxi - That doesn't make sense. Then who the heck is after her?
Vision - I wish I knew. I also wish I knew what you were going to do?
Roxi - I don't know, I still have to go talk to Johnny and the others about UnCivil War.
Vision - You can't just leave her here.
Roxi - Well, do you want to watch her?
Vision - Not my department. You're going to have to give her up.
Roxi - I made a promise to help her.
Vision - We've done all we can Rox, there's nothing left on her..
Roxi - We can't give up now. Let me get through this Metal guy thing, and then I'll worry about her. For now, she's safe.
Vision - For now.
[ Paula enters the room. ]
Paula - What are you guys talking about? Did I do something wrong?
Roxi - What? no. Of course not. We're just trying to find out some more information to better help you out.
Paula - I'm sorry.
Roxi - Why? You didn't do anything wrong.
Paula - I'm just a burden.
Roxi - No, it's okay. It's just going to take some time. I promise, we will get through this.
Paula - Thanks Roxi.
Roxi - Now, I've got to head out and follow up on some stuff and talk to some people. I'm going to need you to stay here. I'll be back soon.
Paula - Okay.
Roxi - I left some food out for you for later. If I'm not back in time to eat with you. I should be, but just in case you get hungry.
Paula - Thank you.
[ Roxi shuts down the computer, puts on her costume and leaves out the window. Paula looks around and quietly takes a seat. then Roxi comes back in through the window. ]
"Lady Bedlam" - So, this is it.
Paula - Hey, I thought you were leaving?
[Startled, the imposter thinks for a moment. ]
"Lady Bedlam" - I just forgot something. It'll only be a minute, why don't you go play in the other room.
Paula - Okay.
"Lady Bedlam" - That's sweetheart.
[ As Paula leaves the room, the imposter begins looking around, and taking things out of her belt, and planting them in various locations before turning back to the window. ]
"Lady Bedlam" - Well, I'm all done, I'll see you later...
[ In and out, the imposter leaves just like that...]
I know my opponents all too well, all of them have given me grief in the past. Heck, Jason Xavier took the TV title from me. And I liked that title. I made it my own. I took it places it has never been. But, all good things must come to an end. But it's not like Jason did a lot with that title anyway. But, at least he was better than Lucas King holding that title. Jason is a two time TV champion, but really, that's about it. I've beaten him time and time again, but I'll give him credit for persistence. He's always supremely confident,for...some reason, and you know, I can respect that. Obviously, if you don't think you're going to win every time, you shouldn't be out there. So, there's that, good for you Jason. But you aren't a big match player Jason. You know that. You know that even with two TV title reigns, you aren't a superstar. You're going to have to rely on Kurt and Chris to pull you along if you want a chance to be victorious. I mean, you obviously can't trust Christian Carter, so you're options are kind of limited. Chris isn't really a good leader, and Newman? He's all about himself. Good luck with that Jason.
Moving on, I will concede that Christian Carter actually beat me that one time. With Kurt Newman's help, but hey, I'm sure Christian isn't complaining about beating the world champion. So, I am glad that Christian Carter at least has ONE highlight to his name outside of turning on every partner he's ever had. And much like Jason, Christian isn't a big time guy either. In fact, Jason...is more successful than Christian Carter. That just dawned on me, and to be honest, that's really disappointing to think about. Not that I'm taking you lightly Christian, but given your track record, I would guess that you will turn on your partners. I don't think any of them trust you, and really, nor should they. I wish there was more to you Christian, but before me, there was just your trust issues. But maybe you'll surprise me Christian, maybe you'll be the MVP of your team. Maybe you'll rise to the occasion and lead your team.
And then, I will see some oceanfront property in Arizona.
Anyway, That leaves Chris and Kurt. I guess I'll talk about Kurt first. Once again, Kurt is another guy who has..well, to be honest, not lived up to lofty expectations. I mean, Kurt was around in the beginning of MPW and I thought he would be a champion before too long. And then...nothing. And then all of a sudden, he's finally become the main event player a year too late. Granted, he's beaten me, and Johnny, and a lot of other people IN a short amount of time. Hey, that's great. I'm happy that Kurt has finally blossomed into the star he should have been a long time ago. But outside of that month, Kurt Newman has been a big "what if" in MPW history. He's an example of what could have been, but there's not much there. It was a good thing that he got rid of Crow. He's done some good things, but all of a sudden he's acting like a month and a half of work is good enough to act as if he's a hall of famer. I'm sorry to be the bearer of bad news Kurt, but even with the good deed done, you haven't earned much praise or done anything to be worthy of the pat on the back that you're giving yourself. I mean, you're walking around with a title that means nothing because you're not a champion, and you need to feel like one. I appreciate the confidence, Kurt, but this is now the main event, and against what you are up against, you have a lot more to prove to the world than what you've shown so far. I really look forward to grinding your face against the cage.
Well, that just leaves Chris Cable. Chris, I really enjoyed our match last month. You really gave me a run for my money. No question about that. But in the end, your cheating caught up with you. I know you've been trying to break the sidekick stigma you've been stuck with for a long time. You did a good job to remove that when you stepped up last month, and maybe, if you have chosen to do this sooner, you might have been a player sooner rather than way too late. That seems to be a common bond between you and your team. You should have been a lot better, a lot sooner. But now, it's too little, too late, because people like me now stand in the way. You couldn't beat me before Chris, you couldn't take my title, there is no way you are leading this team of underachievers to victory at Uncivil War. This is a match where your team needs to step their games up, and while I really would love that Chris, I just don't see it. Chris, you've always been a follower, not a leader. You have your chance now, but do you have what it takes? I guess we'll see what it comes time.
It's going to be a war, ladies and gentlemen. There will be no holding back in that cage. faces get mangled, people will be hurt. Careers and lives will be changed. I know full well my team is ready. We all know what we have to do. We are ready to do what it takes to survive. War is something I know all too well. I've been in wars before, and I'm still here, and my opponents in those wars, are not. And with the team I have with me. We will not only win this battle, but the war this is war games..
I'll see you all there.
