Another day, another week, another challenge met and overcome. A must say that Johnny, and Phoenix Rising did a fantastic job out there, and made my job of heck of a lot easier. So the champions beat a very game team of challengers, and now it's time to move on from the events of Uncivil War.
Chrissy's choice was bizarre to say the least. I don't fully understand why she did what she did, but she effectively put an end to what was running it's course anyway. The goal of the resistance was to stop any group from trying to monopolize MPW in any way. The goal was always to just be around and act as a deterrent. And I think we did a good job, but it was about time to end it for the time being anyway. It was going to be an announcement on Reloaded, but Chrissy ruined it and dissolved the group for herself. She will have to deal with Johnny in the coming weeks. Now I get to move on to the Army of One rumble, and another title defense. But, even before that, there's Soul Shadow.
Soul, you proved yourself a worthy partner at Uncivil War, and a great wrestler. Everything I believed about you, you proved to be true. It was great to have you as a partner and I consider you a friend. And that's not going to change even after Reloaded, when we go one on one. It will be both an honor and a privilege to face you in the ring on Reloaded, but you and I both know about the competitive nature of this business. You and I both know how much championships mean to the champion. You and I are no different. We both like being champions, we both like winning. As a man with your experience and having had the great career you've had, you know what it takes to be a champion, and you know that I have put my heart and soul into being the champion of this company, world title or not. I respect you very much Soul Shadow, and I know you will bring it with everything you have. You always do, and you always have. I know you are a great wrestler, but in the end, I think we can both agree that I will be able to outlast you in the ring. You know I'm younger and have more energy. There's no point in trying to hide any gameplans from you. Despite our age difference, Obviously I want to play to my strengths and not try to brawl or anything like that. You've been around long enough to know all that stuff. I will give you everything I have Soul, and I know you can take it.
You proved that in the war games. I knew from the start it was a wise choice to put an iron man like you in the cage first for our team. I knew it would pay off in the end, and it certainly did. You proved once again you are a great ring warrior, I can only hope that I continue to do that, and what a better way to test it, than by wrestling you on Reloaded. I'm not going to lie, it brought a huge smile to my face seeing your name on the card next to mine. In any capacity really, this week, it's opponents. And that's one small joy for me.
I am excited for this match, and I hope at least once more we can do it again. Maybe you'll impress MPW management enough to gain a world title match at Army of One. Heck, even if you enter, I'd still be cautious about betting against you. But being the champion means a lot to me, and losing to you, despite there really being nothing on the line, still isn't something I would be completely happy with. I want to win, because I'm still making my mark in wrestling, you've had those moments. I am still writing my story, and a victory over you looks really good. And after all is said and done Soul, I will shake your hand as I move on to the next challenge.
Be it you, or someone else.
Come to think of it, who else is there?
[ Roxi returns to her apartment later, and Paula is still awake. ]
Roxi - Hey kiddo, what are you still doing awake?
Paula - I was waiting for you.
Roxi - Hey, it was just a business thing. I told you I'd be back.
Paula - Did you find what you were looking for?
Roxi - What?
Paula - When you came back.
Roxi - What are you talking about?
Paula - You came back cause you needed something.
Roxi - I don't know what you're talking about. Are you sure you didn't dream it?
Paula - No, you came back.
Roxi - I don't know what to tell ya sweetheart. I guess I did.
Paula - That's good.
Roxi - Now, you need to go to bed.
Paula - Okay.
[ Paula walks into the bedroom, and Roxi boots up the laptop. ]
Vision - Rox, I got a hit on that metal you found.
Roxi - Really?
Vision - It's rare, and expensive, and only a few people in the world have any use for it.
Roxi - How many is a few?
Vision - 3, But two are overseas, one is right in town.
Roxi - Who's the lucky winner.
Vision - A large purchase was made last week by Douglas Parker industries.
Roxi - The weapons guy?
Vision - Yup.
Roxi - Looks like I'm going to have to have a chat with him.
