I walk into this building always shocked by the sheer size. A long hallway with a red carpet looking like it was vacuumed multiple times a day as the hall is finished with an impressive statue in the shape of what seems to be something of a cherub holding a bow ans arrow. I look around till I see the reception desk which takes up the entire MPW locker room.
[Receptionist: Hello sir, what can I do for you today./color]
Cable: Yeah hi, I'am here to see a Mr. Bryant?
Receptionist: And what is your name?
Cable: Chris Cable madam.
The receptionist types away for a few seconds before looking back towards me.
Receptionist: I'm sorry Mr Cable but there is no appointment for a Chris Cable here.
I step back laughing.
Cable: Sorry, is there anything for my real name Chris Hardy?
I hand the receptionist my ID which has my real name on it as she looks at me and the card before typing away again.
Receptionist: Ah, here we go there is an appointment for you Mr. Hardy right now actually. So all you have to do is take that elevator 2nd to the right up to level 21 and Mr. Bryant's office is right there.
I smile at the receptionist before I walk towards the elevator and after a few minutes I arrive at the man whom I am meant to meet this afternoon. I go through a big iron door and there after spinning around in his big chair was the man that a once respected who got me all so far in wrestling and in life only to try and ruin me. This man Shane Bryant owned the company which was the first I had got into in wrestling, The Australian Wrestling Association
Mr Bryant: Well hello Hardy, it's good to see you. Wow how long it's been, since I've seen you or even your buddy Drake Hunter for that matter but this isn't about him it's about you.
I show no sign of affection or even expression to a man that I hadn't seen in over 5 years.
I have seen you all over the headlines of pro wrestling news since you got here and it's great to see how far you have gotten.
Cable: Alright stop the small talk Shane why the hell have you ask me in here. Also I like the little touch in calling me Hardy, to bad that now I haven't used that name in a very long time.
Bryant: That's the thing though Chris because it has been that long since we have seen each other that I don't really recognize you as Chris Cable, because by my memory the last time we saw each other you took advantage of me and made the big time because I guided you and then you just decided to throw me to the gutter and go solo.
I cut Bryant of there
Cable: Well you see Shane is this the reason why you called me here today? To recreate arguments that we buried a long time ago. You know right and well what you did and if you want to argue about it then I will walk out that door.
Bryant: No Cable that's not why I called you here today.
Cable: So you're calling me Cable now?
He laughs before turning back to a serious attitude quite funny which surprises me.
Bryant: The reason why is because as you would now I am now a very successful business man in the world of wrestling. After I sold AWA because of the fact I lost my two main attractions I cam here to America and became the managers and owners of some of the best wrestlers and companies respectively. I have had success but you Cable have only had one win in MPW since starting and I think under the management of me you could go very far.
Cable: I know I have had a slow start to my career here but the competition is stiff and there is a lot of good wrestlers here.
Bryant: Well Chris, I know you have the talent to go very, very far and I think that with me you would be able to not only turn your career around but win your match against Taulfik, because I'm not sure if you would be able to beat him Cable.
I get out of my chair and lean over the table near the face of Shane
Cable: You don't think I can beat that big headed balloon of a man Taulfik in a match? I know it might not seem like someone who is at such a cross roads like myself can beat him? Well let me tell you now, put it in that paper you own that what will go down at High Stakes will be the end of Taulfik and when I knock him out and leave him on the ground for the ten count that he will regret ever disrespecting me again. Apparently I had nosed into Taulfik's business apparently and now he has made me mad because he went on to do what he does best and that is be a little weasel and attack me from behind with that fish stick Justin Fischer, so don't tell me that I can't beat Taulfik because I can and I will. So make sure to send your congratulations when I stand over Taulfik's limp body as he gets carried to the hospital after a ripcord elbow!
I begin to walk out the door before turning back
Cable: Oh yeah and the answers no.
I continue to walk leaving Shane in a surprise exit, the conversation seemed like it would keep going but I had heard enough. That man had tried all his life to interfere with mine after I had left him to travel the world and then finally end up in the states where I reside today. I knew that what he wanted to do was hit a sensitive nerve and go for something that was on my mind and had troubled me, but what he needs to understand is that I am smarter then he thinks and I should not be taken lightly.
After what seems like a 20 minute walk I finally exit the huge building looking up still wondering how a little weasel like Shane Bryant could end up like this as a millionaire.
I here the buzz of my phone as it is my [ironically] my current agent who tells me of an interview which I had to go to while I was in Chicago before I head to High Stakes. I take a deep breath before joining the walking pedestrians to "The Chicago Afternoon Show" to do an interview
