Time to Step Up

[The shot opens with a man standing behind a small podium, in front of a group of people, only showing the neck of the man and a crowd of blurry faces. Slowly the camera swings around and focuses on the man, who stands looking down, then looks straight forward at the crowd]
My name is Jimmy and I'm an alcoholic

[The camera now gets so focused you can recognize the Alcoholics Anonymous sign in front of the podium as we hear the group reply]

Hi Jimmy and Welcome

[The man at the podium again stares down clearing his throat before he stats to speak]

It's been 1year and 5 months since my last drink... It has been a hard battle, a guy in my profession often gets tempted, but I have persevered taking it one day at the time, taking each of the 12 steps and followed the guidance of my higher power, so I can stand here today

[An uneasy look darkens his face as he once again looks down from the crowd, then looks up with a sigh]

I'm thank full for a lot of things, thank full to a lot of people and to the business I love... cause although it was this business that led me to the bottle it was my choice to take the first drink, it was me who held that bottle and the sickness that wouldn't let me let go of it... well knowing this people from the same industry have given me another chance, given me new hope for my dream and given me something to work for and for that I'm as thank full as I am to you and the program... Thank you

[With that the group applaud each other and then starts to break up, Jimmy shaking hands and talking to a few of the other people before heading for the exit]

[Outside a community center we find a young man in a white suit, that looks pretty expensive, he keeps staring at his watch like he is waiting for someone... A couple of girls walk by, the man sends them a flirting smile, as they pass by him, they giggle a start whispering, the man takes a few steps towards them]

Hello girls, I see you noticed who I am already, so why don't i get to know you?

[the girls giggling turns into laughter]

I have no idea who you are or who you think you are, but you need to come up with a better pick up line.

[They start to walk of as the man look flustered as he shouts after them]

Wait up! I'm David Alexander... Mr. Main Attraction... I'm a wrestling star!

[The girls just laughs harder at the desperate attempt, leaving him stand back sulking. Suddenly a hand is placed on his shoulder]

Struck out again huh?... you have to be more patient David your not that much of a star yet

[As David turns he looks straight at his tag partner Jimmy Fatal, whom he'd been waiting for]

You scared them of dude, I had them just where I wanted them had you just waited a little longer we would have had hot da...

Sure we would! But nows not the time to get light headed, we need to get ready, this might be our last chance.

Well what the hell do you think I've been doing all day, but you been to busy noticing it!!!

[Jimmy grabs David by the collar and smashes him up against the wall]

Now listen up you little brat, you know what happens if I end back up in the bottle so don't you tell me I'm waisting by going to meetings!!!

Cool down Jimmy, I didn't mean the meetings I know what they mean to you

[Jimmy lets go and David straightens his suit as they start to walk]

But what about me getting up to train, while you enjoy your manicures and massages?

[Jimmy is about to jump up in another frenzy than notices the big grin on David's face, he ducks his head and looks slightly embarrassed as he mumbles]

You know I have weak nails and easily tense up

Stop sulking Jimmy... soon we will be major stars we just have to prove ourselves on Step Up its gonna be great

Yeah your right, I talked to Bill Adams earlier, and it sounded like that he expects us to deliver our best, so lets focus for that for now.

Cool with me Jimmy... By the way have you had dinner yet?

No I'll grab something at the restaurant at the hotel

Sounds expensive

It is but its the nearest think to the gym, besides they have the best foie gras there

[Jimmy is about to throw another fit as he turns toward David staring at him with puppy dog eyes]

Sigh... OK dinner is on me

Great I'll pay you back soon, but I had to buy a lot of things for training and so of course and then I got a parking ticket and...

Jimmy puts his arm around David and they walk down the street with David rambling on about why he hasn't got any money]
