Valentina Madison is back in her home in Evanston, Illinois after her Uncivil War victory and the grand statement that she made. She's clearly happy with what she's been able to do lately and she's very determined to get what she feels she deserves. She hits play on her DVD player and walks back to her couch.
Valentina Madison: I made my on-screen debut at High Stakes II back in September, though it wasn't through a wrestling match, it was through a vignette. I am about to play said vignette and I'm going to give it quite the critique.
Her TV screen shows the beginning of that very vignette....
(FROM MPW HIGH STAKES II, {OOC note, the parts in red indicate the stuff Valentina is most disgusted by, the purple parts are her commentary})
"Old" Valentina: Professional wrestling! I love how a sport, that many people pass off as being catered to the lowest common denominator, is actually more complex than one would think. No matter which wrestling company you look at, you’re always going to find diversity among the wrestlers. There is always something for everyone, no matter who you are. Of course, with time, the sport evolves. With time, creativity runs wilder in one decade than it did the previous decade and from what I’ve observed in the last week or so, MPW has numerous different personality types, from the bubbly to the arrogant, from the inspired to the types that say “we’ve been there before, this is nothing new”.
The woman stops to think for a few seconds.
"I have to admit that things were off to a good start when I said those words."
Woman: And I, personally, am honored to be a part of this complex, athletic and at times, theatrical competition.
"Oh...my.....god! I actually said that? "Respect". "Honor". No wonder people took advantage of me"
For many people, wrestling isn’t just a sport, it’s a lifestyle. To those that are part of this sport, they know that they were put on this earth to be a part of it. I’m very excited to say that I am among those that know that. My name is Valentina Madison and I plan on learning everything that I can learn about this great sport, this proud company and the tremendous, diverse cast of characters that this company has to offer.
Valentina pushes the bulletin board off camera and backs up a little bit to stand underneath the Northwestern banner.
Valentina: I understand the stereotypes that come with people that are proud of their secondary education. People typically see them as obnoxious and arrogant. Or perhaps they pass them off as “nerds”, “geeks” or whatever derivative that you want to use that goes along with that. However, I’m not like that. I’m no better than any of you, but that doesn’t mean that I’m just going to let people write me off and underestimate me.
"Somebody get me a vomit bag! Two things here: First off, I was too nice by saying 'Hi, I'm satisfied with mediocrity! Like me because I'm sweet, kind and caring." Secondly, that piece of filth that was once me let people write me off and underestimate me every single week, thus, leading to people taking advantage of me."
I may not be experienced in the wrestling world, but I know that I can use the advantages I have against anyone that steps in the ring with me and also, I can study my own disadvantages and weaknesses so I can learn how to fix them. I look forward to competing against each and every one of you and this journey of mine that I’m about to partake on is going to have plenty of wonder, unpredictability and excitement.
"OH DEAR GOD! NO! Wonder? WONDER? I wonder why you ever existed, you soft, fairy-tale loving piece of garbage! Unpredictability? Nobody could have ever predicted that I'd be taken advantage of week after week, so you're most certainly right on that. Excitement? Pardon my language, but bitch, you were BORING! You want excitement? It's about to happen, Miss Intellectual is about to rise up the ladder and claim what she deserves, most notably the MPW TELEVISION CHAMPIONSHIP!
Valentina smiles as she’s excited about what’s to come for her.
"Stop smiling you overemotional, weak, pathetic little hussy! Wrestling is not about being smiling and happy, never was, never will be! Piss off you!"
Valentina: I’ll be seeing you very soon MPW! Let the wonderful journey begin!
"Indeed, but it's over for you! Thank god! Miss Intellectual has taken over!"
(Back to the scene)
Valentina Madison: God, that was terrible! What kind of narcotics was I on when I came into MPW back in September? And that's a figure of speech, I'm straight edge so don't go there my ignorant MPW peers!
She pauses.
Valentina Madison: Taufik, you heard me say this earlier. I'm coming for the Television Championship and I'm going to take it from you. Until then, educate yourself as much as you can and realize that all Roxi Johnson is doing is teaching you how to be a horrible champion and a horrible representative of MPW and professional wrestling itself. I'm Valentina Madison, and I'm smarter than you! Happy New Year!
