To my MPW Family,
This is one of the hardest things I ever had to do. As you can see MPW has been inactive for a few weeks. The drive, desire I once had to write is just gone. I have been working this fed for over a year all by myself and it takes a toll on you. It is time consuming and can be stressful at times and time is something I have very little of. I can't say I did it completely alone because you all have been amazing and helped me out a long the way with writing, segments and storyline help.
I can't believe we are closing our doors and even worse that Road 2 Glory was so close and we just couldn't hang on. I will regret that part of it but on the other side of this it's something that has to be done and we can look back at the past year and a half and smile because what we did was fucking awesome. I have never met such a good group of ladies and gentlemen that like to help out and care so much about a wrestling online federation. I feel horrible that I couldn't fulfill this and give you guys back what you put in.
With that I think we should look back on MPW as a stepping stone. Many of you have been in the Efed world for quite some time and many of you are new but I hope that having MPW on your resume makes your accomplishments more prestigious.
In this coming week I will be reverting the site back to normal (taking off all the PPV stuff) and switching it to my personal web server so we don't have to continue paying angelfire. I will be adding an alumni section on top of a top 10 MPW moments page.
There are some people I want to thank:
Mort - There is nothing more I can say about you besides that you are the man. YOU ARE THE MAN. You have bailed me out more times than I deserved on result writing. I am forever grateful for what you have done for this federation on top of running Step Up in the beginning. Keep doing what you are doing and I hope to still see you around.
Aeryn Ashfield - This one is going to be short because we still talk regularly. I thank you for coming out of retirement and being the same kind beautiful person you were when I met you 12 years ago (holy shit). Thank you for your time and effort here in MPW and I wish you the best.
Brandon Nytrus - I love how you control a stable and tag team. You always put up with our storylines even when they didn't benefit you. I love your work and I can't wait to meet you in June when I rule the NWF!
Chris Cable - Such a good guy and you certainly came a long way from the NYCCW days. I wished that one day you can be our Champion and I am sorry that never happened. Don't fall into any Soccer Nets!
Jackson Blaze (Dave) - Thank you for all your work and effort and helping us with stories along the way. You were a true pioneer of MPW and the Main Event division. Never a dull moment and your writing was ridiculously good. Thanks for everything and wish you the best.
Hawk/Stefan/Kayley - Sorry your MPW ride was cut short but it was great to have you and hope to run in to you guys in the future.
Jason X - Jason, we put you through hell in the TV division and held you back in TWI. You stuck it out and proved yourself over and over again. I appreciate everything you did for this place and since the MPW's existence you missed only two shows. You are a true class act and thank you once again for your time here.
Kurt Newman - oh man the list can go on and on with shitty bad things I can say about you. I am completely joking you know I was always your biggest fan and couldn't wait for your role-plays or video updates. That segment with Kurt at the olympics was genius and I still laugh at it to this day. Thank you for doing what you did here and I will definitely be seeing you down the road. If Kurt Newman was a sandwich I would put my Swiss cheese on his salami.
M.A.N. - Thanks for your short lived MPW stint. MAN is a great character and I look forward to working with you in Boston in June. Talk to you soon buddy.
Nathan James - Thanks for everything
Roxi Johnson - Our last ever MPW Champion and someone who deserves to be in the MPW hall of Fame. I knew one day you would be World Champion from the second you stepped in this place and you put on one hell of a run. Thank you for everything and coming back when we let you go under false pretense. Always reliable and always pulled through with awesome role-plays that we looked forward to reading every week.
Soul Shadow - Mike, you are also the fucking man and I don't know if I could have gotten through the last few months here with out you. You can role-play about anything and everything and win hands down. I had my bet placed on you for the Army of One Rumble! Thank you for what you have done here and I certainly will be seeing you soon.
Taufik - My Man! We messed with you all the time and you took it like a man and gave it back. Truly good times my friend and I can't wait until you make it to the WWE one day whether its wrestling against Heath Slater on Main Event or as a camera man. Thanks for everything.
Valentina Madison - Thank you for constant contribution and help Ryan. Your role-plays are great and your match writing is even better. I appreciate all you did these past few months.
Kuk and TJ - Dumb and Dumber. You guys were part of the MPW revolution a year ago and I thank you for it. I will be seeing you guys around the efed world and can't thank you enough for what you did here.
Drake Hunter - Alex, from NYCCW when you robbed me of Superstar of the year… to right now… you have always been one of my best friends in the efed world. You did everything you could to save NYCCW when the bitch broke it down and coming over to MPW you certainly proved you are one of the greatest around. THank you for everything man and ill see you around here!
Mandy - I can't say enough about you. You have always been there for this company and me personally. When I was down you pulled me back up last year and you did the same recently. I love you like an older sister and you will never get rid of me now! Thank you for everything you did for this place whether it was match writing or contributing segments and getting a story going. Always full of ideas and not to mention look at your graphics? You became a pure natural! Thank you thank you thank you.
Oz - Always tore up the role-play board like Josh tears up a White Castle crave case (oh you're next Josh). You always bailed us out with matches and when you were part owner and killing people on Call of Duty every night was epic (not for chris and Alex with sentry guns). I will make my way down there one day to eat a big Tex sandwich. IT WILL HAPPEN!
Josh - We started this place from the ground up building on an imploded company and it took off from there. Look at all we did with this place since it started. We ran it like the old fucks we are and it made for a great time. You always took the nice guy role while I was the asshole but it worked because no one messed with us. Without this place I would be one best friend shy and im not afraid to call you one of my closest friends now. Whether it was making fun of Steve at Wrestlemania 29 or having my ex girlfriend buy you ginger ale in Toronto… we always know how to kick the towns ass and make them know who the real Icons are. Without you I probably wouldn't be wrestling today and wouldn't be living in the world i dreamt of living in since I was two years old. One day we will win those tag team titles even if its on a computer. Thank you brother.
If I missed anyone its not personal I just simply ran out of good things to write. I love you all, every single one of you and you made this place amazing but for now I must do what my first theme song here said and… walk away. I thank you all once again and I promise that you will see me around an efed ring once again soon as well as a real ring hopefully in your home town. For the last two years you guys have been my family and my scapegoat and for that I am forever grateful.
If you guys want to keep in touch my twitter and Instagram name is @jclash21. My facebook is www.facebook.com/yoneboii i would love to add you all.
